Come on, placing quarries is a joke, surely it doesn't have to be this bad.

The extreme limitations and conditions hampering placement is pretty ridiculous. Considering how there is basically nothing restricting pumpjack placement it's wierd quarry placement cannot be made simpler. Even just scrap the survery charge and allow us to place it with the ease of pumpjacks. Have them all start with just stone and upgrade to get more options. IDK, just a suggestion

I know Admins can place their's beautifully and next to each other. We're hampered and limited so our base is huge due to the quarries determining where they go. The place on construction error on rock slabs etc. Would be nice to be easier.

I think, from previous threads, the issue is the personal quarry is an old part of the game, since removed and not updated.

I also find it annoying. A custom quarry that used the same terrain checks as the pumpjacks would be awesome.

I tend to place my quarries then build the base to suit rather that try and place the quarry after making a base. Also putting them on a flat bit of land in the middle of nowhere works well since teleport is a thing and they can be fully automated.
