Rustmas EZ Cozy Cottage Build Contest

Get your build hammers out and reindeer antlers on! RustEZ is hosting a Rustmas Cozy Cottage Build Contest for players on all RustEZ servers. Build an original holiday-themed place and enter to win RustEZ store credits for next wipe!

Build Requirements

The Rustmas Cozy Cottage build must be:

• "Cottage" build size consisting of a maximum of 20 foundations. You may also include a ground-level attached deck area (up to 10 foundations, not enclosed) and use the ground space around your build for Rustmas decorations.
• Use at least 5 different Rustmas holiday items in the build.
• Be in the snow biome (OR) use at least one snow machine in other biomes.

How to Enter

Enter one of your holiday builds that meet the requirements above. Reply to this forum thread and provide the following details by midnight EST (5 am GMT) Sunday, December 26, 2021:

• Your in-game name (note if you're an admin)
• The server your Rustmas build entry is on (i.e. AU-Survival, EU-Pure, US-Scourge and so on)
• The map grid ID location of the build
• Max 2 screenshots: One showing the front of the build and one interior screenshot. 

Prizes

1st ($10 EZ Credit), 2nd ($5 EZ Credit), and 3rd (3x Supply Drops) will be chosen on Pure, Survival, and Scourge (all regions included for each) and admin builds as a separate category.  Winners will be chosen by community forum poll votes, after admins have verified the build meets the requirements.

Holiday Lights Build Tour  

Our tour event will take place December 27 & 28. Gather in Discord as we server hop to check out the Rustmas builds on all 9 RustEZ Servers. During the event, you will have a chance to win prizes including Steam keys and EZ Store Credits by joining us in Discord and on the servers.

Put yourself into the movies in A Christmas Story Mall Scene Experience.   Brought to you buy yours truly, EZ.   It's over in F14 (middle left-hand edge) in AU Pure, so all art is done without any mods.   I'm hoping to add a little ambiance later on, but this is what I've got so far.

A little Kitsch, and a little Nostalgia here to help everyone enjoy the spirit of the season.    Not exactly a cabin, but a one-of-a-kind experience on 20 foundations & a 5 part deck.   Stop by, ask Santa for what you want, and go down the "slide," just be careful that you don't shoot your eye out!

For visitors, we have in an unlocked chest inside holding, (to date) over:  500 chocolates, 40 santa hats, 60 reindeer hats, 15 sleds to play with, 14 snowball launchers, 400 snowballs, and 150 candy canes to make weird licking noises next to your friends.  Management recommends separating a single candy cane to lick, otherwise the entire stack goes.  Management holds no responsibility if Mr. Owl discovers it takes 4 licks to get to the center of 100 candy canes.

Since I can't edit my post, I'll just add this here for a little fun

 

'Twas the night before Christmas, and on the ice lake,
Santy's snowmen were stirring, beginning to wake.
Off on patrol, they began to look out,
Who were the good, and who was in doubt?
Bases were checked, strung up with lights,
Truly they were such a glorious sight!
Far from the ice, the snowmen did roam,
Updating Santy's Good and Bad tome.
Reindeer were spotted, roaming the plains,
Sending them home, to don their new reins.

Back at the base, Santy got ready,
Flying at night, his palms were quite sweaty.
Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen!
Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen!
They're long since retired, Santy's gone with his belly,
Loading his stuff now, into his heli!
Away he did fly, into the night,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
