  1. Let's calm down a bit ladies, i'm sure a couple of things did get mixed up between everything, mistakes can happen and nobody and nothing is perfect. Shit happens. The way i see it is that the main point of this whole thing is that even though people aren't doing anything wrong or against the rules, there seems to be a lot of warnings or forcing people to do things because of multiple reasons like, other people not being able to run the game properly, or unoptimized PCs/Game, maybe even to benefit others, and i get that, everyone should have the same experience as others. But taking away from one , or multiple players because others can't enjoy the game due to their own personally issues with their own personal PCs, isn't exactly fair. It's like asking a person without cancer to go to chemotherapy just because someone else has cancer.... doesn't make sense, right? ... Also somehow my wiring "magically" disappeared in the city this weekend while I was gone, and i'm sure it's not a bug, nor anyone had access to my TC and I wasn't in a team, so that's pretty messed up since it took me a lot of hours to hook it up. 

    But, the bigger issue is that it seems a lot of other players have been having a lot of issues with other admins because of different reasons like not really following the rules themselves when it comes to some people, which i'm not gonna get into because that's their problem. I don't have anything against anyone personally. It's y'alls server and you can run it however you want to, but i can tell you that most people will be leaving sooner or later if this keeps happening.

    The only reason I don't agree with the chainsaw/jackhammer is purely based on the availability of wood/stone. If you have a good setup with the public pumpjacks and player purchased level 10 pumpjacks on the modded servers (Scourge and Survival) you can fuel chainsaws for years in just one good day, and in my opinion it's opening up a world of useless/unnecessary/stupidly large builds because what else can you do with an excess of wood apart from sell it for pennies? if the goal is to sell wood to the /shop for networth, chopping wood is pointless. If you don't mind the grind then fuck yeah, go for it. And if you need the wood to build and upgrade, then it shouldn't take too much time with an axe, or even a no% chainsaw and you'll still do it quick enough, rather than having all of it done within the first few hours of wipe with nothing else to do.

    As it stands there's either chop wood by hand for the bonus, which is good if you've leveled it or are needing to level it, or trade stone for wood via outpost, which is easy enough if you put LGF in the stone quarry or are hitting rocks to upgrade/craft.

    Sure, you can sell stone and wood in the /shop, but for an almost stupidly low amount because it's already so easy to get.

    In regards to the jackhammer, it's opening up the chance for people to upgrade from twig shithouses, yeah, but it's also going to make farming sulf/metal/hqm faster and easier, giving players the ability to sell the more expensive items to the /shop, giving birth to wipes of players that now have millions upon millions of networth with not really much to spend it on apart from brad/heli sigs, and a good run of the /shop. And as someone who regularly abused heli signals, there's only so many you can do a day before you need something else to do. So pets, or something else to blow a wipe worth of networth on seems great.

    Again this is all my opinion, I've never seen the need to hit level 100 in anything purely based on laziness and the fact all of my mats were easy enough to get through mindless farming with a good K-drama episode on, and I had large builds (not built by me) I farmed for that were completed in days with nothing else to build. I had boxes of wood and stone either sold every week or given away, so it's based on my experiences on the AU servers I played and by mid wipe I just kept fueling the public quarries on Scourge, or my time on Survival the personal deployable quarries.

    New fun stuff for the modded servers sounds great, given the servers can handle it; it would stop people getting burnt out and bored in a few weeks.

    Yeah I get what you're trying to say. The way I see it is that people get bored fast because of 2 things. 

    1. Lack of plug-ins/mods, even small ones, that changes the game enough and allows people to do different things that what's being done on vanilla servers. 

    2. Lack of roleplay. Even though some of the people I play with do roleplay for a bit, most people just start a base, farm for BPs, get pumpjacks and sell LGF for networth, and only log on to do that and nothing else after 2 weeks of playing. We need more custom things to do, not just the same monuments and grinding I can easily do on 90% of the servers. 

    I was able to finally do something big this wipe since I last wipe I just grinded for networth, and a lot of people seemed to be enjoying coming and seeing my city, so I've been pushing out a little bit of roleplay. We also need more decorations to be added because re-using the same things over and over again kind of gets a little bit boring. 

  3. I agree, massive lack of roleplay and custom monuments, especially monuments being taken away like Cobalt Vaults, that people were actually enjoying. We need more mods that changes the gameplay in some way, even if they're smaller mods or plug-ins, in the long run it'll be worth it. I get that Death is doing a lot of things by himself which can get tiring with all the bug fixes and stuff like that, but hopefully more people can help with the server stuff. Right now it just feels like a x2 vanilla server in a way.

    Anyone can't access it. Only your team mates. If you suspect your team mates to steal from you when the opportunity comes I can't imagine why you'd want them to be in your team.

     

    Benefits of this change:

    1) Allowing team members to access containers inside the base without having to give them TC so you can effectivly prevent them from being able to upgrade, remove, etc.

    2) Allow team mates to access entities deployed away from base, such as campfires, workbenches, repair tables, research tables, etc without having to drop a TC or share the container allowing anyone to access.

    3) For bases with outside deployables like PJs, team members can have access without having to run around and authorize on all the TCs surrounding them.

    I can see how this would benefit people that only play with people they've played with for a long time, but it doesn't benefit those who are willing to play together with people they've just met or that have known for a while but haven't played together with. It seems to me like the benefits of this change is only to make it easier for others to access stuff, but easier doesn't always mean it's better in the end. 

    Another way i can see it working is going back to how it was before, but change it to when someone is clicking "Share" on something, instead of having it shared to everyone, it's only shared with those in the team. That way you have the extra layer of protection i've mentioned earlier, and at the same time only people in your team will be able to access your loot without having TC access. And at the same time it gives each individual person in the team the option to whether they want the other team members to access their loot or not. Hope this helps.

Like I've said on discord, there's people that me and a couple of friends like playing with on the same team, as well as finding other players to join our team to play together, but that doesn't mean we want them to have access to our loot automatically just by joining the team, whether we trust them or not, anything can happen at any moment. They have their own loot to begin with, they dont need access to other people's loot just by being in the team. The reason why this change was not necessary is because if you wanted other players to have access to your loot you had the option to give them your code, which was an extra security step. And the fact that people spend real money to buy pumpjacks and leave it on overnight to get LGF, and at any point anyone can access it. That was also easily accessible just by giving someone TC access. So there were 2 security measures taken away with this change. I hope you consider this @Death

  6. No one that i've talked to so far has liked the changes to the team, where we're not able to look each other stuff if we're in a team together. We like playing with each other in the same time, but we don't want other people to loot our stuff, especially pumpjacks, refineries and furnaces unless they're given permission (code) to. If there is a possibility please consider reversing the changes to this since it benefits the whole PvE thing as well as not having people being griefed and admins being annoyed because people are being griefed. Thank you.

    As for the changes, I just don't see that falling under the direction we're going. A lot of reactive solutions to a problem we're trying to be proactive with. We appreciate the feedback nonetheless. ❤️

    I get what you're trying to say but as of right now there definitely needs for other things to be added because people only play on the server for half the wipe then they give up until wipe happens again because they've already done everything. Even if it's not the mods/plugins that i've mentioned, i feel like this server needs some mods/plugins to be added that should make it way more different than other PvE servers.

    For example, an area where people can build their own custom raidable bases, quests, easter bunny egg mod, defendable bases (zombies), Police mod (roleplay), SalesBots (where u can create NPCs to sell different things, this would be amazing for roleplay), Boss Monster, Junkyard Events, Power Plant Events, Satellite Dish Events, Water Events, Harbor Events, Air Events (all of those mods would add extra things for people to do that keeps them playing) and i'm sure there's hundreds of other mods that are just as good as these.

  9. I love the server a lot and definitely looking forward to next wipe , lots of great people to talk to and play with and there's some things that would be fun to see in game as well as some things being removed, especially when it comes to lagging the server. 

    MODS 

    1. Grid Power Mod by Nikedemos - This would remove the need to build Wind Turbines which lag the server. (https://codefling.com/plugins/grid-power)

    2. Water Bases Mod by Nikedemos - Would be fun to see bases being built on water for those who want to, and could also lower the number of bases being built on land which means less lag when flying around in helis. (https://codefling.com/plugins/water-bases)

    3. Convoy Mod by Adem - This would add convoys with locked crates being escorted by NPCs, which would give the players a little more something to do than just doing monuments and helis. (https://codefling.com/plugins/convoy)

    4. Jetpack Mod by Adem - Definitely a good and fun way to get around the map as well as lots of funny moments can happen. (https://codefling.com/plugins/jetpack)

    5. Biplane Mod by Adem - This already sounds like a recipe for disaster but man would it be fun to fly around in planes and maybe.... crash every now and then xD (https://codefling.com/plugins/biplane)

    CHANGES

    1. Removing the Wind Turbines because they create a lot of lag.

    2. Being able to find high powered generators from difficult monuments.

    3. Removing the Vending Machines because it creates a lot of lag when opening the map, and they're kind of useless when having the trading system implemented, which just by having the P2P trading, it can increase player co-operation as well as help newbies become friends or co-operate with others. Within couple of weeks before wipe there's already a lot of vending machines that no one really uses. They should only be at outposts. 

    4. Automatically removing players and bases that haven't played in at least a week unless specified in the discord server that they're on a break. 

    5. Being able to get building resources back if it's destroyed with a salvaged hammer.

    6. Twig bases being removed within a week of it being to lower the lag on the server.

    These are just some of the things i can think of from the top of my head that I believe it would make the server even better and more fun. Let me know what you all think. ❤️
