I was wondering, if the spawn points are known (at least generally), there could be a sign put up that welcomes and alerts new players to the presence of the goodwill centres near the (insert closest monument/identifying vendor), or perhaps to the location where folks have begun to set up a 'town-like' centre as has been the case this month

Ditto what Crio said too, I have had so much fun with some of these changes, especially the opportunity to build the art gallery.  Whilst I apologise for spamming chat a little bit asking for contributions of late (:P), it is almost full of others work now and it's fab. Thank you so much for the sign mod   And the removal tool is heavenly!

I personally love that "fresh-with-nothing-but-a-rock-and-a-torch" feel

I am still too new or too scatty to understand how often facepunch tend to do the hard wipes, but I am gathering it is fairly frequently of late.  Whilst I find 3 months too long a stretch for me, if the hard wipes are less than that, all good with me.

See you on the beach with my rock too.

Perhaps a few "starter" type quests as @Skivies mentioned the other day on discord, simple ones like "I got stoned and I missed it" for stone collection etc.

The Radical Radiation Run - Players start at one point (completely nude) with an Admin (or other official) and the first one to the other Admin wins, but the route is through the launch site.

Seeing campfires come on at dusk is a pretty cool way to impart the "yes folks live here" feel, and the warm glow is lovely.

Chances of having this on survival please?

I can't even begin to imagine the stress before this wipe and the same stress multiplied by factor 100 when things broke.

Don't worry, we got this! Like busy little rusties we will start filling up our inventories and build up our communities, just like we do best.

Never lose sight of how much we appreciate what goes on in the background, which is probably only the half of it.

And again for those of us geographically challenged and hence totally in the dark (see what I did there?  ) during the wipe, is the save point at 12 pm EST (US) or 3pm EST (US).

With regard to the fun, frivolity and dare I say, shenanigans, that will ensue pre-wipe, (and I speak of pure and survival servers here), is raiding allowed as per standard pvp in that others can force their way into bases, or must they not attempt entry on any locked base?  Also, decay will not affect stone and above correct?   As we have quite a few new players on pure especially, I thought clarification might be good, that and  I just want to be sure the frilly knickers I have all packed up will make their way to the other side
