Boat Decay?

Do the boats from the shop decay? I bought one and had built a little boat dock for it but it's gone today not sure if it decayed or got re-allocated by someone. I know you can hammer them back to the air drop. Just liked how our pier looked with a boat in it.

Do I need to get one from the fishing village instead?

 

I think I figured out the issue seems I need to come up with a garage door situation to make it work for Rihb.

the boat both fishing village and store brought will decay when left in open water to prevent this I normally build a boat dock with a door for a Rihb you will need one of the external gates and make sure to foundations under the boat can be driven onto you still want the boat in the water

I tried that and they still decayed so Im just gonna get store ones and stick them in my pocket when done
