If that is the case, I am not sure what that would have as an impact by extending the time other than seeing who took it. I have seen on some other servers where it announces in chat who unlocks the crate. That way you can see who keeps snipping it. if you left it at 15 minutes a lot more players will show up at the crate during this time.
