Explanation

Before you dive into the roadmap, just know that our Pure servers flourished when they were 100% vanilla, and that was mostly due to our incredible admin team that stepped in and assisted players long before the implementation of the salvage hammer tool. While admins have no obligation to be your personal remover tool, they won't mind giving a hand within reason if one is available to help.

Pure was our first-ever server and had maintained a healthy player base for over 5 years. While the player base now is pretty significant, the retention is pretty awful. The server peaks around 100 players on wipe and falls to about 40 after the first week. This is not good. This means we have quite a bit of players experiencing less than-ideal community presence for the majority of the wipe. That's the opposite of what our servers are about.

That's enough of my rant! Please check out the roadmap below so there are no surprises. For our long-time Pure players I appreciate your understanding and hope we can deliver you the experience you signed up for long ago.

 

Roadmap

This is our list of planned deprecation of server features over the span of 3 months to slowly progress our Pure server back to the community tab, which requires a complete vanilla experience.
 

October 5th Wipe

1. Removal of instanced quarries, pumpjacks, and giant excavator.
2. Removal of instanced helicopter and APC loot.

November 2nd Wipe

1. Removal of /sil and other sign artist commands for players.
2. Removal of all server loot protections spanning containers, vehicles, and player bodies and corpses.

December 7th Wipe

1. Removal of the salvaged hammer remover tool. *
2. Removal of portable recycler for VIP. **
3. Removal of the donation store. (Only memberships will be purchasable.)
    

* With the removal of the salvaged hammer, we'll be expanding on the game's pickup system to enable pick up on all of the entities we can to reduce the burden on players. Foundation and foundation walls will need to be removed via tools or weapons.

** We'll work to implement alternative perks in the future, but as of now, the only perks would be the unique chat color to indicate that you've supported the server. We understand for many, that's not enough, so rest assured we'll find ways to reward you.

I'm smiling ear to ear right now. From the bottom of my heart thank you. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to get to know each and every one of you wonderful individuals during my stay as an admin. I enjoyed every moment of it - from breaking walls, to helping new and veteran players alike, server events, killing choppers and brad and all the other antics we would get into. RustEZ is a special place. It will always be more to me than another rust server. RustEZ is a community, in every sense of the word. People there look out for each other, make friendships, hangout, and most importantly have fun. If it wasn't for RustEZ there are a couple people I would have not otherwise met that I now consider to be some of my closest friends.

More info: I was notified by 2 players that there was an incident on pure. I logged on and teleported to Tenpiotrek and found him inside another players house throwing stuff from their boxes onto the ground. They gave the player the means to leave and the player chose not to. When i confronted the player he did not listen and continued to toss items on the ground from multiple boxes. Ten also used scrap that was stolen to blueprint and learn stolen items.

More  Info: This has been a problem player for a wipe or so now. He placed an inappropriate sign on a players home once and was warned. He has also seen and continued to be seen on random loot logs even after being warned for that but could never pin anything directly to him. Today, two players notified us that their quarry was completely walled off. There was no access to their quarry and Gsom also placed a TC down and code locked the doors completely preventing access to it.

Server: RustEZ Discord

Ramonday was intoxicated and harassing players, mocking accents, telling them to fuck off, making sexual remarks to some of the players and admins. I told him to knock it off and he said he would. He went back into the chat and told the players there for fuck off. He had been banned from the discord to prevent further outbursts against our player base in the discord.

I'm not a fan. PvE doesn't have many things against the player and night is one of the few. There really is zero risk on a PvE server to run around during night with a torch, flash light, mining helmet as opposed to a PVP server where that may as well be a giant neon sign that says kill me.

More Info: Flippinko called me to his base saying that he was robbed. When I arrived I saw that he was completely cleared out and there was one name on just about all the boxes - Oofise. Oofise was able to authorize on Flipp's TC and then place a sleeping bag inside Flipps house to gain access to his base. He then placed boxes outside Flipp's base to pass loot through the window. Oofise used twig stairs to access the roof of Flipp's house where he was able to steal more items from Flipp. The player also placed barricades outside their home in the open.  Oofise has been banned permanently from the server.

-Asked me if he could become an admin for pure, immediatly called a new player a "fucking retard for coming on his porch and said he was going to kill him if he didnt leave" 

-Accused Crispy and I of admin abuse two time in just as many days with his reasoning being that we spawn stuff in for our own use and to hurt others, yet if he wants one of us to spawn his stuff in then that is totally ok in his mind. 

-Told A Player to fuck off and die after blu shot him once with an arrow. 

-Tried to incite an arguement between admins by jumping into another discord channel after i told him explicity not to in order to rub in the fact that we stole Murf/Slushy/Tankies stuff on Casual. After he returned to our channel bragging about going up to their channel, I told him to read the room and and that he needed to leave the channel before he made things worse. He get angry at this. 

-Told me that he had a small server that he pays for that he can upgrade to a larger server and me and Unicron could come admin on his server and he would make it exactly like RustEZ but it would be better.

More Info: A player told me that his signs had been vandalized earlier and i found Big Pun to be the one that changed them, as well as gaining unauthorized access to this players base to get on the TC to change the signs. I was now notified that a players home had been broken into. This player was completely cleared out and Big Pun had made multiple trips and only left 400 metal ore in the furnace. They have been banned.

More info: Teleport to @Captain blu / rustmoney.com. There was a person in his home who was not welcome. I asked the player politely to leave Blu's base and he declined. He then started spamming chat with the word "obese". I muted the player and told him to leave again. I TPd the player out of blu's base and they immediately tried to reenter the base through the door, then tried to break the floors. He then tried to jump on unicrons head to boost into the wall. I reminder the player of the rules once again that raiding, and player harassment and chat spam were not allowed. I unmuted the player so that they could redeem themselves by apologizing to Blu. They said "hey man i'm sorry. i'm sorry you are a fucking ret**d" they have been banned.
