  3. and if it lands on soil, plants a pumpkin?
  4. I tried to set up a Shared public furnace, and also to use someone else's Shared BBQ, non-tc players are able to access the inventory and give and take items but cannot turn them on, could that functionality be added? The Turn On button is green but clicking it does nothing. Cheers!
  5. Found it! HQM quarry shows the same output quantity as I just collected from it before the restart (in hindsight I think Stone does match up too, some stacks have merged though). When I accessed the fuel container it showed the fuel I'd started with (I think, fuel stacks have merged too) and the HQM began to tick up again. Essentially I've duped my mats, the opposite of the flushing them away I did on the first few days! The quarry system wasn't synced tightly enough with what I did in the final minute, causing it to be in my inventory but also restored to the quarry, this might be tricky to prevent exploitation. So it's probably just me seeing this right now because of when I emptied, I gotta go for the night but have a screenshot that it wouldn't let me add for some unknown reason if you wanna see the numbers later.
  6. Other possibilities, giving me again all that I've every taken from / fed to it, or showing me someone else's instance. The Metal and Stone megastacks are static and two more stacks are accumulating beside them as the fuel megastack ticks down. There's about 17k Metal and 115k Stone, a comparable amount to how much I think I've gotten from here to date.
  7. I'm at Stone Quarry on US Scourge, emptied it before the restart, opening the fuel storage I see one stack of 21k fuel and on the output a similarly oversized stack of metal and stones. I am able to remove a fuel, probably all of this. Is it showing me everyone's fuel all at once or something?
  8. It was added by FP this patch, that buttons would produce 1 power when activated with no input, like pressure pads do, for the reason of making elevators easy to set up. They had been doing so, but today it does not. Another player has verified this to be the case, is this your thing? Temp fix for people is using a pressure pad. I had no idea the map vms incessantly updating thing was something you had access to, super stoked to have that not happening any more!
  9. Sulfur quarry the same as Stone. Functioning! Output inventory 6 slots and called fuel storage, I'm fairly sure I saw a larger output inventory yesterday at least on the stone quarry, I pulled more than 6 stack out, but who can trust memory.
  10. Much of what you're seeing, OP, is intentional function of the new quarries, but some not. I'm seeing the same from HQM quarry right now on US Scourge. Others report it to be functional but I watched 50 fuel melt in it. The output side has the label of "Fuel Storage" like the fuel storage side does. I'm not certain whether it always did and couldn't get people saying it worked to confirm what they saw there, going to check out other quarries and see if I can see a difference. Lost a ton last night too, sleeping before the message came about don't. Could perhaps the virtual containers empty into their owners inventories on closing rather than just wiping? Presume it takes a reboot without that functionality to implement that, but if it can be done it would be a good fail safe for the likely further reboots that will be required. Update: Stone quarry is functioning for me, fuel storage is the name of the output and it's 6 slots wide too. Went back to HQM and its still eating fuel, Spooky Poo reports same result from HQ.
  11. The quarry define is obsolete but would be very useful if it wasn't right now! A define for zombie, specifically where they are, would answer the question asked many times a day. An accessible list of what defines are available and useful would be quite nifty, a command perhaps? Also noticed some obsolete /commands in Scourge, referencing the shelved friend system. On the /info screen, it seems information is going to be fixed into 12 categories for gui reasons. This needs updating of the quarry section with something about the virtual container system now protecting them and trophy crates, probably titled with this. The skin shop is a footnote under black market, but it comes up fairly often that new people didn't notice it or how to apply it, might be worth a whole category if you could merge Teleporting and Homes. You could discuss under Advanced Zombies where they will generally be, or it may be intentional to keep that mysterious, prompting usually the ask and necessitating a define. New people also occasionally fail to notice that upkeep is required on Scourge. Perhaps a freed up slot should discuss issues like what player inventories are lootable under what situations, though it can be useful to identify new liars if they don't know how it works. The inactive purge thing should definitely be given more spotlight, it's currently only on the website FAQ and solo people that intend to return can easily be required by life to be away for a week, 10 days, 14 (from the faq) whichever it actually is now. Should at least be in the server description and /info because it's a huge server confidence negative to run afoul of. The rule about building on roads is obsolete, might be updated to specify that rivers are not to be blocked? The detail about large areas of unused land might be clarified that you are not to TC cover then not use land, but you can build on land that is currently large and unused, the wording is ambiguous. Likewise about around monuments, you can build in a place that is around a monument, you mean no encircling right? I see that wording has been chosen to fit into bullet points, perhaps worth revisiting though? While we're on it, is it supposed to apply to swamps? I've seen one encircled in the past and didn't fuss about it but it made me wonder what the scope of this rule is. You're adding a lot of new content, custom monuments, building towards fully custom maps, I presume you'll hold off most of this sort of thing until that settles into place, but here's my observations about what there needs doing most. Cheers, and well done recovering as much as you did after the incident.
  12. People regularly ask if they can hide the killfeed, the best advice we can give is turn off everything with /hud but they don't usually want everything gone just the loud killfeed, could that be individually toggled with a command like /feed, and obviously still toggled with just /hud too?

    Scourge

Things happen and sometimes they defy reality.
  14. IGN: Pikefish Fragwarts - School of Rustcraft and RustEZ Z8, Z9, AA8, AA9. It's a school themed on Hogwarts, approximately accurate to the exterior layout. It contain lessons on how to excel at PVE Rust and how to do stuff that isn't made apparent to new players. There's a puzzle that unlocks the best kept eldritch top tips. Enter the Great Hall and try on the Sorting Boonie to find out whether you're in Griefindor, Huffinsulf, Radbearclaw or Salvarin! Main entrance is at the end of the Viaduct in Z8, to the left of frame in the wide screenshot.
  15. On Scourge, during the last 2 hours at least, trades sent have been occationally failing to produce a popup, though the chat message of receiving the request does seem to reliably appear. Frequency uncertain but I've seen it the one time I traded and others are reporting the same. When I got this chat only request, I then sent my own request, a trade interface opened and we completed the trade, then I received the chat message that my trade request had expired. I don't know what my trading partner saw during this, it was rem. I see you've been working on it, hope it doesn't take much more to get it robust.

Loving the new triangle roof, finally got something spikey enough for epic architecture like this! Looks great at night thanks to 32 cauldrons and usable spotlights. It's my main and my shop. US Scourge, S12.
  17. I don't remember where exactly I saw it, but I'm fairly sure it was stated that a levelled PJ (or perhaps it was just referring to quarries at the time?) would not be accepted for increasing the level of an already placed PJ, to ensure people couldn't accidentally lose levels and the operation could simply +1 if valid. At the end of last wipe I'd been given a Level 3 and already had a Level 2 running, so I thought I'd test that. Clicking upgrade did consume the level 3 PJ, and gave my existing PJ one more level, up to 3. I had not verified, by placing it down first, that the second PJ was indeed a 3, but it came from a trustworthy source. Am I interpreting the intended operation correctly in thinking that this should not have happened, that clicking upgrade should not have done anything?
  18. Did those resources not return to where they were 10 minutes prior? My Quarry and PJ still had their outputs intact, but my PJ was observed out of fuel shortly after crash, I thought I had some in it but not certain.
  19. Searched door closer hatch, no results, so here it is. If you place one of the lootable Door Closers on a Ladder Hatch, a white box is placed in a similar fashion to other doors, but it goes to the the middle of the hatch, where the hatch is, and it's solid so it prevents player passage. It does close the door for you, at least!
  20. Here's my night light system, I run it on US Scourge and others can tap into it with their own RF receiver, I have a camera pointed at instructions for how to set it up, called NIGHTLIGHT. The radio frequency I use for this is 5014 (sola). The Left side is the sensing unit, one Solar Panel points towards sunrise and the other towards sunset, the Batteries with Root Combiner are optional, it works without them. Like the OP did, they allow you to feed a bit of the surplus power into your grid if you have them lying around and want that extra 20 power generation. As the light comes up slowly, but its still generally too dark for lights off when the first power is received, this circuit requires a threshold amount of power before toggling the light channel, set in the first Branch. You can skip the radio bits and just feed the second Branch's branch out into your Blocker, but using radio allows you to use it across multiple bases, and others can too, by just building the Right side receiver circuit.

    Parachuting

As long as it can't be used to cheaply circumvent monument puzzles, so probably not again available after the first spawn (not just a spawn without any bed, that can be re-used), it sounds fun. If it were to be available after then, if it could come at the cost of a heli then that might be sufficient deterrent. One could build a diving board next to launch, or jump out the back of your friends scrap heli a little out of range, and easily farm them if it was available on demand by simply being alive and falling. If you accidentally jump out of your heli, or run out of fuel, is the heli definitely toast or will it fall safely and survive? I don't use them, don't know. Obviously you can just fly to dome or sewer with your minicopter already, but launch is safe(ish) because of the sams, perhaps ensuring the sams target parachuting players would be sufficient balancing, with a delay on reuse so it's at least not easier than coptering, or a hefty points cost? I vote maybe..
  22. The server just restarted on US Scourge, and many owned horses have disappeared, including one I'd just ridden before the restart. Limited data suggests the horses which ascended were the ones more recently used than the ones which had sat idle for longer. Some had shoes and armour. I'm reasonably sure it wasn't supposed to happen, so, bug!
  23. Would it be possible to pre-load the For field in VM administration with Scrap so 99% of the time we don't have to click, type enough of it, and select it? Would able to move on to just entering the scrap price, or in rare cases change it to a different trade. Maybe a clicky button to set it to For Scrap would do if it can't work like that.
  24. Ooh, interesting, I'll make use of that then. Cheers!
