Speciekuip Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 What is the point of leveling a furnace or water pump? Less lag/fps drops and lower entity count right? Well get this setup in mind: Lets make a level 20 electric furnace, 1 conveyor inlet and 1 on the outlet with the EZ configuration with slower pass trough and less items per 8 seconds. Feed the setup with a box of sulfur ore. That 1 conveyor can't feed a single level 20 electric furnace, its too slow and runs empty after 2 seconds. So we still need to build a manifold. A 5 way inlet and a 5 way outlet manifold does the job with these EZ conveyor configuration. Why you don't want to run the complete setup with 1 conveyor and 1 level 20 electric furnace? On this setup we reduce lag/fps drops by placing 1 level 20 furnace but make lag/fps drop to feed them enough by building conveyor manifolds. Or is this the show like: "which entity do we want to reduce?" I don't get this clear in my mind. We want to reduce lag/fps drops and entities by stacking furnace but need a bunch of conveyors to feed them, that will make laggie entities again. I might be a weirdo but im looking for an answer and a solution to run my future level 20 furnace.
Staff Sweet Tooth Posted February 28 Staff Report Posted February 28 By having one level 20 furnace as opposed to 20 level 1's you have already removed a massive amount of entities by taking away 19 furnaces and the electrics/adapters required to run them. and you don't need 5 to push and 5 to pull if you run 2 pushing and pulling it will just lag behind 3 will keep it full and empty Rust 2026-03-01 10-59-28.mp4 1
Staff Catatonic21 Posted February 28 Staff Report Posted February 28 I also use same setup Sweet Tooth posted 3 in 3 out with 6 level 20s never have any issues

It fills way quicker than the EZ conveyor settings. This look like vanilla settings. Vanilla settings is every 2 seconds a push. Edited March 2 by Speciekuip Explain vanilla settings

Speciekuip Posted March 4 Author Report Posted March 4 Try it today on EU survival and enjoy, we dont have these push speeds as you do. Our setting is 4 times slower.

Staff TiffDust Posted 15 hours ago Staff Report Posted 15 hours ago you might want to encourage other players to use the level system, my guess is it would improve the push speed. 'define levels' in the ingame chat can be of help. Although there is a pop up of information when upgrade-able items are placed many chose to not do it or simply don't see it.
