Then how do players build their first base on day 1? You need to place at least 1 twig foundation before you can place a TC, although I, as many do, build a rough outline in twig before placing down a TC. The absolute simple solution to this is placing a TC in your base. No one can twig onto your base if you have a TC inside. I believe that most of the recent bans for twigging onto bases have occurred on Pure servers. I bet balls to bones that none of the bases that were raided had a TC down. Stupid stupid stupid.

That's because contrary to the stereotype that Aussies are criminals, the AU servers run very smoothly with very little drama. Proof of that is the US based players that prefer to play on the AU servers, even with a 200+ping, simply because there is very little drama & have such nice communities. I am proud of how well the AU server communities played together when I was Head admin on AU Pure & AU Survival; Even the admins across all 3 AU servers work well together. I'm sure Death can attest to how little trouble he gets from the Aussie servers compared to the others. Also, newsflash, there are Japan (JP) servers as well.

This sort of admin behaviour is something Death is 100% against. During admin training it is specifically brought up as an absolute no-no. Even though admin-player interactions are important, this type of behaviour is against admin rules.

How much did you make from the garage door?

You know very well this will only encourage players, in particular the main offenders. They will seek out any such effects, and wear it proudly like a badge of honour. Death has set the servers so that excessive farming (of whatever) is not against the rules. Until such time as there is an enforcable limit put in place, there is nothing that can be done. Not even by a Head Admin... Unless, as I have said many times before, cap networth. I find it utterly ridiculous that so many players only play every month just to accumulate ludicrous amounts of networth. They never spend it, or at most only a tiny fraction of what they accumulate. Networth was meant for QoL; Teleports, revives, and black market shopping. The system is broken, and grossly abused.

I find them easy enough. Got one withing 2 hours of playing last wipe. In fact, I recycled a lot because I kept getting them.

Mini-copter controls (a basic tutorial for absolute beginners)

Holding down the Ctrl key will allow you to taxi along the ground using the WASD keys. And the pilot can look around by holding down the Alt key. -
This one strikes me as a little bit of both Faye and Eldritch. Colouring is really nice.

Yeah, I like this one. Looks like it was the front door of a mansion that fell into disrepair, and now has been repurposed.

There is a handbook, and it's on this very website. Unfortunately, it is admin eyes only. Double unfortunately, there is nothing in the handbook about loot sharing public events (unless added in the last 12 months). However, in this situation, the guideline that was explained to me by Leadership was 2 parts: 1) Cargo, oil rig, patrol heli, etc. are events on a public server, which means anyone is free to participate. No dibs. 2) Fair loot for fair work. You do half the work, you get half the loot. Do quarter the work, you get quarter the loot. Dividing up the loot accordingly has always been the awkward part... Based purely on what was taught to me, and what you have said, you were fully entitled to participate on cargo, regardless who was on there first, and you get a fair share for work done. From how you described it, it seems as though your compatriot also knows this, hence their urgency to come down and kill the scientists in the hold before you did (NPC kills show up on the BattleMetrics logs). So this would then come under the last rule admins could enforce: Be a decent human being. You can try and report this to an admin, and perhaps the admins already have records of previous poor interactions with this player, but without any hard proof, this will be impossible to enforce. Thing is, this is day 1 of the wipe, and everyone wants to get to end game asap. I have always seen poorer interactions between players on the first days of the wipe; Lord of the Flies. Sometimes it is better to wait a couple of weeks before playing the new wipe. TLDR: People are greedy, and if they can get away with it, they will.

Am I missing something? The EZ community already has a discord, with a dedicated Help channel for pinging server admins. It's been up for years??
-
Funny. I like the concept, but santa should be pwning the Rust players, not the other way around. Clearly those players are on his naughty list.

It might just be because FacePunch hasn't discovered that server doesn't meet the criteria for the Community Tab anymore. It's not an automatic boot from the Community Tab the moment a plugin is installed; I know Pure ran with mods, and was in the Community Tab, for a very long time before FB clamped down on it. Either way, FacePunch wants all mods removed in order for Pure to rejoin Community Tab, so there's no getting round it.

There is the rule: "no claiming large amounts of unused land", however during my tenure as an admin, I found that rule was widely misunderstood. As it was explained to me by both Aurora and Granny, that rules is to stop players claiming large amounts of land just for a 'buffer' from neighbours. It's a public server, learn to share and cooperate with other players. However, that rule does not apply when claiming land with TCs, as you did, with the intentions of developing it. I generally allowed 24hrs for land to be developed (start building with twig, it's not hard), before approaching the player and asking their intentions. I also took into consideration real life commitments players have, such as school and work, and allowed extra time accordingly. But eventually the player would need to either develop, or remove the TCs. Again, not hard to start building. I also took into account excessively large builds, or pointless structures that wasted land, but that was another issue. TLDR: you should have been given some time to develop the land before being told to remove TCs.

I have been a member of the EZ Community since 2019. I was a Head Admin for one server for 3 years, plus Head Admin for another server for 9 months, concurrently. I have had much interaction with Death and Leadership over that time. I have trained new admins, one of which has since become part of Leadership, and 2 more that are now current Head Admins. From them, I have learnt much about what goes on in the background of the EZ Community; Things that the average player, like you, will never know. I don't give a flying F about a F2P game like Warframe. I care about the EZ Community, which is not F2P. A F2P game has a completely different method for generating income than Rust, or any other purchased game. This community is not about game monetization. And you are comparing an entire game's playerbase to a single community from another. Stop comparing apples and oranges. And don't be so rude to people who disagree with your ideas.

Death is not a Rust developer. And even though he has collaborated with FacePunch on certain game aspects, he is not in a position to be getting freebies from FacePunch. Renting, upgrading, and maintaining the EZ servers costs actual money, REAL money, and the money has to come from somewhere. That is the main reason for the store, and memberships. It's all well and good to say things like "slight chance" and such, and give away goodies to a great community, but money is needed to keep the servers going. The same amount of cash, month in, month out. Then add the thousands of dollars Death spends on new hardware for server upgrades that are required from time to time. Then there is all the time he has spent creating a whole library of plugins, of which you will not see on any other Rust server. No intention to be demeaning, but Death needs all the dollars he can get. He has stated on many occasions all the money generated from the store goes back into the servers & community. Can anyone really grasp/appreciate exactly how much money has been spent on the EZ servers since their creation in 2017? Sometimes I feel like some people need to stop and REALLY appreciate what Death has done here. The EZ Community is a unique oasis of friendliness in an entire desert of toxic Rust servers, and it is all entirely thanks to Death. This is an absolutely hard no from me.
