  1. The skin market has been on fire! I've been tracking the prices on stuff and it's been nice watching it climb.
  2. Thank you @Death It's challenging to find balance for some of the game features on PvE and I respect what you are trying to accomplish. The sudden explosion of Rust players caught a lot of people off guard, and created problems for staff and players alike. It put a big spotlight on issues that might have been slightly under the radar/lesser impact prior. I really appreciate the time taken to engage this issue and work on a plan to improve it going forward.
  3. @aNoNiMyou are completely missing the point. The "offenses" have little to no evidence beyond cobbled together out of context chat messages. So no, it's not cut and dry. It's manufactured and completely lacking reasonable evidence for 6 out of the 7 points made against him. It's also inconsistent enforcement of rules/targeted retaliation and there in lies the problem.
  4. @aNoNiMI respect you, but you are profoundly missing the point. This ban is nothing but a late stab at someone over a disagreement. Let me explain again, as both Pete and Dab have tried to do. The "offenses" listed are well over 30 days old and in some cases bordering on two months. They are cobbled together out of context chat messages for starters and completely zero evidence for the other things. I was personally involved in a great majority of the things, so my account is pretty accurate. Let's get started shall we? I'll just hit some high points because the horse is looking pretty beat. There was an issue with a player building in the same area of our team. Myself, Dicko, Pete and Dab all tried to peacefully/friendly engage the player and work out a solution. The player refused to even acknowledge us and started griefing our building. We tried to take it in stride and work something out, but it was impossible. The player blocked us with TCs/building spam. Admins (literally all of the Scourge admins) were called, acknowledged the griefing, but refused to remove the TCs. This went on for days and took multiple attempts to resolve. It was ruining our gameplay to the point we decided to move our entire building to an unoccupied area deep in the snow. We rebuilt and carried on with wipe. But hey, we are the bad guys right? Sure looks that way when you only get one side. I'd really like to see the evidence of that. The base we made after being bullied into moving was specifically built in the most remote area possible. We build big and used every section of the build because we had 4-7 players living in and out of the base at any given point. We also had a community fishing area that all were welcome to use. So what part of that was designed with the plan to create lag? Please explain, because not just Dicko built our base, the team did and we should share the punishment. The weeb comments were out of line, Dicko did go too far with some of them. I will not argue that point. What I will argue is there were 1-2 other players making far nastier more degrading remarks, that I know for a fact were reported, and they were not banned, or even warned to my knowledge. Chat was gross and toxic, admin attention was called to it numerous times, but it stayed gross. December was by far one of the most disgusting months I've ever seen in RustEZ game chat. It was a big reason that factored in to my deciding not to continue playing on the server the last bit of that wipe. When you spend days talking to staff who acknowledge a rule break, but do nothing about it, you get a little fed up. This happened several times in December. The big incident was the lake griefing issue. Smaller but more consistent incidents continued throughout the wipe. I personally brought up problems/called attention to many different things and either got no response, or "this happened too long ago for us to do anything", or "we'll take a look" with zero follow up. It broke my damn heart. When I was a RustEZ admin, I took pride in my work. Seeing what the server was turning into made me feel awful for the dedicated group of players who call it home. You apply to be green you take it seriously or don't be green. I said some of the very same things Dicko did because we were so frustrated with apparent lack of engagement from the admins. The cookie cutter reply is "report it" but it was being reported, it was having attention called to it, and it was being brushed. If an admin had truly spent any kind of time in chat the month of December the problems would have been seen before they festered into bigger issues. We called things out because we care. We encouraged players to call things out more and make their voices heard in a constructive manner. We wanted better for the players and the only way to get attention on the problems was to lay bare the not so pretty truth. The situation with admin Dicko reported was a turning point for me. The evidence against that admin was clear, solid and without a doubt impacted players and the economy. I was lumped together with Dicko and Pete in the "bad guy" ranks because I too stood by the evidence. The the excuse "my kid did it" should have never flown. An admin allowed access to his account and manipulation of said account in the form of spawning items. If, as is it is clearly stated "admins are held to a higher standard" why was that not the case here? Players have bans standing for lesser offenses. I questioned the integrity of all those involved and decided to take a step back to asses my feelings on those in the leadership role. Ultimately I was saddened by the ending of friendships over a disagreement of this nature. From my side it was never anything personal, I even decided to take the high road by continuing to enjoy the server and the players on it. I moved on and tried to leave it in the past, which brings me to my final point. In many of the issues I had brought up to admins I was told "too much time had passed/not enough evidence left to do anything." This ban proves that it does not matter how much time has passed and it does not matter how little evidence exists, they can and will still do something. This ban was a huge reach back to silence someone who had offended them. So I'm asking this of the admins for the players choosing to play on the RustEZ servers: When players do what you ask and "report it" you need to take ownership and "enforce it" uniformly and fairly across the board.
  5. I agree 100%. It's not fun getting whined at and being put in a corner when you are the one trying to follow the rules. It's frustrating when you are just trying to have fun, but end up being an info box when really proactive staff should be engaging the rules issues. So I know the obvious question/statement from the admins is going to be "Did you report it?"
  6. That's the nail right on the head. We are being told over and over to "report it" , but that's not the problem here. Players have been reporting it and the rulings have been inconsistent, open to interpretation, or so slow in coming the offense can't be "verified" and therefore is let slide. That's why I asked for specifically a clear definition of what is considered camping, because it's clear that players and staff have wildly different interpretations of camping.
  7. I'm going to level with you, and I'm not trying to sound rude, I don't see how this serves any purpose. It's creating a role that's not really needed. You can be helpful and contributing in chat/discord without any kind of special "role." Loads of folks do it, just because they enjoy helping. If rule breaking is observed the current procedures are fine, people just need to use them. It's easy to fill out a help request/ticket or post in discord. Players really need to be encouraged to do this. As someone who has been in a moderation role/admin role in several different types of online community, adding roles often creates more problems and confusion. The simple chain of staff - leadership - owner is much more palatable to end user. Helpers are great and every community benefits from them. When you start adding "powers" and layers you end up creating more problems than you solve. I would personally advise anyone who likes helping to keep doing so, people enjoy it and it's a great asset to the community. There are a lot of folks who would make wonderful admins around, but they just like helping out when they can, not a full staff responsibility. If someone is interested in moving beyond just casual helping, apply for admin.
  8. I think we should probably get the servers a little more stable before we started adding more custom stuff. In the meantime Pete is right, report the campers. That crap is against the rules.
  9. Yeah there has been a small group/solo player treating the garrisons like a personal farming event. It's to the point where no one else even gets to attempt it.
  10. Having the same problem on US Scourge. Can't recraft any of our M249's and L96's Can't recraft items from the store like coffins or test gens that we had not placed yet. So we are just dead in the water until wipe?
  11. If you struggle with decay, maybe survival is better option. It's easy to run a lap with an axe and pick and get mats for a entire wipe, especially with the teas that been added. Build what you can maintain.
  12. We are having the same issue on US Scourge. Detail: This door closer was just placed today. All door closers placed a few days ago seem fine. If it's picked up and replaces it stays in hover mode a foot or so away from the door. This appears to only be an issue with any door closer placed after the most recent update.
  13. Excellent! This will help loads in clearing up minor things. Most players are super good about it, but having a one stop information shop landing point on this will be awesome.
  14. There has been a lot of rowdy player debate (especially on US Scourge) about what is defined as camping. Being able to see the official definition in the FAQs would be very helpful for quick ref in situations where it might not have escalated to needing an admin. Sometimes it's just a discussion and being able to point directly to the FAQ would clear up all of the misinformation floating around.
  15. Zombies on the Scourge servers are not dropping Halloween event loot. Noticed players in chat mentioning not being able to find the event loot like tombstones, coffins, pitchforks etc on zombies after killing them. Did some testing with Pete and in 50+ kills did not find a single zombie with anything other than the standard loot. Seems like the regular loot table is overriding the event table. Samakeen confirmed AU Scourge was having the same issue. Unknown, but assumed to be a problem on EU also.
  16. In the announcements it was posted that "- SAMs no longer target players. Will target attack helicopters in the next update (Re-implemented)" The major concern that popped up is that this seems to have potential for abuse by players dropping banks of SAMs near the spawn in zones for the attack heli and laying a claim to loot from doing damage. If the personal loot system is back in action, then this is a much smaller issue. However, with the personal loot system offline and damage percentage output display not working properly (on US Scourge at least) this is opening a can of worms for player conflict. Thankfully most of the loot distribution is solved amicably on a player to player level, but sometimes it gets heated and a dispute occurs. SAMs requiring power and ammo is a slight deterrent, but the power needs are very easy to fulfill. Whipping up a bank of 6-8 is no sweat with a little solar and elbow grease. Even with the heli cruising at it's average speed, two sets of 3x3 SAM's could connect a fair bit. I know finding a use for SAMs on PvE is a challenge, but this might create more problems than it solves. What if the SAM's did no damage, but still shot rockets? That could serve as an early warning system just for fun.
  17. Oh I really like that! That would be pretty cool like an internal achievement system that awards credits.
  18. Same issue on US scourge. It seems like the HQM quarry is not matching output with the amount of fuel it's burning.
  19. Also, the damage reports are not popping up in chat or in the combat log
  20. RepeatPete called in a personal helicopter for our team. At the end of the fight there was no damage report and the crates were not locked to anyone. The crates behaved like traditional crates and a player RICHWEZZY was able to steal two of them. The theft was handled by the Scourge Admin team, so that part is resolved. The bug is related to the loot behaving differently and not locking. Unless personal ones are not functioning the same as other crates.
  21. Happened again this morning, but with a Bradley APC fight. No damage report and nothing in F1
  22. Nah, not a personal. It was the server heli. Aurora was in the fight with me and at least one other player was shooting also, none of us got a report message in chat and nothing in the F1 menu either.
  23. Confirmed with at least one participant of the fight that there was no message in chat with a damage report and nothing in their F1 logs with fight participants.
  24. Just downed the patrol heli with at least 1-2 other players and there was no damage breakdown report in chat. Could not get it to show in F1 logs either.
