Minicopter and scrap helicopter pickupable with salvaged hammer EU Pure

I was called in today by a player asking if this is a feature on The Earth Apocalypse. I tested it myself and you can indeed pick up copters with the salvaged hammer but when thrown behaves like a normal flare (IE you can't make it appear again).  

If this is known and/or intended feel free to disregard this report.
