Gusheose Posted Monday at 10:14 PM Report Posted Monday at 10:14 PM My last login to Rust was 2 months ago. Due to running out of space on my computer, I performed a clean Windows installation and then installed Steam. Upon launching Steam, I immediately encountered the Rust EAC ban. I submitted a ticket to the Facepunch support team but received a negative response. I filed an appeal on easy.ac, and it has been showing "Appeal Pending" for 20 days now. I play many EAC-protected games on my Steam account and have a library of over 1500 games. I only played Rust for 20 hours and didn't like it enough to lose my mind and use cheats. I am absolutely certain the ban is wrongful, but they are not interested. Can you help me? What should I do?
Staff Scotty Posted yesterday at 11:13 AM Staff Report Posted yesterday at 11:13 AM Hi mate, I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do, EAC is it's own entity and we have no influence with them. To deal with an EAC ban, you should submit a formal appeal through the game's developer or the official EAC appeal page, clearly stating the facts and your belief that the ban was a mistake. Provide specific details, such as if your account was compromised or if you suspect a false positive, but keep the appeal brief and to the point. Be patient, as the review process can take a long time. I completely understand your frustration at how long these things can take, and I hope they get back to you really soon. Good luck! Are you sure its a ban? If it's just an error you can delete your EAC folder and re-join it will re-download. That usually fixes that issue. Just trying to cover all bases.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enabled on my account; I don't believe my account has been compromised. The game wasn't installed on my computer, and I've never used cheats, and I'm completely against cheating. Despite this, my account has been permanently banned, leaving an unfair and negative impression on my Steam profile. I really don't know what to do. https://steamcommunity.com/id/ludweix/ Edited 12 hours ago by Gusheose
Staff Scotty Posted 11 hours ago Staff Report Posted 11 hours ago I'm sorry mate, I wish we could help. The story seems to be the same everywhere when i look online, EAC can take a long time to get back to you if there is a lot of appeals pending. Some users have reported waiting 15 days to a month or more for a response. As unfair as it is it looks like the only option is to wait. I really do wish you luck that you don't have to wait much longer.
