More info: Crispy was notified by a player that an admin was needed on Pure because someone was raiding, looting, and generally being toxic in chat. I admit that I wasn't really involved, but I asked the player what they did and they admitted to everything and said they didn't really care because they came to the server to bother others. They entered someone's home and began taking things but returned them upon request. They then came back to the same person's house and continued to take things. Then they shot out the person's foundations (they had no TC) and started being toxic in chat, using some off-color vocabulary.

More Info: This person has been a problem for a while now. He has been seen and continued to be seen on loot logs even after being warned for it. We've also caught him twigging on a few different occasions. Today he broke into a player's shop and stole several things from them. He did return them on request, but he was already on his final warning. There didn't seem to be an ounce of regret or apology when he was confronted. He even said that the player should've protected her base better.

Intro & General Information
Welcome ladies, gents, both, and neither! Today I am here to announce that I am hosting an event like none we’ve had before. I want to keep a lot of the details a secret for the actual event, but here’s some basic information. The event will be held on Survival PVE but I wholeheartedly would like everyone from Pure to also participate!! EVERYONE IS WELCOME. I just figured Survival has some quality of life mods for building that would be v useful. It’s a building event, so put your cute little builder’s hats on and come chill my dude.

All materials and tools will be provided.

Those who don’t want to participate in the building may watch from towers within the build areas or from a stream that our very own ScootFuck will be broadcasting (and recording).

I'll allow people to work in pairs or as a single. I don't think there would be enough groups wanting to join to make it viable to have a contest for both and I think it's a little unfair to put a group of 5 or so against a single person.

Come one, come all to this once-in-a-lifetime chance to show off your chops!! I'm hosting a building contest for the entirety of the RustEZ community, so please feel free to enter whether you are a RustEZ veteran with several wipes under your belt or you just joined yesterday.

Entry Deadline: January 26th, 2018
Result Date: January 31st, 2018

The five days between the deadline and the result date are there in order to allow people to go explore the entries in person so they can make a conscious choice when voting.

RULES
One entry per server up to two servers.

All signage and structures must abide by server guidelines.

Admins may enter if using legitimately obtained materials.

Edit: You may enter buildings you've already built!

Edit 2: You may work as an individual or as a pair.

Any entries which break these rules will be disqualified.

INSTRUCTIONS
Theme: Any building for public use. EG: Restaurant, insane asylum, concert hall, etc. etc.

Entries must have a vending machine marking their location on the map as well as some kind of sign on or in front of the structure labeling it.

Legally placed traps inside entries must be emptied and/or set to peaceful for judging purposes.

Refrain from placing barricades and spike traps in places people are meant to walk in.

You must make a post in response to this announcement with the following information:

• Your username
• Server on which the entry is built
• Grid location on map
• 2-3 screenshots of your structure

NOTES
Regardless of skill or confidence level, please feel free to participate!

Remember that bigger is not always better!

Also, I'd like to allow players inside entries so they can explore them for themselves, so please lock your boxes and tool cupboards to protect your things while letting people marvel at your wonderful creation.

Hey Jordan! Maybe you've already had your questions answered elsewhere, but I thought I'd chime in here since Scoot didn't respond to your questions here and it could be helpful to others wondering the same thing.

1. Heli will fire napalm at those fighting in a building or area tower they don't have authorization in.
2. You can tell when the heli is about to fire rockets because it will fly away from the tower/attacker and then turn around quickly back toward the tower/attacker. It will fly over the tower to the opposite side where you have a window of opportunity to shoot at it without taking damage. It only uses napalm when someone is not authorized on the tc. There's no notable difference in its behavior regarding your location and its behavior doesn't change depending on damage taken other than determining who has aggro. Person doing most damage = biggest threat = most aggro.
3. Pure PVE is a vanilla server. The heli should behave no differently there than in any other vanilla server. I believe even the heli on Survival PVE behaves the same way as vanilla servers, but I'm not 100% sure.
4. Your base will take damage from heli, but as long as you build it properly, you shouldn't have to worry about collapsing or anything. Material strength for tower goes in this order: Armored > Sheet Metal > Stone. You definitely shouldn't use twig or wood for a heli tower. Personally, I've always believed the best option is stone because it's the cheapest, making build and repair cheap. Armored is still incredibly expensive and would be difficult to build your base entirely out of it and I believe the metal frags you'd put toward sheet metal could better be spent on syringes and ammo. Stone will require more repairs, but again, it's a pretty cheap material to use and takes at least a few rocket blasts before being destroyed.
5.  I always use the same 5x5 base design but I currently have no pictures of it. I can describe it, though and add pics later. So the bottom floor of the 5x5 is always where I put resources, beds, food, etc. etc. Its design isn't particularly important except to maybe try to save space. All my fight floors have the outer block free and open as a pathway with the inner 3x3 enclosed with walls and doors. I put the stairs on the inner 3x3 in the corners and doors in the mid-sections of the 3x3. The center remains empty. The 3x3 is covered so that neither the interior of your tower or the other side can be reached from the opposite side of the tower. All the walls on the fight floors are window walls. The corners and middle wall of the exterior are filled with glass windows and the others are left empty. I find embrasures just make it harder to actually aim for the heli and the windows being placed that way keep rockets from getting through to the other side of the tower. You will have to repair the windows occassionally, but they don't cost much to repair and they allow you to see the heli and also duck behind them if you need to heal.

More Info: Warned this guy about going into people's bases and told him it was against the rules as he climbed into someone's house and then he ran off and climbed into someone else's house. I watched him loot the base and appeared in front of him and told him to put the stuff he took back. He killed himself and logged. His two other friends logged on after and tried to go after the same base, but I had secured it after the first guy came through. They began asking for guns and complaining. I kicked the two friends, but didn't ban them, though they also were going into people's houses illegally. The two people are ..  and 荒 {MikeyBoy} 明.
