lordnavi Posted yesterday at 05:57 AM VIP Report Posted yesterday at 05:57 AM tldr you build the black box not buy it.... (to encourage some initial game farming) the item acts as an ingame hub for store item procurement and services using a premium currency purchaced from the web store to ground the system in game. so you get to provide ALL the premium items for a currency that is only acquired from the web store (the EZcoin) so the 1 grand EZ service hub for each players base everything can be bought and used and it recieves and provides the various automated resorces all the upgrades are still purchaced using glorious cash via the ezcoin.
lordnavi Posted yesterday at 05:58 AM VIP Report Posted yesterday at 05:58 AM it achieves the other goal stated by death of cutting the overall entity count down with everything merged into a single entity

There are rules in Facepunches TOS from doing such a thing

lordnavi Posted yesterday at 06:42 AM VIP Report Posted yesterday at 06:42 AM from a quick read of the community server and hosting guidelines they appear to support selling your own server currency?. so on the surface that shouldnt be an issue?

Give us some time to cook and don't worry too much as the new system will be much more convenient than you think. somehow i get the feeling that this is where it's heading, to extract as much money from the players to help with the cost of the new so called " system", but what happens when the new "system" breaks, and it takes several days to rectify.?

Maybe the VIP /rec perk should be changed to a physical recycler. It would be a little less "magic" and more immersive with the potential to level up your VIP recycler from the store. You'd lose the ability to recycle anywhere for the bonus of more realistic immersion into the Rust world . It might also be something that may be more Elysium friendly. It should still meet the 'personal recycler' perk as advertised. Personally I wouldn't mind, I've played enough Pure and Elysium that it wouldn't bother me in the least. Yeah I'm not a fan of this idea, I like the/rec perk. One of the reasons ai play on this server. It has helped me out many times. As far as "magic" goes and things wanting to seem more like realism, let's face it this is a video game we are talking about. You can only make it seem so "real" a few things is no big deal.

Quash Posted 4 hours ago Subscriber VIP Report Posted 4 hours ago Would it be one Hopper Station deployed per public quarry/pj for the automation, or would you be able to control multiple from one hopper station? Any thoughts on the projected cost in the black market for the hopper station? Would the quarry be injected into the playtime weekly claimable rewards?
Darktweets Posted 15 minutes ago Subscriber VIP Report Posted 15 minutes ago On 7/23/2026 at 5:15 AM, Death said: Over the years we've been slowly phasing these out as most of the in-game mechanics have been stripped out of the game, they take too much space and are just a hassle to set up by players. We've discussed previously about simply creating new models but that wouldn't solve one of the major flaws, which is placement. After much consideration, we've decided we're going to phase them both out completely and instead utilize the public instanced quarries and pumpjacks instead. These can be leveled up to improve production exactly as you can now, just they will live at monuments instead of your base. We understand the advantage of having them the way they are is to avoid travel time and unnecessary friction transferring these items from each quarry and pumpjack back to your base and we thought about this. With this change, you will now be able to purchase a Hopper Station from the black market which will enable automatic transfer to and from to restock with fuel and grab production to be processed back at your base. This will allow you to place adapters to properly automate processing material and keeping them fed with fuel to ensure players are able to re-create the previous quality of life from the current system. We're unsure how often transfers will happen, or if we'll allow the station to be upgradable just yet but we'll keep you updated as development continues. Servers that previously did not have quarries like Scourge and Elysium will not be able to upgrade quarries initially, but we do plan to enable this as we figure out how quarries will be obtained. It's likely quarries will join pumpjacks on the store and be a purchasable upgrade. On Survival, these will remain free as they are now but in the interest of improving server funding we may consider moving these to store exclusives eventually. TL;DR Quarries and Pumpjacks removed as player deployables. You'll be able to upgrade public quarries and pumpjacks instead. New deployable added to black market that will auto deliver resources to and from quarries and pumpjacks to allow automation. Non Survival servers will not have upgradable quarries initially. Will likely be a store item as we do for pumpjacks. Survival servers will be able to obtain quarries the same way they do now, but may change later on to help server funding. Feedback Nothing is finalized yet so we'd love to hear your feedback and ideas as we continue development. Does this mean that the hopper will be possible to be placed indoors or only outdoors, attached to a barrel or a box, with multiple sockets attached for external? in case people wish to upgrade all the PJs on the map to maximum... also, will the hoppers have a no-build radius like the current PJs or Quarries? If we'll be able to upgrade the quarries to certain levels, what's the highest level we'll be able to go to?
