    With the salvage hammer, if you hit the hobo barrel it will drop wood.  When you place the hobo barrel down again it restocks the wood.  Slightly exploitable.  Only drops however much wood is in there, originally 50 wood. Just thought I'd share.

    This mechanic is also true of the Oil Refineries. By default, both things start with wood in them when placed. It's exploitable, but we've looked into this, and it's not as bad as you might think. You're bound to break a few salvaged hammers before you're really making enough wood to build anything with it.

    It's just a game mechanic that both the Hobo Barrels and Refineries start with wood when placed.

    This has been known for some time. The fix is actually not worth implementing, as using this method to farm wood is a lot more taxing and time-consuming than just hitting trees. I want to fix this eventually, but the method to do so is not worth the performance tax on the server.
