ST4RF4LL Posted yesterday at 09:48 AM Report Posted yesterday at 09:48 AM Dear Rust EZ Admin Team, I am writing to appeal my ban for griefing and to explain the situation from my perspective. I was away for four days, and when I returned, I discovered that I had been kicked from the clan and removed from all clan communications without any explanation. Since I had no idea what had happened, I told the clan that they should remove my TC access. However, I had also helped build and paid for bases that I still had access to. My understanding, based on what the admins had previously told me, was that if someone gave another player authorisation, that player was allowed to grief, and the admins would not be able to intervene in those situations. I acknowledge that I changed a door code and griefed parts of the base, but I did so based on my understanding of the rules and the situation at the time. I was confused about why I had been removed from the clan without explanation, especially considering the time and resources I had invested in building and paying for the bases. I am not trying to avoid responsibility or disrespect the admins. I am asking for my situation to be reviewed fairly, taking into account the previous guidance I received about authorisation, the fact that I had been removed from the clan without explanation, and my contributions to the bases. If I misunderstood the rules or crossed a line, I am willing to learn from this and follow the rules more carefully in the future. I would appreciate a second chance and the opportunity to return to Rust EZ. Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. I hope you will consider reviewing the circumstances before making a final decision. Kind regards, Star
KrovakNZ Posted 5 hours ago Staff Author Staff Report Posted 5 hours ago Hello ST4RF4LL Thank you for taking the time to appeal your recent ban. 'My understanding, based on what the admins had previously told me, was that if someone gave another player authorisation, that player was allowed to grief' No Admin on any RustEZ server will ever give someone such advice. We follow a list of guidelines which were written by the leadership of this community. 'I acknowledge that I changed a door code and griefed parts of the base, but I did so based on my understanding of the rules and the situation at the time.' You requested to be removed from TC privilege, the situation here is you are no longer a part owner of this base. Touching anything on this base is instantly classified as raiding. Changing code locks is instantly classified as griefing. Your understanding of the rules is flawed. 'I was confused about why I had been removed from the clan without explanation, especially considering the time and resources I had invested in building and paying for the bases.' Communicating with your old clan would 100% be the first thing anyone should do in any situation where they have been removed, for any reason. I can see no communication from yourself on the logs after the only '4 day break' you have recently taken. I see no 'why did I get removed?' or 'can I have a kit to restart?'. 'I am not trying to avoid responsibility or disrespect the admins.' I gave you plenty of opportunity to explain yourself, hand over the codes to the base owner, I even gave you the chance to log off before pushing the ban through to avoid the server seeing you got banned. During this interaction you tried to deceive me multiple times, laughed at me and lied. 'I am asking for my situation to be reviewed fairly, taking into account the previous guidance I received about authorisation, the fact that I had been removed from the clan without explanation, and my contributions to the bases.' Your situation has been reviewed by not only myself but also the rest of the admin team on AU Pure. Whether it was while they were online or via our own communications outside of Rust. Protecting our community will always be our number one priority. Allowing players to run around griefing each other will never be given a pass. Your unban request is denied. We hope you find another community to continue enjoying Rust and all it has to offer. All the best finding a server better suited to your playstyle.
