  • Players logging in missing items

Players and admins are randomly logging in naked on the beach with their inventories wiped. There's no record of them dying and they logged off in a secure location, so an animal did not kill them. There's no loot logs. They do not respawn when logged in, they were already on the beach.

I have seen this happen to a few players, both last wipe and this wipe.

There seem to be a few potential bugs going on with this.

    • A few players logged off in their base, and were killed by animals. This was due to a foundation placed partially in the ground, that allowed an animal to glitch through the wall, go onto the foundation, and kill the player. Unable to replicate however.
    • Another player affected mentioned teleporting to /home and then logging off very shortly afterwards. Possible game did not register that they had teleported, so glitched them out
    • Another player (100% confirmed, happened early this morning) had logged off at a safe zone and been teleported away to a fully safe location, inside a base, off the ground, not near any furniture. Possible game did not register that they had teleported, so thought they were still in a safe zone and killed them after 20 minutes with no death log.
    • Aurora had previously mentioned that she had seen players get killed if they logged off on a sofa, table, or car lift. I'm wondering if this possibly is carrying over to ALL furniture, including coffins, boxes, and beds. I logged off yesterday afternoon I am100% certain on my bed, to log back in and find myself on the beach, no death log, no respawn screen.

Due to the finicky nature of the bug, I've been unable to replicate any of these scenarios so far, but hopefully something here fits a pattern.

Happened again to another player today on US Scourge, murqsdj. They had disconnected at Bandit Camp and asked me to move them to a safe location. I moved them to The Sleeper Zone. When they logged back in, they were a fresh respawn on a beach with no death screen, backpack lost.

Happened on US Survival to player Kidtumpet, internet disconnected while in Bandit, logged in to a wiped inventory and backpack, and showed her dying in a different grid from a wall. Attempted to teleport to backpack, but no luck.

Just happened to "certified hood classic" on US Survival. Their client crashed and in front of their friend the body disappeared. Log shows they were killed by a wolf, but none were around. There is no backpacks or anything left behind either.

Happened again to VengeanceUM. They disconnected at bandit camp, came back 21 minutes later and were dead (expected when logging off in a safe zone.) HOWEVER their last death marker was at their previous death across the map. And there was no bag dropped, they were a respawn on a beach instead.

Had the same issue a few times with teleporting players that have crashed out of a safe zone, it's as if the safe zone status does not get removed from them and they still die as a result. I've started depoting their inventories into a box in their base.

EU Scourge player https://www.battlemetrics.com/rcon/players/897261613 logged off in their base last night and logged in this morning dead.

Death message said they were killed by satchel charge and their death marker is at an event area where the last event was held on the 12/8/21 and they've been active since then. Satchel charges were used at the event.

No BM logs for their death overnight.

Just happened again with a player, Deviltattoo on US Scourge.

They had disconnected due to a power outage at Outpost and were moved to a safe location by another admin.

However the game did not register that they had changed location, and still killed them 20 minutes after disconnecting.
