Goat Posted October 10 Report Posted October 10 Hi Everyone, Currently playing on AU Scourge and we only have Ranch with no Barn. For the past day prices on all 3 flowers have been at 1 scrap each with no sign of easing as people have completed their farms. The challenge of keeping and eye on both sellers and cashing in certain flowers when they were on the up was a great challenge last wipe. I was wondering until next wipe if the prices could be less dynamic given they are going to just be locked a 1 scrap each for the majority of wipe. Flowers play a big role in the economy it would be good to keep so fun in when to sell them. I'm interested to know if the other Scourge servers are facing this problem too. Thanks, Goat. 1
K4S1 Posted October 10 Report Posted October 10 (edited) We have the same problem here on EU and probably on US as well. We talked about it in chat and tryed to hold a couple of days and we managed to see and sell orchids at 2 once, but now it's imposible they are all at around -70% all the time and (ofc you can't say to everyone do not sell flowers wait and hold) so we decided to not hold anymore. It's not a big deal for most of us because we have a decent farm but i can see the problem for solo players or players that don't have alot of time and wants to grind something. Enivoke Posted October 15 Report Posted October 15 This is outrageous, and not sure if it didn't generate because of the custom monuments but the most I've seen it go down at at 50% (2 scrap) for the orchids and never lower, I invited a friend of mine to play and taught them how to get a farm last wipe(and managed to sell them at 4-5) when this wipe came along and they made the farm with my help on the electricity part, they can barely make any networth due to the prices on flowers and other things currently. 1
Theodore Baggins Posted Thursday at 01:39 AM Report Posted Thursday at 01:39 AM One of the difficulties is that the modded servers are on a 4 hour dynamic pricing cycle. In theory, this would help—the price can only change +/-5% after 4 hours. In practice, this means that you actually get a very dampened response in the positive, because the likelihood of players not selling within a 4 hour period is, well... there is no likelihood of that. If you had unlimited scrap, you could actually combat this quite effectively by setting up your own store to buy up flowers at, say, 1.5 scrap each, sit on that horde yourself and wait for the flowers to flip over to 2 scrap. Although it wouldn't be the full 2 scrap, your stable shop prices would get them more scrap than if they used barn, and you'd benefit by being able to sell off your own supply at the increased value before it tanked again. It's worth noting that, at least on Elysium, there were some bugs with some of the vendors with stock and pricing upon restart and/or reloading certain plugins. Have you seen the situation improve on AU Scourge in the past week?

Have you seen the situation improve on AU Scourge in the past week? the 4 hours you are talking about will be in game hours not Real Life Hours Understanding Core Mechanics Understanding the system’s core mechanics is essential to determine how to take advantage of it. At its heart, the Dynamic Vendoring Pricing System averages purchasing trends to decide how to price items on the following “tick.” The absolutely easiest way to explain such a system is to just put it all out in the open for clarity: The system operates on ‘ticks,’ or interval hours, set to 1 by default. This is in-game time hours, not real-world hours. 24 ticks should occur in a day. Unless otherwise changed, the Dynamic Vendor Pricing System will engage every hour, and the pricing of all NPC-owned vending machines will recalculate and post anew. Items historically in high demand (most bought by players) will increase in price by 10%, while those underperforming as an average could go down 5%. The cap for price increase is set to 200% by default. The cap price for a decrease, or discount, is set to 50% by default. The minimum price possible for any item is 1 Scrap. Sorry, pickle lovers.

Wipe is now nearly over but the main issue was the inability to build net worth given selling flowers to the barn were only able to be sold for 1 scrap for the first 3 weeks of wipe. The mechanics of dynamic pricing is a good addition but when you have got 50+ players on a server and this wipe only having ranch and no barn the demand made it impossible to play the market and maximise profit. Hoping that for next wipe we have 2 flower shops to reduce the log jam of flower farmers trying to sell.

Yet with the flowers you are still making more scrap per same size farm then you would have doing Hemp farming even at 1 scrap, If more players through about others and used smaller farms the issue wouldn't happen, Even selling at 1 scrap with flowers you would have been making more scrap allowing you to make more Networth then if you only had hemp still
