  1. Hey everyone! So I'm sorry to report that I won't be able to rebuild PigeonMart this wipe. I don't have the free time to relearn everything, gather materials, or maintain a shop that size. I'd like to thank everyone for their help,  especially Scoob454, my arms dealer Kapernacus and all of you for your patronage in previous wipes. 

    I'll do my best in getting some form of shop going over the next week but I will not be able to maintain the same selection and stock. Below I have included the price list from October for anyone who is interested in what I used to charge. I'm hoping some other shops will spring up and that maybe this will help.

  2. You could make a car dealership. Vending machines could be setup selling notes with door codes for 1000HQM or whatever price in a single resource. The door code would open an area with a car in it and you could take it where ever. Admins would then respawn and reset codes to restock the dealership. 

    An issue I can see with requiring a cost to a car is if someone steals one it's more of a big deal. Presumably it would be considered looting but might not be the easiest thing to enforce.

  3. The PigeonMart Lottery!

    The lottery is PigeonMart's new additional. Lottery tickets will be sold from now until October 14th. I'll use a computer randomized picker to select 4 lottery codes, and later that day at 9pm EST (1AM GMT) we will spin the last codes live on the server. The winner of the lottery will receive 100% of the pool including 100 scrap starter. The pool is vary in size and odds based on the number of tickets sold.

    For example: 

    • If 4 Tickets sold will have a chance of 1/4 to win with the pool being 900 scrap.
    • If 40 tickets are sold the the pool will be 8100 scrap with a 1 in 40 chance to win. 

    The winning code will be announced publicly and you will need to send me a private message with the confirmation code. 

     

    Bonds 
    Ever want to invest into PigeonMart but that silly Pigeon wouldn't take your mountains of cash? Well now you can invest with PigeonMart bonds! Just buy a bond at PigeonMart for either 200 scrap or 500 High Quality Metal. The bond will mature on October 20th, 2017 and you get your investment back plus an additional 25%!

    Announcing PigeonMart's latest development Pigeyzon. Starting October 7th between 7-9PM EST (11PM-1AM GMT) PigeonMart will be doing free delivery on orders over 50 HQM.  

  4. Suggestion: What if on Thursday, a couple hours before the wipe, you spawn a bunch of Bradleys for everyone and we roll around fighting each other and demoing bases?

    I've got a ton of good reasons why we should: 

    1) It would give us something to do before the wipe.

    2) Reason number 2...  look what I can do

    3) Bradleys are awesome to drive.

    4) It'll give a back story to this month's wipe and that's very necessary for Role playing proposes... I mean... really why would PigeonMart move it's headquarters to a new island if it wasn't destroyed in a tank battle or whatever.

    5) We could destroy PigeonMart!

    6) TANK BATTLES!

    7) Bradleys are awesome to drive over stuff with. (not that same as reason 3)

    8) Come onnnnnn.

    9) Please!

    10) Bradleys are awesome to shoot stuff with.

    11) If we crash the server no biggie I'm sure you can turn it off and on again or something (i dunno)

  5. Hands down this is the best 4000 size map.

    Size: 4000
    Seed: 60

    So I spent a few hours looking through the maps around 4000 size and here's why I think that this is the best map. The mountain placement looks like it'll funnel nakeds into one spot both on the east and west coast. Those points also have flattish land great for community centers.

    Tons of Land - Since most of the radtowns are clustered in a line in the south it leaves tons of land just north and south of them. 

    Shallow Water Areas - There is plenty of shallow water areas great for building. 

    Great Roads - Road network is relatively connected. 

    Cool stuff- Cool Cave in a lake on an island. Big Mountain but smallish foot print. There are a couple icebergs nearby, granted not as good as our current map with that massive one right there. 

    All the radtowns! - I checked it's got every Radtown. 

    • Train Yard
    • 2x Harbors (Large and Small)
    • Satellite Dish
    • Power Plant
    • Water treatment
    • Launch site
    • Dome
    • Military Tunnels
    • Airfield. 
    • 3x Mining Outposts.
    • 3x Gas Stations
    • 3x Sperm Kets
    • 2x Lighthouses
    • At least 17 Caves
    • Tons of Transformers... more than meets the eye. (sorry...)

    I know it's not perfect, there are some problems like an island in the grasslands, which means some fresh spawns will have swim a little bit. And the launchsite is a bit in the arctic biome, but overall it's a great map.

I'm reserving judgement for when I see what the next branch looks like but if the new BP system is anything like the old BP system it's all about luck, someone will find the AK BP within 10 minutes of looting and trade them away. Betsy shouldn't be a problem after the first few hours. I'm sure a clan full of Bambis could suit up quite quickly, it's the solo players who will be inconvenienced. It's just super annoying.

    However, once I get my hands on a BP I'll sell them I'll sell them by the hundred if necessary. Day Two PigeonMart is going to be "All the Blueprints-Mart"

  7. I agree with @Intriguer if the server can handle it a bigger map would be better for next wipe.

    There are other things we could do to mitigate clutter and keep land available. I have a massive structure footprint myself and probably could do some things to reduce that. 

    This Wipe.

    1. Mid Wipe Cleanup Event. - I notice that a lot of people will start with a smaller base at the beginning of the wipe and then later move to a much larger construction. What we could do is encourage players to remove unused bases they may have built in an evening event perhaps with presents/drops. Admins could go around and remove twig structures and bases owned by people who were banned from the server. 

    2. Teaming Up with people you know. - Some of us have zero interest in griefing or stealing. I have three bases. A small one by the TrainYard, PigeonMart and Componentland. I know some of you are in the same position as me maybe we don't need so maybe bases and/or some of us could share suiport locations. 

    3. Suiport Hotel / Bases - We could construct communal buildings near monuments and offer beds / lockers to anyone. Reducing the need for small suiport bases. A bed, door with lock, and /share on the locker would also eliminate the ability for a player to grief as only one person would need to have tc access. 

    Next Wipe.

    4. Restrict the length of Pipelines. - I personally really like the aesthetic of massive pipelines running across the map but they do take up a ton of room that could otherwise go to new players. 

    5. Building in remote locations. - Nakeds only spawn in the beaches in the grasslands. If veteran players avoid these areas and keep megabuilds to the far north and far south the map should have more room for new players. Perhaps we could make it part of our etiquette as a community for veteran players not to build structures near these areas save for community center/hotel/freeboxes/shops and keep our main bases out of the east and west parts of the grasslands.

    6. Ban building on roads. - I have noticed in the previous months people generally respected the road and didn't build directly on it, this month however that's not so much the case. With the introduction of cars maybe we should have a rule banning building on roads. With tons of structures on the road the map can feel very cluttered. 

    7. Bigger Map / Scouting/voting on a map. - So the current map is a pretty decent size but it seems this has been a fairly active month. If possible we should pick a larger map. We could also scout for next month's map. Playrust.io has a great map generator you just input the size and the seed and it outputs a map. What are your thoughts on scouting and voting on a map? I'm not sure how the map is currently picked.

  8. So Skivvies lent/gave me a clip andddddd I flipped it. I tried to flip it back but no dice. I tried shooting at it, f1 grens, rockets, HV rockets, jumping on it like a sea-saw, jumping under it. Turning the wheel BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT. Nothing seems to work. Finally I used C4 and the car disappeared. I think the cars have health we just can't see the bar.

    TLDR: I need a new car. Old one got flipped upside down 200 meters SW of PigeonMart. I destroyed it with explosives trying to flip it back. 

  9. Hey, so Solo Hunter was asking about resource costs/prices and I thought I would publish the values that I have been keeping.

    Please remember these values really only apply to the modded PvE Survival Server. I have a different set of numbers for vanilla as the lack of scrap from recyclers, gather rates, stack sizes all affect the demand of any particular resource. 

    Lastly, I reserve the right to change the price of any item at any time at PigeonMart and PigeonMart's subsidiary vending machine locations.

    The demand cycle shifts throughout the month. In the first week of the wipe players are looking for Gears, Metal Blades, Sheet Metal, Stone, Metal Frags, Hazmat Suits, and Tuna Cans. As the month progresses and players become established demand shifts to Gunpowder, Pipes, Rifle Bodies, Springs, Supply Signals, and Presents.
