The amounts are not always fixed. They always change depending on the location and randomly generated rate. Try another quarry, You get another random rate. You just got really lucky on your first hole.

Some players also report that they cannot sell items when their inventory is full of the items they are trying to sell. It will only sell the item when a few slots are open in the player inventory.

To Repeat the bug:
Fill your player inventory with Metal frags
Go To bandit Vendor
Sell Metal Frags for Scrap
The transactions do not go through

The server had a bit of a hiccup yesterday and was rolled back by a couple of minutes. Many players, like yourself, reported this issue, and it has been reported to the Developers.

As of this moment, we cannot replace the lost items. But we will try to make sure this will not happen again.
