Player was online for 13 minutes. In that time period, they stole a player's corn, and followed them into their base to harass them. When I verbally went over the rules, they acknowledged that they knew them and left the base. Immediately afterwards, they insulted the player in global chat, and got warned for player disrespect. Finally, they went over to an unlocked tool cupboard, authorized it and took all of the materials inside, approximately 6500 wood. Permanent ban enacted for raiding.

How to Play

This event is a free-for-all style and the goal is to knock your opponents down off the twig platforms and into the spikes below. Everyone will start at the top of the structure, and players will slowly fall.

Rules and Info

- The last three players alive on the twig platforms will receive the top three prizes
- Players will be given a kit consisting of a weapon, clothing, and ammo (usually a wooden bow, 100 wooden arrows, and one fire arrow).
- Each player will have ONE fire arrow that will instantly break a platform. Use them wisely!
- If you hit the spikes, or are not on a twig platform, you are out of the competition.

It is possible to fall multiple levels which could get you in a wounded state. If you don't get back up, and die, you are out, although you can try to convince other players to help you back up.

If you fall and hit the next floor you may shoot the platforms above you if there are players above. However, if you are out of the competition, including in the spike traps but still alive, you are not allowed to continue shooting the platforms above you. This will disqualify you from future rounds. Also, playing and glitching by standing on the wall frames will get you a disqualification.

Prizes

There will be multiple rounds. Prizes will consist of various surprise in-game items.

MINI EVENT: Hardcore Parkour

Thursday, December 23 from around 9-11PM EST

I will be at the Winter Carnival tonight and will set up a mini event to make it easier to revive and try out the parkour course! First four players to complete it this wipe will receive a bonus distress signal each.

Simultaneously, I will supervise the Carnival games for anyone that wants to try them out and earn duct tape.

Hope to see everyone there!

Hardcore Parkour tips:

• Bring lots of meds and food. It is COLD!
• You can teleport to the nearby stone quarry and run back to retrieve your body if you die.
• There is sometimes more that one path to reach the top...

Prizes:

Every real-life day (in EST) that you complete the course, you will receive 100 duct tape! Simply leave a note with your name at the end of the course. Make sure to click away first and double check that the note has saved!

The course might also change slightly day-to-day for variety.

• Challenge your friends to a variety of arcade games and see who comes out the winner.
• Inspired by previous carnivals and events, this is sure to be nostalgic for longtime RustEZ players.
• Check out the main building, where the Rustmas photobooth features some festive scenes. Snap photos of you and your friends, and maybe Santa, too!
• Do some fishing and trade in your catches for duct tape, which can be used to buy exclusive prizes at vending machines inside the Rustmas Photobooth building.

Keep your eye on this post for announced times of events in which you can earn even MORE duct tape as well as other festive prizes. I will also be hosting spontaneous mini events throughout wipe at the Carnival.

To get there: teleport to the Stone Quarry and then walk just a little south. You can't miss it!

Remember, you can teleport for free to the stone quarry by typing /home in chat, clicking to the World teleport tab, and then clicking on "Stone Quarry." Just be sure to place either a bag, bed, or beach towel first.

There's a difference between messing around, having fun, and harassing/disrespecting other players. After the player asked you to get out twice and leave them alone, you continued to harass them and mock them over voice. It was only once they mentioned the word admin that you left them alone. An admin should not have to be called in order for rule-breaking behaviour to cease. It should not be happening in the first place.

You have already used up all your chances to play on RustEZ servers, and have even been given an extra one. The ban will remain in place.

I trust you will find another server that better suits your playstyle.

Thank you for appealing your ban.

You and your teammate were harassing the other player inside their own base for a few minutes, as well as mocking them over voice, only leaving once an admin was called. As you already have a ban on record (see here https://rustez.com/forums/topic/4571-yaboihippo-banned-us-pure-7-days/ for details) any further warnings usually result in an immediate permanent ban. I chose to give you one extra chance last night, since a fair few months had passed since your previous temporary ban, giving you only a warning for the heli griefing, and made it clear in the warning that any further infractions would result in a permanent ban.

Just over 24 hours later, this incident of disrespect and harassment occurred, and therefore a permanent ban was enacted.

As such, the ban will remain in place.

Hey there,

Three are actually a few other items with different skins that are bugged like this, like the skull trophies. It is definitely a Facepunch bug. The newly skinned Christmas sled is actually the one that is readily available through medium presents and super stockings, and yet it is bugged for listing in vending machines.

May I suggest that, instead, you wrap the sleds with wrapping paper (which is abundant this time of year) and then you can sell them that way?  Can put a sign up saying what is inside the machine.

We generally follow a three strikes and you're out policy for dealing with minor offenses. Within 12 hours, you received two warnings for stealing, and then the third (which became a permanent ban) was for player disrespect, following disrespectful comments aimed at other players in chat. You have been consistently trolling and arguing with other players throughout the night in general chat. This is not acceptable behaviour, as we try to maintain a fun, friendly, and peaceful community.

That being said, I am willing to reduce your ban to 72 hours. Once 72 hours have passed from the time of the ban, you will be able to rejoin. Please take the time to read and review carefully the server rules, as any further rule infractions will result in a permanent ban with no more chance for appeals.

As for the request for an admin to help you finish the Christmas surprise for your friend; this is something that falls out of an admin's jurisdiction and is not something we will be able to assist you with. Once a player has been permanently banned, they are not permitted to return on any account. You already know this, as your wife's account was also banned when you returned to the game to play on it. I have discussed the matter with leadership and they agreed that an immediate permanent ban was also necessitated on this account.

Yep! Backpack is fine and safe. These are not organized events with the /event commands, so everyone is free to try them as they wish until wipe.

Only the two parkour challenges should really pose any risk of death, but I wanted to add a bit of a disclaimer just in case.
