  1. I don't want to tell people how to play because different players like to do different things.  But I don't understand why people need to build giant industrial farms and oil fields to horde resources they are never going to use.  Or sell out of because a lot of players are doing the same thing.  Like there are other games like Factoria or Satisfactory if you wanna do the industrial grind for grind sake.  All it does is lag out the server and make things unplayable for others.

  2. I agree that Scourge PVE has lost it's bite.
When there are more players online than zombies spawned, and bases filling over 80% of the buildable space, the whole concept of PVE zombie server is wasted.

I played on Scourge (US) for about a week this wipe and was just disappointed.

I thought about investigating Scourge (AU) and (EU) based on the visible difference in player population, however I decided not to fight international pings when what I'm trying to do is relax.

  3. Yeah I came back this wipe and all I see most places is obnoxiously huge composter farms.  I finally found a chill quiet spot on my map and now I have someone building a giant oil refinery right in the middle of the down hill view from my base.  If I wanted to live in an industrial zone, I'd play something like Satisfactory.

I played with compost farming, just to see how it worked.  If I can use FOUR composters to earn a couple grand in scrap in a two days, I don't understand why people need to build 100+ composter farms.  I agree that changing decay rates or upkeep rates probably won't change anything.  But as long as people build stupidly giant bases just to horde stuff or to stroke their own ego, the servers are going to be giant lag monsters and not worth the time playing.

  4. To my best knowledge/memory, the stockings are hard coded into the Presents drop list because both resources are originally from the Official Rust Christmas event.  Until Death figures out how to remove the item specifically, we are stuck with the Stocking as a boobie prize.  This has been a complaint regarding the Presents for years.

  5.

Yeah when the community is literally 1000+ people and you can't get 12 on the one PvPvE server we had for a brief time, that's kind of a sign.

Granted during my time on it, it was still an WIP/Experiment.  But we couldn't get enough warm bodies to properly test it.

  6. The only reason I can see to limit bag count so not everyone makes a little bag shack at every monument so they can go on a teleporting loot spree.  And I am personally okay with limiting bag count.

If you have been on the EZ servers for a while the cost of a revive or /home is negligible.  Changing the prices would not effect long time players with 50K or more EZ credits just sitting there.  The price has to be kept low enough to make it accessible to new EZ players.  Otherwise it's a matter of have's vs. have-not's.

  7. Now we all know at this point Rust is still a poorly optimized game when it comes to graphics.  I play on a top of the line machine and I get screen tearing on potato settings when riding a stupid horse at more than a trot.  Rust is just going to be janky and most of us have accepted that as part of the Rust charm.

So if lighting is causing you to lag, maybe you need to learn how to tune your graphics settings to compinsate.

  8. FYI:  I believe with the new electronic bits, if you know what frequency associates to the Bradley you can make an in game electronic indicator of the Bradley spawning.  This assumes the Bradley spawn has a frequency associated to it.

  9. As a former admin, if someone is being offensive to the point of being a bigoted racist piece of trash get them banned or at least muted as a warning.  Period.  RustEZ is not the place for that sort of behavior.

Now I will say I like the idea of a /ignore command as there are people that do not break the rules but can be found to be annoying to the point of not wanting to see their chat.  And I agree that everyone has their own levels of tolerance for such things.  I am glad to see that the command is coming down the pipeline as a stock feature.
