    Map Changes

    Limitations on fireworks/lights not-withstanding, Keeping the maps at the same until after you get a read on how much pop you have on a non-holiday basis would be good. Perhaps increasing for specialized 'vacation' periods [March, Spring Break, June+ Summer Break], but decreasing sizes for scholastic/work activities. I have to heartily agree with Postanou about admins being able to limit player builds or having more enforcing powers. A limitation of 'massive builds' near major locations [outpost, bandit], etc would be helpful, or a defined location for 'flashy' types. A requirement for any tower above six stories to have some sort of 'flying beacon' so that people don't ram into them would be extremely helpful, or turning decay back on for Twig [which would kill most massive builds that just get left for ages]

I bought an additional level 5 pumpjack and set it up for infinite fuel. combined the resources with my level 10 PJ. the level 10 and the level 5 cannot make enough fuel to support a level 10 quarry. This is a serious issue - considering last wipe, a level 10 PJ made enough fuel to support 2 level 10s and itself.
  3. Last wipe, a level 10 PJ would produce enough for itself, and 2 level 10 quarries. It currently cannot keep up with 1 level 10 quarry.
  4. Basically, the double range is invisible. The old range is showing via 'building privilege' but then when it fades or disappears, the range is still active, but we can't see it. Makes for a difficult placing of a TC [either to protect a PJ or Mining Quarry for #Survival OR to know that if you place right on the edge of the roadway, that your TC extends to the other side of the Roadway/River blocking someone else]
  5. Since someone asked how to connect a PJ to infinite mode, and then connect a PJ to a Mining Quarry, and then an output, I figured I'd add this. Yes. totally can. /skin will allow you to use any skins on the server. Boxes listed below can be found there if you don't have them in your inventory. Upgrade all pipes to minimum of Wood for use of filters. a level 1 PJ will power itself, plus 2 level 1 Quarries, OR a level 2 Quarry. [1 LGF in, 1 Crude Out. Refineries change Crude to 3 LGF] Best link up is PJ output to 1-3 refineries[1 refinery for 1-3 PJ, 2 refineries for 4-6, 3 refineries for 7+], output of refineries[filter: LGF] to TC #1. TC #1 to input for PJ [filter:LGF, priority High]. [creates infinite loop]. TC to Mining Quarry [filter: LGF, priority MED], output from TC #1 - [filter, LGF, output, Low] to a Fuel Box. [excess LGF stored here.] which means the LGF goes to the PJ first, the Quarry 2nd., and the Fuel Box 3rd. You need a minimum of a level 5 Quarry to obtain Stone, Metal, Sulfur, and HQM Ore regardless of placement. Each upgrade for a Quarry [have a quarry in your active inventory, click on the blue fuel tanks, click the upgrade button] will show you the stats of what the output is without issue. Output from the Quarry to a TC #2, output from the TC #2 to an ORE Box [filter: Stone, Metal Ore, Sulfur Ore, HQM Ore]. ORE Box to Stone Box [no furnace needed - Filter: Stone] ORE Box to Furnaces [1 for Metal Ore [filter: Metal Ore], 1 for Sulfur Ore [filter: Sulfur Ore], one for HQM Ore [Filter: HQM Ore]]. output from furnace #1 [Metal Ore] to Metal Frag Box [Filter: Metal Frags] Output from Furnace #2 [Sulfur Ore] to Sulfur Box [Filter: Cooked Sulfur], Output from Furnace #3 [HQM Ore] to Box of Your Choice [Filter: HQM]. I'd recommend a minimum of 2 Stone Boxes for every 1 level of a Quarry connected by pipes.
  6. That's what I'm hoping for. On another server I was on, new players were instantly ported to a town, in a jail, where they had to read the rules, and then affirm that they had read them with a note. Signed by that player in a dropbox of some type. Don't know if its applicable, or possible, but it might cut down on some of the bans?

I was more thinking of a global FAQ or something that players could have a link to that could be posted in the /rules or something. or a welcome screen that every single player has to click on in order to gain access to the game. Even just a simple thing like what you posted above. where 'if its a grey area, assume that the admins know the answer, and don't try and justify your ideas'. concept. simple and easy to understand.

Perhaps something in the announcements, or something either on battlemetrics, or maybe a link in the /rules indicating to find this at rustez.com/forums/ServerRules or something. the 5 basic rules are functional, /info can be found on Survival, but not elsewhere. We seriously need a 'ruleset' or FAQ that can be immediately functional, or an automated email into the box of the person who creates a RustEz user account. Something that points them to the rules, and then uses examples on what 'not to do'. Maybe even a link to a discord post where they would have to click on it in agreement before gaining access to whatever server their in. Something that would expedite the issues and list some of those unwritten rules. Like there's the no-stealing rule, or griefing, but there's not examples. Gamers tend to thrive on examples of what to do or not to do. I'll give my own example. Someone blocked off a river with a bunch of foundations not connected to a TC. Just simple stuff. No admin online, and clearly blocking the area - so I dropped a TC so I could affect the foundations, removed some so that I could get past, and then picked up the TC. It registered somewhere, because I'm not supposed to remove another person's stuff, and I got a console warning because of it...a few days later. I asked about it, and had to get a message about the situation. It wasn't tied to anyone, it wasn't something I thought about, but it was a warning. Some way of using Discord #help to indicate that pinned messages at the top of the forums should be examined first, so that the same questions aren't repeated time and time again. or that people know to tag their server. Examples and instructions that are both detailed and visually based.
  9. After putting in the 10k, I was able to pull 2.5k LGF, full resources from each of the Quarries in US-Survival.... after the reset and crash. looks like it's fixed on that end.

US-Survival, put 10k LGF in each of the quarries, got an average/good outpost as long as I was monitoring them [2 hours later, 4 hours later]. came back 8 hours later to find no ore, no LGF. this was prior to the release of the new updates Death put out. Put another 10k LGF in the quarries as a test [I can afford it] after the updates today.

I think we need to add a few things to this: [This is copied from the battlemetrics] ● Pipes must only connect containers in close proximity and can not span large distances. - this isn't in the rules, but is still on battlemetrics. Food for thought: All bases must be upgraded to wood as soon as possible, given Twig's causataion for loading/lag. Laser lights can ONLY be placed indoors, since outdoor use causes server lag. - *something* about Searchlights or Xmas lights..... since using more than four in a hex area constantly on causes lag issues. No big bases within one hex of Bandit/Outpost. [another lag issue] When placing a quarry, use the four corner method for TC protection. And finally, *something* about heli fire and fixed monuments. I watched someone summon 5 helis in a row, using Airport/Oxum's station for cover. The explosive fire damaged more than a few bases around both, that were more than 1 hex away. I know you guys are working on something, but 'common sense' doesn't seem to be working here. If there was a way for new players [upon joining] to spawn into a designated area with the rules, or have something put up somewhere that contained all of something - it would be highly appreciated.
  12. Since you've recently mentioned /Silt, which can be used like this [/silt "Text" FontSize #textcolor #backgroundcolor] Using quotes allows for spaces in the text pasted on the sign. Here's an handy link to make colors or decide what you want. If you scroll to the bottom, you'll see Sliders for RGB that you can use to make any color you want. HTML Color Picker The basic colors [red, green, yellow, black] can be used as #red, #green, #yellow, #black, #cyan, etc.
  13. If you put up a circle with triangle foundations, and then build around it [to enclose it], and then destroy the 'circle', a large furnace will fit perfectly inside the circle.
  14. In the game, there are certain materials you cannot craft. Tarps, Tech Trash, Sheet Metal, etc. Resources: --------------------------- Fastest way to get tarps is Bandit. 30 scrap gets you a large planter box, recycle it to get 1. Fastest way to get sewing kits/rope is through the gloves found in Outpost. Recycle them. Fastest way to get tech trash is through Bandit. 2 medium batteries, and recycle them for 1 tech trash. Night goggles = 1 tech trash 2 solar panels = 1 tech trash Sheet Metal, Rope, all the basics can be found inside of Outpost. Empty Propane Tank, Gears, Metal Blades, Metal Pipes, Metal Springs, Road Sign, Sewing Kit - These can all be learned through research table to create in the future. [takes a tier 3 to make usually] Mining Quaries [when recycled] gives you wood, metal frags, sheet metal, and gears. Recycle the sheet metal into HQM and scrap, and you can place a Vending Machine instantly. Sell the excess frags to get scrap at Bandit. Survey Charges [when recycled] will give you LGF, Gunpowder, Cloth, and Frags. Recycle 10 to get enough to drop a bag, or start the process of powering a PJ. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECYCLE A PUMPJACK. Its 'icon' in the inventory is the same as a small stash. a level 10 PJ will turn into 10 cloth. Any type of meat, plant fiber, horse dung, or pickles can be placed inside of a composter to create fertilizer. Pickles is Fastest. Horses can eat pickles to increase stamina/stay alive. Short on scrap, but near a river? Corn can be sold for scrap at bandit. Farming/Water: --------------------------------- Salt Water Perfection: 3 Water pumps into 1 Water Purifier will give you unlimited fresh Water. Using a Water Combiner, take the flow from each of the Pumps to combine into the Purifier. The Purifier output will create a never-ending cycle of fresh water. The Water Pumps & the Water Purifier, since they're powered, are Fluid Pumps "you need a pump for this connection". You can connect multiple sources of water to a combiner, and then daisy-chain your sprinklers. [9 pumps to 3 Water Purifiers to 1 main output will give you 36 water output = 18 sprinklers] If you know that you're only going to do 6 sprinklers at a time, place a Water Barrel at the start of the water, so that if for any reason there's an issue, the barrel will continue the water for an extended period of time. Light Source: Placing 4 planters in a square, you can place a single light in the middle and get all 4 beds. Water Retention: Placing a sprinkler next to that light will also get all 4 beds. Heating: Heaters work off a sphere 1-grid outwards. So Placing them at head-height on a wall between 2 planter boxes will allow you to heat the floor above and the floor below. [and 1 box/foundations out] . Green Cards found can be sold at bandit for scrap. If you have the time, and you want to get gunpowder fast, go to Outpost, purchase 100 smoke grenades, and recycle them. You'll get enough gunpowder for bullets, and metal frags to make the bullets with. Fish Traps can be piped. Hobo Barrels give 27k charcoal for every 30k wood [but take 3 days to burn]. Refineries can burn wood faster. Press 'H' and slide your mouse across your inventory to pick up multiple things at the same time or place them in a box. To change the color of your wires or hoses, hold the R button while the wire tool or hose is selected in your hot bar. Want a good spot to land at night, but don't want the hassle of seeing it all the time? Set up the disco floor to a remote/smart switch. Link your Phone through Rust+. When you're coming in for a landing, activate the smart switch, and you have an instant landing spot colored by your choice. To have a never-ending chain of Deluxe Christmas lights, have a bunch in your inventory, and put one in your hotbar. when it gets down to zero, move a stack into the one in your hotbar. now you can continue your lights, but only spend 6 power to do it. [courtesy @OnlyAmanda] You can fish in a pool. Bonuses include having a boonie hat and sitting down. So if you put a boat in a pool, and then fish from it while wearing a boonie hat, you get the bonuses. [which means a backpack filled with cool stuff] Having an issue with people stealing from your large water catchers? Put up a foundation around them, chain link the fences. Can't get in. 9 Large Water Catchers will give a never-ending sprinkler system of 12 water to any location [make sure to put up a fluid pump before the combiner] 1 Solar panel, 1 medium battery, 1 Electrical Branch, plus a fluid pump [and light if you want], plus a TC, will create a 1x1 that you can daisy-chain a water supply to. Place the Solar Panel on the roof, hook it to the battery, battery to the Electrical Branch... If you're wanting to use more, 3 solar panels into 1 large battery, which can then daisy-chain to the electrical branch per 'water station' can power up to 30 stations [without the light] 3 solar panels into any large battery will give you an input of 150 power, output of 100. So your battery is always charging, even when it's putting out 100 power. Use Root combiners on batteries to combine into one mass power outlet.

Don't know about anyone else, but a bunch of people on #US-Survival were talking about how difficult it was to see the notifications pop up, for trades, tp requests, even that a garrison had spawned, because of the location of the messages. Others mentioned that as the result of pile-up of messages, that occasionally their game would crash. So I'd love to open a topic of discussion [as well as make sure admins know to read the chat logs around this time, last night, to read the comments and feedback regarding the current issues presenting players who are among the top heavy users of the system.... and see if it's not just US-Survival that's having the issues.

  17. Just wondering if it would be possible to 'buy' 10k of wood/stone/frags/hqm as a bundle or something on the store. Maybe a 'jump in kit' which might also contain a door, food, TC, lock, clothing, bow & arrows, bag... flashlight.
  18. I've seen plenty of individuals who have been given exceptions, or warnings. [you can check back into other bans in other locations, going back several months]. Unless it was an outright racist language used, in which case, the moderator or guide for that server posts the information including the rules, a variety of links to establish what isn't allowed, and so forth. I cannot comment on what I do not know anything about, but I would ask for his appeal to be reviewed or given a more definitive reasoning so that others might learn from it.   19. There's been a growing interest of a variety of things to do for people on the last hours of wipe. I was wondering if admins might get into some 'interesting events'. like a wave of animals, or zombies, or maybe scientists. something that might give people, in those last few hours, the knowledge that they, too, could participate and join the world in defending against. XXXX .... or a 'race with serum' - you and three of your friends must get the serum to the main hq by XX, first team to finish gets a prize of their choice for the next wipe. Just something that might make people want to watch, or join in....not PVP event, but something where teamwork matters. Ala Mad Max or Deathrace 2000

I would really, really like to see something implemented about heli towers and the direct closeness to quarries, PJ's, or any other implements of other players bases. its a hard thing when you build in an unclaimed area, have other people build there too, only to have some guy decide a heli tower is just what the doctor ordered... Because when that heli lets loose with its rockets, if it misses the tower, it continues onwards to hit whatever might be in its way...like a bunch of PJs, Quarries, or other bases in the area.
  21. There's your problem. Right there. What you consider 'harmless goofing around' is what those of us who play on these servers consider negative, with a zero tolerance policy. That you've read and agreed to. But you decided to get inebriated and play a game that you knew that restrictive rules to begin with, and then you complain because you broke those rules, and blamed it on the drink? I wish you well in your future endeavors... maybe you can find a server that you can get drunk and tell jokes on. But this isn't one of them.
  22. So, when I click on the upgrade for a level 10, it says 'production = 100 consumption = 10' .... lvl 1 production = 10, conumption = 1. So a lvl 1 over a 5 minute test consumes 30 LGF and produces 30 Crude. lvl 10 over a 5 minute test consumes 300 LGF and produces 300 Crude. that doesn't appear to be a production of 100 and a consumption of 10. [or a production of 10 and a consumption of 1]. I would expect for a 5 minute test for a level 1 to produce 30 and consume 3. or for a 5 min test for a level 10 to produce 300 and consume 30.
  23. Logged in and reset everything, including PJs and pipes. Somehow, it worked, I'm now getting 35-50k/day of LGF. I'd recommend others do it as well. even works offline. Cini logged in with nothing, redid his PJs/Pipes, and that seems to be working as well.
  24. Yeah. definitely not happening. I did go through all my pipes/refineries/PJs, and discovered something - somehow, several of my pipes/refineries were 'factory reset' - the filters didn't have anything in them, and more than a few refineries were fully loaded with crude, while others were completely empty. Mentioned it to moderator/admin, but I figured something should be said here. Check your pipes to see if the standards you set them up at the start are still working. The missing fuel might be collecting without your knowledge in a refinery.
  25. I'm running a level 10, a level 5, and 2 level 1 PJ's. They're currently not producing enough to cover 3 Level 10 Quarrries and themselves. Last wipe, I ran 3 level 5 PJs, and 3 Level 10 Quarries. I had a surplus of about 30k LGF a night or more. [including keeping them filled]. I've been told by moderators that there is an issue with offline fuel systems, so I'm hoping that something gets fixed.
