Charitable Rust 2021: Great success!

I’m thrilled to report: Charitable Rust 2021, which took place this weekend, was a huge success!

Estimated amount raised: $190,000!!!

That’s right! Between the stream donations and estimated skin sales, it appears that we’ve raised around $190,000 for Preemptive Love so far. And, there’s still an opportunity to give...

Four skin sales: Still going!

We had 4 exclusive skins on the item store this year, all of which flew off the virtual shelves!

Thank you to our talented skin creators, Phase, Robstar, Diazz, Mishka, Sfonsper, and badtRIP for the hard work and talent that went into making these skins for the item store. Also, a huge thank you to the skin creators of the Twitch drop skins, zuf, Gooreek, Duck, Milho Frito, Anetta, and FireFly. An extra big shoutout and thank you to ThatGermanGuy who, for a couple years running now, has organized the skin contest for this event (and helped co-mc on the day of).

It’s not done yet though, the skins are still on the item store till Thursday! If you haven’t already, go pick them up and let’s keep increasing the total amount raised!

Over $45k in stream donations

We started with a modest $10,000 goal on our Tiltify campaign for the stream event on Saturday. After quickly beating that, we upped the goal a couple times, ending day 1 with over $28,000 raised!

Then, for the first time, we had a day two event with Ray C and Frost, hosted by Rustoria. A huge thank you to everyone who participated on day 2. From their hard work, they managed to raise over another $17,000, bringing the total stream donations up to just over $45,000 for the weekend.

This is more than twice what we’ve generated from stream donations any other year! A huge thank you to everyone who donated, tuned in, and spread the word about this campaign to help us not only meet, but exceed our stream goals.

Thank you to Preemptive Love!

A huge thank you to Preemptive Love for their collaboration with planning the event this year and for all the amazing good they do in the world through helping those most negatively impacted in conflict zones.

Our Tiltify campaign is still open, so it’s not too late to raise more funds for this great cause!

Thank you Facepunch!

We owe the entire crew at Facepunch a huge debt of gratitude for their continued support in Charitable Rust. Every year they have partnered with us to help raise funds for this event and this year they went above and beyond. They not only helped raise awareness, they once again agreed to put skins on the item store - the proceeds of which go towards this great cause. On top of that, they ran a Twitch drop campaign which had our viewership higher than ever before!

I can not thank the entire team at Facepunch enough for their ongoing support and tireless commitment toward improving and adding to the already incredible game that is Rust.

For the second year in a row, in the interest of encouraging a little friendly competition, we used a team leaderboard system which tracked and aggregated hashtags in each donation towards a team goal.

A special thank you goes out to every Rustafied VIP customer. It’s the VIP program which keeps Rustafied operating - without it we would not have the presence and servers which we do. Each year we save a portion of our proceeds for charity. On behalf of you all, Rustafied donated over $2,500 during this event!

This years’ event took literally thousands of hours to set up the server, prizes, invites, and everything else which went into the production. Scrap winners!
