(sorry for the 2 posts in a row but I can't find the edit button above) Here's another suggestion: make the Jackhammer and Chainsaw count towards the mining and woodcutting skills.

Maybe add more ways to get credits like a "/vote" command, similar to other servers? It would boost the server's position in Rust serverlist websites and give players another way to get some credits.
