You may have already noticed that when helicopters spawn they are indicated with a level. Its level is determined at random between 1 and 3, 1 being the default helicopter. The level is indicated in the chat announcement when it spawns.

The higher the level, the higher the difficulty and the more crates that spawn when defeated. This system was designed to give players a better challenge and gate early progression. We hope this also allows for bigger groups to target higher levels to give other players a chance at fighting their own.
