Decay is a just a pain, simply placing the quarters in the machine. It gets really old. 

I recommend making VIP decay proof once a TC is set. The ten day rule would clean out those that are not committed and those not invested in VIP would be more motivated to join. Its seems that the vast majority of player are not VIP on scourge.

Maybe it would be better if one could raid bases that are decaying at least beyond a certain point,  (a certain number of hours from start of decay??)  I'm not a coder so I don't know how difficult that would be.      I really don't mind filling the TC with "quarters".   It's not that hard if you don't make a huge base, especially as a solo player.   You could up the interest in VIP by making those raids a VIP perk.   I love VIP BTW.

It all comes down to how smart a player is, when base building.  If they want to make a monstrosity of a huge base....they  have to keep working to feed it.   It's the key principle of the game.   If they kept it manageable,  then we wouldn't have people whining about it.   Some of these bases are ridiculous in size, unless you have a huge committed team to keep it up.

What they said. It's in the description, it's meant to deter big bases. If you can't afford the upkeep, build smaller.

Not what I am saying. It just repetitive and a beating after a while. VIP has its privileges I think this would be a good one. Again most players on Scourge are not members. Sleepers literally everywhere.

You aren't wrong about the sleepers... Holy crap.

If you struggle with decay, maybe survival is better option. 

It's easy to run a lap with an axe and pick and get mats for a entire wipe, especially with the teas that been added. 

Build what you can maintain.

I am saying it is way to get more players to buy in to the server.  If you like to grind just to feed your TC, so be it. 

Yes I like survival much better, I like having quarries and I wish for lumber mills. I do like shooting a zombie now and then. It seems in scrounge there is a lack of culture, there is almost constant begging in the chat. 

 

The other problem is the server is thick with sleepers who don't apparently do want to feed the TC, and the number of twig builds because they are cheap to maintain.  Decay causes lots of issues it would seem.

I play primarily on survival. I, as well as many others, would like to see some decay. It would put a damper on the amount of lag monstas. It would also keep the amount of random 2x2 twigs and single twig platforms to a minimum.
