VIP FAQ

How do I claim my VIP supply drop?

Type /vip in chat to claim your free daily supply drop. The cooldown resets daily at midnight (EST). You may claim one VIP supply drop per day, on each RustEZ server.

How do I use my VIP recycler?

Type /rec in chat to use the VIP portable recycler. To bind the recycler press F1 and type bind <key> chat.say /rec.

Can I transfer VIP to a new account?

We do allow memberships to be transferred to alts accounts or other players. Keep in mind that once it is transferred it no longer is yours (unless you own the other account as well.) Send us a help ticket to request a transfer.

How does no fuel consumption work?

No fuel consumption for ovens lets you to smelt ores or refine crude oil without the need for fuel (i.e. wood). It works with the furnace, large furnace and small oil refinery. Please note that this VIP perk is not available on our vanilla or PvP servers.

Is VIP permanent?

VIP is a one-time payment and is valid on all RustEZ servers! Click here for VIP perks and other details.


Server FAQ

When do the servers wipe?

Rust is an ever-changing and expanding game that requires a monthly wipe. These wipes are to apply changes that would otherwise break the game. Wipes are essentially a fresh start, it removes all player and world data to allow changes and updates to take effect. Servers wipe during these periods which are typically the first Thursday of every Month. If this were to change so too would our wipe schedule as it's in line with that of official game wipes.

How do I apply for admin?

How do I report a player?

You can send us a help ticket at https://rustez.com/help/ or you can create a thread in https://www.rustez.com/bans

How do I report an admin?

Use the contact us feature to send your report discretely.

What is the difference between the servers?

All of our servers are unique in their own way. You can find a list of features for each server by clicking the servers name on our connect page.

How can I see all server commands?

Type /help in chat to see a full list of commands and helpful information.

How do I use my backpack?

Backpacks add an extension to your current inventory size and can be accessed by pressing B.

To use your backpack type /backpack in chat or press F1 and type bind <key> backpack.

 

How do I set a home?

You can place a bed or bag and type /home in chat to access the home menu. You can find a list of features for the home system on our Survival and Scourge servers here.

Where do I report bugs?

Use our bug tracker to submit bug reports or any discrepancies you find while playing on our servers.

What do the colored names in chat mean?

The colored names you see in chat represent different roles within in the RustEZ community.

  • Blue: Community member
  • Orange:  Community member, VIP role
  • Pink: Community member, Subscriber role
  • Green: Staff role

Where can I find the server rules?

The rules are located on the Server Info tab. While connected to the server, hit Esc and scroll to the bottom of the server description. You can also access server rules from our Connect page.

On our modded servers you can also type /info in game chat to read the rules.

How do I unlock the full backpack?

The full player backpack can be unlocked with VIP.

Will I keep my blueprints after wipe?

Blueprints do not carry over. We wipe player blueprints on the monthly forced wipe.

How do I earn credits?

You earn credits by logging in and playing on our Survival and Scourge servers. You will earn 100 credits per hour while on the server, plus earn 5 credits for each NPC kill - including Zombie kills on Scourge. You can also sell items on the black market ( type /shop in chat) to obtain credits. On Survival, you can loot credit rewards from crates.

How do I spend my credits?

Credits are used in-game on our Survival and Scourge servers. You spend credits on revives, ports (/home/friend) and when you buy skins or make purchases from the black market (/shop).

How do I hide the killfeed?

The killfeed is part of the RustEZ hud. To toggle the hud on or off type /hud in game chat.

How do I hide the user interface and hud?

Hide the RustEZ hud:

  • In game chat type /hud

Hide the game user interface:

  • Hit Esc
  • Select Options on the left
  • Select User Interface in the middle
  • Select OFF for the following:  Show Hud, Show Chat, Show Nametags, and Game Tips
  • Hit Esc to return to the game

You will need to turn on the game's user interface options and then type /hud in game chat to restore all settings. See the video tutorial for additional help.

How do JPipes work?

JPipes is a Rust mod used for automation of quarries, boxes and utilities (furnace, oil refinery, pumpjacks, water barrels, BBQs and so on). It is available on our Survival servers. To connect containers with pipes type /p in game chat. To bind the /p command, press F1 and type bind p jpipes.create. You can also view a JPipes tutorial here.

How do I trade with players?

Type /trade "player name" in game chat to open the trade window. You can also access player trade through the Friends Manager (/friend).

How do I place an image on my sign?

Look at the sign where you wish to display an image. In game chat, type /sil <url> (where the URL is a direct link to the image file). This is available on our Scourge and Survival servers. You can view the command on the server by typing /sil in chat.

 

How do I add text to my sign?

You may add a message to be displayed on the sign and specify the fontsize, color, and bgcolor. Look at the sign you wish to display text on. In game chat, type  /silt <message> [<fontsize: number>] [<color: hex value>] [<bgcolor: hex value>]. This is available on our Scourge and Survival servers. You can view the command on the server by typing /silt in chat.

Can I have a personal mini or scrap heli?

A feature on our Survival and Scourge servers lets you collect mini and scrap helicopters using your salvaged hammer to redeploy later. View the video here.

How do I share items for public use?

On our modded servers, open the container you wish to make public and click the "Share Container" button located at the bottom left of the container's loot panel. To remove public access, open the previously shared container and click the "Unshare" button.

On our vanilla and PvP servers, place the item in an unsecured way (i.e. no locks, placed outside your secured area) if you wish to allow public access.

What time is wipe?

Typically, servers update around 2 PM EST / 17:50 PM GMT / 18:50 BST on the first Thursday of each month. Unfortunately, we're at the mercy of Facepunch to release their updates within the scope they give us. You can follow #announcements in our Discord to track wipe day progress and to receive a notification when our servers have updated.

How do I bind chat commands?

To bind chat commands, in F1 type bind chat.say /command.

Where can I find a fishing pole?

On our Scourge and Survival servers, the fishing pole is an in-game item that can be looted from supply drops, heavy scientists and zombies. Players often sell fishing poles in their vending machines so be sure to shop around on your server!

Will my base require upkeep to prevent decay?

Our servers with no decay have "no decay" in the server title and description (check here). Our servers with decay include Surge (vanilla decay rates) and Scourge (30% less than vanilla decay rates).

How do I unbind a key?

To remove default Rust controls, press ESC, select Options and then choose Controls. To remove a custom keybind, press F1 and type bind <key> "".

How do I skin an item?

On our modded servers, equip an item to your hotbar. If the item is attire, cycle through your hotbar items using your mouse scroll wheel to select it. Once selected, type /skin in chat to open the skin shop menu. On our vanilla servers, you can apply any owned skin (from your steam inventory) to an item using a Repair Bench.

How does inactive purge work?

If a player is offline for more than 2 weeks a system is deployed that checks all of their placed building components. If either component is attached to a foundation containing a tool cupboard, it will check the authorized list for active players.  If there is at least 1 active player the system is disposed and nothing happens. If there aren't any active players, everything by that player is removed.

How do I change my username?

You cannot change your username manually but can send us a request to do so for you at https://www.rustez.com/help We enforce usernames so it reflects your actual steam name.

Can I register an account manually?

We do not allow manual accounts. If you're having issues registering through Steam please contact us.

Why didn't I receive my items I purchased?

If you're experiencing issues with a store purchase please send us a help ticket at https://www.rustez.com/help or https://www.rustez.com/support

How do I contact an admin from a specific server?

You can message an admin directly from our staff directory or create a help ticket.

How do I delete my EZ website account?

You cannot delete your account manually. Please contact us to request account deletion or to retrieve and remove any personal information we have stored. Account deletions are irreversible!

Can I just donate rather than buying items off the store?

Yes and we absolutely appreciate any and all donations! You can find the donate instead option on the store's home page or can access it directly here.

Do store purchases carry through wipes?

Store purchases are a one-time thing and lasts until they're gone if that's by death or other natural causes, including wipes. Memberships are permanent and do lasts forever. Purchases made a week prior to a wipe will carry over upon request. You will see a warning on the store page during the last week of wipe. Or see Store Purchases Wipe Day

How do I gift a player an item on the store?

You can purchase gift cards that other players can redeem and use on our store. If you need assistance or have questions please contact us.

Can I transfer store purchases between servers?

No -- but should you mistakenly login to the wrong server after purchase please send us a help ticket and we'll get it sorted.

Can I refund a store purchase?

Depending on the circumstances we do offer refunds. To see if you're eligible send us a help ticket or contact us.

Discord FAQ

How do I get my role on Discord?

You'll need to link your Discord account on our website for your role to sync.

1) Head over to https://www.rustez.com/settings/?area=discord
2) If you haven't already, sign in and proceed to the next step
3) Now click Link your Discord account and login to your Discord account

Where are events posted in Discord?`

All events news and announcements are posted in the #announcements channel.

What are the rules for the Discord server?

This information is available in the #weclome channel and can be found below.

• Respect everyone regardless of their roles.
• Spam in any capacity will not be tolerated.
• Harassment, hate speech, racism or abuse will not be tolerated.
• Links and images may not contain pornography, racism or controversial imagery, reference or not.
• You may promote yourself in #general once every 24 hours. You may not promote communities.

Are there perks for boosting the server?

Not currently though we do plan on adding exclusive Discord-only perks to boosters.
