What do people think about the ability to buy server events, like the ones found on the online store, for networth? E.g. mass gift, pookie raid, air raid etc. That way people can support their community and spend some of that networth that just gets endlessly amassed. Now I understand that this may seem like it would reduce server income but a lot of people are basically just buying networth from the store anyway. If you buy a level 10 pumpjack, you're basically buying networth for cash, it's not like your flying around so much you need 170k low grade a day. It could be worth a trial just to see if it increases server enjoyment without affecting the server income (and I do understand the importance of that, that's why I subscribe). The cost could be high enough to limit the amount of server events that people would/could buy. There could also be a cap on events per day. Just a thought bubble, or perhaps a brain-fart, to be determined..

It may be that I don't fully understand the rust building system. This is mainly from PvP which I really don't play, the majority of my hours played have been PvE (and RustEZ at that. I love these servers ). I have observed 3 colours when using a building plan. Blue - can place said structure. Occurs if you have building privilege OR there is no TC and no building privilege required. Red - Can't place structure. Either building blocked because too close to a monument or can't build because don't have privilege or terrain issues or it just doesn't fit (you get a message telling you the reason). Orange - Don't have building privilege in someone else's TC range but can place twig floors (not foundations) on the external walls. Eg. Someone has a half wall inside their base, you can place a twig square or triangle floor off their base at half height. This is the twigging I refer to. This is used in PvP extensively inside people's building privilege when they have a TC, mainly for raiding or stealing hence not cool for our PvE servers. Maybe there is already a thing on RustEZ that prevents it on modded servers. I've never tried on RustEZ because I'm a bit of a goody goody and don't like to break rules. Not a rebel. I guess if it only happens on Pure and you can't mod Pure then I apologise for the wasted time reading this entire thread

I agree we need more stuff to spend net worth on. Once u have 50k there really isnt any reason to get anymore. It should be small things like permanent 1% increase to projectile protection for 1 million net worth. The only thing I would be concerned about tho is that even small boosts like this would still be too op since pve and no raiding is already insanely easy.

This dramatically improved my gaming. I think the Windows changes had the biggest impact. Rust hasn't crashed once since I made the changes recommended in the video, and it used to crash a few times per day. Performance is also up. Thanks for posting this.

Since Pure is like vanilla Rust, players can twig onto bases even if a TC is down and locked. I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any bans come through involving twigged bases that was from another server other than the Pure ones. Pure used to have a plugin that prevented this, but we cannot anymore due to our status on the community tab. On the modded servers, this wouldn't be an issue so I wouldn't be surprised if that is already implemented.

Then how do players build their first base on day 1? You need to place at least 1 twig foundation before you can place a TC, although I, as many do, build a rough outline in twig before placing down a TC. The absolute simple solution to this is placing a TC in your base. No one can twig onto your base if you have a TC inside. I believe that most of the recent bans for twigging onto bases have occurred on Pure servers. I bet balls to bones that none of the bases that were raided had a TC down. Stupid stupid stupid.

I've noticed in the Ban appeals section that a lot of it includes people twigging into bases. Could the ability to build twig without privilege be removed? There shouldn't be a need for it on these PvE servers, either you have privilege and can build or you don't and you're griefing. I understand it's place in PvP but not so much PvE. I imagine that's going to be an issue on Pure, where remaining on community tab would likely preclude modifications. On other servers though it could be an option?

Raiding, harassment or theft of any kind is not allowed on this server. Your and your team mates user profiles were found on the empty boxes in another players base. A small furnace had been placed to stop the player re-entering their own base. You were then seen together returning to base in an attack helicopter by admin, right after another user called you out in chat for stealing an attack helicopter. When an F7 report was raised against you, you changed your name and reconnected. This is not for stealing a boat. That being said, you will get a second chance. Just one. The ban will be lifted once 30 days have passed, but it will remain on your record. There will be no additional chances as this post should encourage you to change how you behave in our servers and to abide by the rules. Take a few minutes before rejoining, and refresh yourself on the rules to avoid any chance of breaking them. Offender: Ilya52rus Battle Metrics Steam Profile Server: US Pure Time: 04/15/2024 6:23 PM Eastern Length: Permanent Reason: Raiding/Griefing More Info (Optional): In just under 4 hours of gameplay on our server this player has raided, stole and griefed from an exuberant amount of bases and players. Player twigged onto 7+ bases to gain access in order to raid from those bases. In the very short time on our server they have negatively impacted the gameplay for many players on our server; Some of which were very distraught almost to the point of leaving or community. Luckily much of what Ilya52rus stole was able to be returned to the players who reported items missing and bases altered. Ilya52rus has shown no regard or respect for the players on our server or the progression lost due to their choice of gameplay. Due to the severity and toxicity of this players gameplay I opted to remove him from our marvelous rule abiding community and placed a permanent ban from our servers. The sheer amount of deployables and bases raided is nothing short of astronomical. I opted to only include some pics. More available upon request.
