Honestly I think I can speak for a lot of the players when I say we'd all appreciate if people started getting banned/muted for using autism as an insult and using the R slur on the server.

Two days in a row we've had players being ableist directed at other players("You're a R!", "What do you have Autism?", etc) obviously being mean and trying to be insulting, while admins were active online and they did nothing, not even a temporary mute.

Having the admins enforce bans/mutes and adding the R slur to the auto ban / mute list, would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sasha,

Last month we had 2 players that were banned for using the r slur aggressively as an insult at other players.
I wasn't aware of any use of it this month, had a quick look at the chat logs. The one instance I saw did not result in a ban in this case, as they were referring to themselves rather than being derogatory to another.

The player who directed autism comments at others was banned. I think we all observed that the player in question was projecting many of their own personal issues onto players in our community. I felt the comments made were pretty inappropriate. I'd hope the 2 players would have dm'd me or another admin had it deeply offended or caused them harm but will check in with them as they're lovely people.
Trolls thrive in the attention (causing offense and inflaming chat) and will reach a point too far. It's best to report the issue (which you've done, thank you), block and mute the player involved. Discussing the offensive remarks in chat can make moderating chat difficult, emboldens other trolls (as we've seen this wipe.) and feeds the OP troll.

As admins we have guidelines that we stick to, if we gave warnings/mutes/bans for swearing, minor disagreements between players, one-off inappropriate joke or remarks we'd be over moderating what is considered a mature server.
