Boat decay

Is it possible to alter the boat decay rate? 

I'm only able to play after work each day and it seems that any boat I build is starting to decay when I get on and is often gone completely if I forget to use the boat for around 2 days.

Given that it's not PvP, could boat decay be decreased/delayed a little? I don't mind remaking my shit shack on the sea, but I can't leave too much on them which is annoying. 

PS the boat mod used on Elysium would be awesome on the other modded servers

Last I knew if you deployed the boat building station within the boat, the boat would not decay.

Only on servers without decay
