This month you'll notice we're using the same map for all Pures', Survivals,' and Scourges,' and the reason for that is our plans to switch to custom procedural maps in October.

Custom procedural maps will have the same look and feel of randomly generated maps but will feature custom monuments and decoration throughout the map. Everything we implement will feel natural to the game and not impact client performance.

Also, to map changes, we're grinding behind the scenes rewriting our backend for significantly improved performance, functionality and pave the way for future implementation of excellent new features! More on this soon.

Curious if you have a .map files to allow single server users to get a feel for the map before wipe 🙂

I wouldn't mind doing this, but our maps are finalized hours before wipe, which wouldn't give you much time to explore. We wait until the update is finalized from Facepunch before generating and placing monuments in case they make any last minute changes.
