question about false ban for my friend

so my friends and I are new to pc rust and shortly after we got rust we found this server we read the server rules one of which being racism the main problem here for say the problem at hand is that my friend got banned for a sign at a motel we were building I say we as in 3 people the third individual however has quit the server due to it being (boring) to him so since then which has been about a day or so its been only me and my other friend the one who was banned the reason he was banned is because the friend who quit put up a rather vulgar sign in the motel tc room before leaving and we had not known about it till recently due to the fact tcs are not very needed on the server with the no decay that and the tc at the motel is locked behind multiple doors getting back on track though my friend who got banned was banned because he was the last person to interact with the sign in an attempt to delete it and before he could he was asked to do chores by his mom and help with his little sister and when he got back he had died from starvation I believe and when he was back he was doing other things after re spawning and then in his own words (had a lag spike and then was Perma'd) he then went on to appeal the ban and was told that bans are not lifted and that he was essentially out of luck and I'm simply here to see if there's anyway that could possibly be lifted due to the fact he did not write that sign and was attempting to delete it I understand if its not do-able but I really hope something can be done here due to the fact we really enjoy this server and have put a bunch of hours in it within the last couple days

i would like to start off by making note that we are not allowed to discuss player bans with anyone beyond the admin team and the banned player, however what i can say is that if this is in relation to [REDACTED]'s ban, what you're being told is not what actually happened, and it was 100% legitimate, and 100% content created by that player at the time the autoban trigger happened.  Appeals for that type of language ARE accepted from time to time, however in the players appeal post, instead of being sincere and giving us a reason to consider the appeal, they attempted to downplay the situation by lying about what actually happened.  While we appreciate character witnesses, we can only consider the circumstances surrounding the incident when making a decision on a ban appeal.

i appreciate Ur professionalism but my only question is that how can you say for 100% that he created the sign when i have proof that the other individual gave proof they did it after the fact of making the sign the evidence being that they sent a dm on discord saying (i left you a gift around the motel) i at the time had no clue what this meant but id like to believe if someone essentially admitted to making the vulgar sign it would be them if youd like i can provide ss from dms if not all good

this incident had nothing to do with a sign, if it did it would have been a manual ban by a member of the admin team, and generally signs that break the rules would only be a warning (with a couple exceptions that are immediately bannable)
