sadcat Posted Tuesday at 04:51 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:51 AM And I can make amends with people and say sorry to them, Pay back for the helicopters and stuff. But there's no need to lie saying I'm "raiding"
Staff MooRoo Posted Tuesday at 07:39 PM Author Staff Report Posted Tuesday at 07:39 PM Hello sadcat. Thank you for your appeal. For clarity, entering another player’s base without permission and removing items from it constitutes raiding under this server’s rules. If you disagree with that definition, the same conduct still qualifies as looting, which is also a breach of Rule 1: No raiding, griefing, or looting of any kind. This rule is clearly stated in the server description and is posted regularly in game by admins. Lack of awareness is not an acceptable excuse in this case. You have raised concerns regarding the number of warnings issued. Given the nature of your violations, the decision to proceed with a ban after one formal warning was considered necessary at the time. You were clearly informed by me that your actions violated server rules and you were instructed not to touch other players’ belongings again, especially helis, or it could result in a ban. You then continued to break the rules (within a day of being warned) as I was on my way to give you your final warning. Our rules exist to maintain a fair and enjoyable PVE environment for all players. That includes the players you were targeting while you benefitted from the protections provided by our PVE server settings and rules. Your appeal does not appropriately address your conduct. Before it can be evaluated further, please provide a complete and accurate list of all the things you took that did not belong to you. For each item, include: The item/vehicle taken. Where it was taken from. What happened to it/where it is now. The list you provide will be cross-checked against our information. Accuracy and completeness are required. Omissions or misrepresentation will be considered in the decision. You should also include any additional information you believe is relevant. 1
sadcat Posted Tuesday at 10:52 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:52 PM Well I took about 5 helis 3 were from ice and his neighbour, One was from the desert near bandit camp and the other was near launchsite. The only other thing i may have took is lowgrade and some materials. But i can't really remember because it was late at night and stuff and I hadn't had sleep in a while. I understand what a PVE server is and Why people obviously don't want their stuff to be taken (Just like i wouldn't) and if you do perhaps unban me I could be able to give back what I took. Also I do believe I took quite a bit but I cant really remember what I took.
Staff MooRoo Posted 12 hours ago Author Staff Report Posted 12 hours ago Thank you for providing additional information and acknowledging the behaviour that led to your ban. Based on your response and our records, the scope of your actions is broader than what you listed. In addition to the five helis you admitted to taking, there were also the heli you returned to your neighbour’s roof and the heli you attempted to take from another player at Oil Rig. Returning an item, or failing to complete a theft, does not negate the act of stealing. In total, this adds up to seven helis over the course of only a few days. It is also understandable that you were unable to recall every individual item taken from players. Logs show that you accessed a large number of entities that did not belong to you, including sleeping players, boxes, refineries, furnaces, vehicle fuel tanks, etc. This pattern of behavior is unacceptable on this server. Your conduct, including repeated theft, unauthorised base access, and interactions with other players, is not compatible with our PVE ruleset. Raiding, looting, and stealing are not tolerated. Your attitude toward other players needs improvement, both in actions and in chat. That being said, you will get another chance. Just one. Your ban will be lifted in 40 hours but will remain on your record. There will be no further warnings. Any future rule violations will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Take time now to reflect on better ways to add to our community rather than taking from it. Refresh yourself on the rules to avoid any chance of breaking them. If you are unclear on any of them, or aren't sure what is permitted, reach out to the staff and we'll clarify them for you. Just to be crystal clear for you, specific notes have been added under some of our rules below, relating to some of your behaviour in our server. 1. No raiding, griefing or looting of any kind. Do not take anything that does not belong to you, under any circumstances. "Borrowing" without permission is also considered stealing. Do not enter another player's base without permission. Do not access or inspect boxes, deployables, fuel tanks, or any entities that do not belong to you unless you have permission. Do not take any action that could cause damage to another player's base, directly or indirectly. This is a PVE server. Player and base damage of any kind is prohibited. 2. No mic or chat spam, player disrespect, politics, racism or harassment. You cannot call players derogatory offensive names just because they are upset that you stole from them. FacePunch ToS and RustEZ both have rules that can result in a ban for some types of chat content. Do not threaten damage to players or their bases. 3. No camping loot rooms, monuments or any highly concentrated areas. 4. You may build in caves but you must ensure safe passage for other players. 5. No blocking water ways, building around monuments or large areas of unused land. You are expected to fully comply with these rules going forward. Failure to do so will result in removal without further discussion. Welcome back and don't hesitate to reach out to myself or any of the admin team upon your return.
