Northstorm Posted September 7, 2024 Report Posted September 7, 2024 At the moment we have a system that in my mind is madness. You can place down a foundation without a TC and it will remain there all wipe as long as the person logs in within 7 days even if they are not using it. So what happens is at the start of wipe and all through wipe you have dozens and dozens of random fresh spawns all hitting trees and putting down a dozen or so foundations then realizing they are on the wrong server or their pal is on another server and they log off. So now active players have to wait several days until the purge or an admin can remove them which is infuriating, this wastes the player's time and also the valuable time of the Admin. How about this All foundations regardless of twig, wood, stone, etc.. that are not connected to a TC removed/purged after 72hrs This will Free up Admin time free up active players' time save on server lag 2
Staff Scotty Posted September 21, 2024 Staff Report Posted September 21, 2024 (edited) Having "no decay" only applying to assets within a TC radius would be super and solve the twig problem. Assuming its even possible to split decay in that way. It might be a case of you can only have it set to "on" or "off" lol. Rust is old... Maybe its even time we try a wipe or two with some degree of decay and just see what happens. Edited September 21, 2024 by Scotty
