The player joined the server, started griefing by placing notes on bodies using abusive words.
Then moved to his next victim and stole his stuff then placed a note thanking him for the stuff. 
Which is counted as stealing and griefing at the same time, which proves, this is not a rookie mistake.
Obviously this player is not here to stick by the rules.
The ban was issued upon that.
