The_Real_Micheal: Report on Moderator's abuse of power

Recently I was banned for toxic behaviour as I retaliated towards an individual who initially replied with racist remarks, I made a comment on my recent Ban report on the forum so refer to that for more context if necessary. I'm not trying to make an unban appeal as I can see my wrongdoing but I don't think I'll be rejoining because of the bad taste left from the actions, or lack there of, taken towards toxicity and fair justice.

An incident between myself and a player called "Hiro" happened over seemingly nothing and I feel the manner in which Micheal dealt with the issue was not appropriate. The initial issue was trivial, I'm sure Micheal would agree, but Micheal's complete disregard for my complaints when confronting a toxic individual about responding with racist remarks was completely unprofessional considering someone has entrusted him with keeping the peace. 

He came after seeing the complaint in main chat and instead of listening to me he nonchalantly repeated phrases like "I don't care, you both are immature, both of you need to grow up..." over and over, completely drowning me out with no interest in caring about the offensive actions taken by the other player, who was no longer present by the way. His idea of telling us both to be quiet and fairly keeping everyone content was arrogantly avoiding what I was saying by speaking over me. These were his "3 verbal warnings." A short but frustrating interaction I gave up and left with my party, I asked my brother to make a post concerning the less than subtle racism thrown towards us and our home country as well as the lack of fair treatment. Considering we didn't take it to heart, that this is the internet and we've been exposed to that many times before, we weren't expressely bothered and he didn't follow through.

Seeing my Ban report now frustrates me as the moderator Micheal completely glosses over the previous issue and makes me out to be some toxic vandaliser only wanting to maliciously troll or ruin someone else's time so I felt the need to bring some attention to it. I usually keep to myself and considering every other interaction on the server has been quite decent and the players come accross as nice people I don't think the server is necessarily a toxic place but rather the moderator lacks training in conflict resolution. Dealing with toxic and overtly offensive content proves troublesome no doubt but to completely disregard it and make me out to be solely the guilty party after being targeted is morally unjust. 

I wasn't sure who to contact or if this is the right place so please excuse my mistake if it's posted on the incorrect forum. If I could get in contact with another moderator or perhaps someone who is incharge of supervising the assigned moderators I'd be grateful.

I've read through all the reports posted, including the ban report and the responses, and reviewed how it was handled.  I have spoken with Michael, and they agree that a 3-day ban is appropriate, given your actions and the ban will be updated to reflect this.

The complaint of racism on the server has been looked into. I'm sorry that you experienced such negativity.  The player has received a notice permanently applied to their RustEZ profile and will be expected to play by the rules if they wish to remain on the server. 

In the future I encourage you to take the time to  report the player and situation (on the server or in #help on Discord) rather than taking your own retaliation measures – that simply  doesn't work out well for anyone involved, as reflected by your own in-game warnings and ban.
