  1. Hello, RustEz community.  I am one of the senior members of RustEz ... not only in time on RustEz, but I'm old in real life (51). I've enjoyed the RustEz community for many months now - back when there was only one server.  I started gaming on the vintage platforms - Atari, Nintendo and DOS games with floppy disks. I was introduced to online gaming back in 2013 by my son on World of Tanks. I also played This War of Mine - a simple post-war survival game. After several years of that, I made my way over to Rust. I enjoy the survival aspect of the game more than the PVP aspect, and was thrilled when I found RustEz. Death has done an amazing job growing and evolving the servers.  I spend most of my time on the servers killing myself, re-spawning and exploring. I've built (and destroyed) hundreds of bases while toying with different layouts and designs.  By nature (and age), I'm a quiet, reserved player with occasional outbursts of grumpiness - :).

In real life, I live in Huntsville, Alabama and work for the government as an aerospace engineer. I've been married for 26 years and we have a 17 year old son.

  2. Pigeon's ideas are great!!!  Just a couple more to add similar to the pipelines across the map:

    1.  Large walled areas:  While I can understand how making a "Trump Wall" is amusing to the creator ... I don't think it's amusing to anyone else. It makes a map smaller by creating a non-desirable area to live in (except for the one who created it).

    2.  Long constructed walk-ways:  I actually think these look great. Unfortunately, the consume real estate for new players to build.  Maybe these could be limited to zones where building isn't really an option (like up a Rocky Mountain side)

I want to thank Death for some things he added this month:  pipes, the painting add-in and the removal tool.  All three of these have added another dimension to creativity for Survival and has promoted a community atmosphere.

  3. For Mal's run:

    1)  I would suggest PVE Pure because it's harder to collect stuff (no multipliers) ... although I like the harder animals on Survival.

    2)  Start out at a southern corner in the desert at night. Running around without a torch ... while naked ... in the pitch black ... makes cacti dangerous!!!

    3)  Final clothing has to include one article of armor and a wolf headdress.

    4)  Finish line would be the opposite corner of the map ... in the snow.

  4. Wipes seem to bring a a renewed level of excitement to the game. In my opinion, more is better.  No need to carry over inventory, resources are plentiful and a player can have an AK within an hour of play.  Any thoughts on Survival of having the helicopter active from day 1?  It would be good to crank up the challenge on Survival.
