RustEZ Community Halloween Build Contest

Get your build hammers out and pumpkins on! We're hosting a RustEZ Community Halloween build contest for all players. Build an original spooky, Halloween-themed space on the server and enter to win prizes for next wipe!

BUILD REQUIREMENTS
The build must be a stand-alone single detached Halloween-themed build  (no towns/villages to ensure an enjoyable event experience for all) and contain a minimum of 5 different Halloween items obtained during wipe.  Halloween items will be easier to find after the Rust Halloween update (expected to drop on October 28th).

HOW TO ENTER
To enter, reply to this forum thread and include:

• Your server & region (i.e. AU Pure)
• Your in-game name (i.e. Aurora)
• The name of your build (i.e. Aurora's Spookie Shop)
• The Map Grid ID of your bui8ld (i.e. C13)
• Maximum of 2 screenshots of your build: One screenshot of the front, one interior/other screenshot of your choice

Once you have posted your entry here,  send me a private message via the website or Discord (Aurora#4203) to request your build contest package (a few helpful Halloween items).  Post early so we can follow your progress! You may edit your post later  to update  the screenshots.

Builds must be posted here by midnight (ET) Sunday, October 31, 2021. Players must maintain the tool cupboard (TC) during the contest to ensure no decay prior to midnight (ET) on November 03.   

BUILD TOUR EVENTS
Build contest ends later this wipe to ensure players have time to decorate their builds after the official Halloween update.  Unfortunately, this doesn't leave much time to plan our Build Tour event. Admins will do their best to host server events (Nov 1-3) so participants can offer tours of their build. This post will be updated to include events and times to meet.

BUILD CONTEST PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded per region  and admins will participate in their own category.  Winners will be chosen by admin & build tour participant votes. An additional in-game prize (for next wipe) will be awarded based on Tour Event  / Forum votes.

How do you guys get your signs/picture frames to look so good? I bought Rustangelo Pro and yet it seems to me that if I want that kind of quality it can take hours. 

Is that it, is that the trick? Just zoom in as much as possible and let it do it's thing for an hour or so?

The modded servers have /sil to load images on to signs and frames. So I've been drawing stuff on a notepad and then using /sil to put them up in game.

I was told /sil didn't work on this server (US Pure), back in like July or something.

Correct. Our Pure servers do not have game mods -- only Survival and Scourge servers are modded and have /sil.
