I am writing to sincerely appeal the permanent ban I received for the use of a racial slur.
I want to be completely honest about what happened. I was experiencing extreme frustration after losing my loot to a glitch and realizing our team was out of ammo during a fight. In a moment of sheer "gamer rage," I used a slur in our private team chat.
At the time, I foolishly thought that because I was only speaking to my one teammate (Bison) and not broadcasting to the entire server in global chat, it was "just venting." I now realize how wrong and immature that mindset was. Regardless of whether it was in global, local, or team chat, that language is unacceptable, violates your community standards, and has no place on your servers.
I deeply regret my actions. I enjoy the RustEZ community because it is generally free of the toxicity found on other servers, and I am embarrassed that I contributed to exactly what the staff tries to prevent.
I have learned a hard lesson that the rules apply to every corner of the server, and I take full responsibility for my lapse in judgment. If you are willing to give me a second chance, I promise to keep my chat (both public and private) clean and respectful. I am more than happy to accept a "final warning" status or a temporary mute as a condition of my return.
Thank you for considering my appeal and for the work you do to keep the server moderated.
Sincerely,
