  1. In my experience these are fair prices, but supply and demand varies:

Salvaged Sword - 25-50 scrap; 25 scrap late wipe
Pump Shotgun - 75-100 scrap; ~50 scrap late wipe
Thompson & SAR - 50-75 scrap; 30-50 scrap late wipe
Rad Suit - 50-75 scrap; 25 scrap late wipe
    Medkit OR 3 Syringes - ~50 scrap

I don't feel anything else you have listed is worth selling, but that's just me.

But I'm just coming back to the EZ servers after a long break and this is my 2nd wipe back.

  2. I understand there are people that live and die by the Mining Hat and think it is the best thing since sliced bread.  I don't.  If I cannot control whether it is on or off I do not want it.  If it is toggle-able, fine, but it's not something I want or would use.  I would toggle it off and never bother with it.

@SCE_WraithI get what you are saying about the TC pillars. But at the same time my current base we built on Scurge, we built a starter and came back and was surrounded by someone else's TC pillars basically. On top of being up against Dome. Granted that part is our fault. Maybe a start is after a week, they must come down. Most of the returning players have their footprint by then.

Well that's just a douche move.

  4. I generally find TC pillars offensive and detracting to the environment.  Unfortunately sometimes that's the only way to prevent other players from building right next to you, especially if you plan on expanding on your initial base or using the area later on.  Unfortunately that also brings to mind some passive aggressive crap I've seen done on Pure where some people have no respect for personal space and will build things next to other players specifically to be a dick.

So if we as a community want to prevent or limit the use of TC's for blocking out territory, how do we then deal with players who have no respect for personal space and will build as close to your front door as possible?

TC upkeep on my last wipe was sketchy and burning mats faster than the rate listed in my TC and I had to restock once to make the math work.  That's not great if you do the math and stock a TC for a specific number of days just to find out a week later your some how short and your base started rotting.  Most of the community servers already have a sketchy feel about TC upkeep.  Do we really want to implement a system that scales up TC upkeep based on inactivity?

  5. I think we could do the Chainsaw and Jackhammer in the store on the cheap pretty easy.  The Chainsaw would have to come with some fuel though, otherwise you are effectively buying a paperweight.  Sadly a tank of fuel in a Chainsaw doesn't last long.  I have yet to see how long a fully charged Jackhammer lasts to have any idea how much value that would have before you are able to recharge it.

The store currently sells drop only weapons and in some servers like Scourge the friendly outposts aren't really all that friendly yet.  So I could see the merits of being able to buy the Chainsaw and Jackhammer.

The starter material package defeats the purpose of playing in PvE to me as without the PvP it is just a survival game.  Assuming I find a space I want my base right away, I can have a starter base up in less than an hour without help.  I usually take more time looking for the right spot on wipe day than actually getting my starter base up.

Being able to pay to keep BP's over a wipe isn't really possible.  When Facepunch forces wipes, sometimes they force the BP wipe.  This might not be true now, but it was true the last time I played regularly and was an Admin.  Even if FP doesn't force BP wipes anymore it would be a logistical nightmare to go in and pick and choose out of all the different player profiles who gets a paid pass on the BP wipe.  And that's assuming that is even remotely possible.  Every wipe even Admins have to relearn their BP's currently.

I mean, if you're safe, so you can do downstairs, grab a pop and a snack, use the facilities, and then get back to your computer so you can continue having fun? Five minutes is a long time if you're not safe / being chased.

And that's usually what I do at night if I'm safe.  But if this is a zombie server, shouldn't night be a little more than a short restroom break?  Having been swarmed by zombies at night, I agree that 5 minutes can feel like a hell of a long time.  But if you are safe it's 5 minutes of "why bother?"  I'd like to see this server with at least the same day/night cycle as the other RustEZ servers.

  7. Nights currently feel too short to me.  Currently you get a few minutes of pitch black during each transitions and a few minutes of night sky in between.  I'm told the duration of night is just five (5) minutes.  That seems pretty trivial for a zombie server.  At dusk I can go down stairs, get a soda, grab a snack, and use the restroom, and then get back to my computer just in time for dawn to have passed.  Why have a day/night cycle at all at that point?

  8. I may be back, but with a name change.  My old usernick "Shadewolfe" has had the tar kicked out of it by hackers off and on for the past year or so because a certain big name company failed at data protection.  I just finally got around to changing my handle to something I liked.
