Join us this weekend on US Scourge for Panic Platforms! Everyone is welcome to join the chaos. Pull the "rug" out from under your friends, be the last one standing, and avoid the spike pit of death! Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 8PM EST, on US Scourge! How to Play This event is a free-for-all style and the goal is to knock your opponents down off the twig platforms and into the spikes below. Everyone will start at the top of the structure, and players will slowly fall. Rules and Info - The last three players alive on the twig platforms will receive the top three prizes - Players will be given a kit consisting of a weapon, clothing, and ammo (wooden bow, 100 wooden arrows, one fire arrow). - Each player will have ONE fire arrow that will instantly break a platform. Use them wisely! - If you hit the spikes, or are not on a twig platform, you are out of the competition. It is possible to fall multiple levels which could get you in a wounded state. If you don't get back up, and die, you are out, although you can try to convince other players to help you back up. If you fall and hit the next floor you may shoot the platforms above you if there are players above. However, if you are out of the competition, including in the spike traps but still alive, you are not allowed to continue shooting the platforms above you. This will disqualify you from future rounds. Also, playing and glitching by standing on the wall frames will get you a disqualification. Prizes There will be multiple rounds. The top three finalists of each round will participate in a final round for BIG in-game prizes! *Prizes can be delivered to another RustEZ server upon request.* Just a reminder that all server rules apply during events as well. If you want your appeal to be seriously considered, you have to accept responsibility for the your actions on the server, and the words that you have chosen to use in-chat and over voice. You have shown a pervasive pattern of disregard for the rules, and disrespect for other players, despite multiple lengthy chats with three different admins explaining that this not okay and is against the server rules. I am sorry that you are going through some real-life issues, but your behavior in-game is completely unacceptable. Actions have consequences, and right now the consequences of your actions have resulted in a permanent ban from our servers. What I want for you, if you return, is not for you to never speak again or anything like that, but to become a respectful, productive, and helpful member of our servers.

Thank you for appealing your 24 hour mute. Last night you received first a PSA in chat advising you to move on from the topic at hand, which was getting very heated and causing drama. You continued, at which time I console warned you for player disrespect as you continued the line of chat, instigating the other players, and being disrespectful. This is the warning you received: "Final warning. Player disrespect is not tolerated on RustEZ servers. It is time to move on in chat or you will be muted for 24 hours. Please review the server rules. Thank you." Today, when you logged on, you continued a similar line of discussion, about the P2W aspect of the server. Thank you for appealing the ban. It seems there is a bit of confusion about what the ban is for, so I will do my best to explain. Previously, you had two verbal PSAs consisting of long conversations (the first on May 21 and the second on June 6) where both myself and another admin, Amyrlin, went over the server rules, and talked about the importance of not escalating scenarios, but rather calling for an admin's help. The first warning for player disrespect happened after the conversation on June 6, when you chose to disregard the advice and instead escalate the situation in chat further. After that, both myself and JediDrift had conversations with you yesterday again (June 8 ) where we went over server rules, advised against escalating situations, and recommended you seek admin help if in a conflict. The permanent ban today was for multiple "f**k you"s that were directed at players in game chat. I understand you were frustrated, and were dealing with a player that you thought was a thief, when it actually turned out to be a big misunderstanding in the end. But two wrongs don't make a right. There is no good reason for calling another person a homophobic slur. Which is what it was; a word that has a history of being extremely hurtful and offensive. Until I see actual ownership for your actions, and the words that you chose to use, the ban will stay in place.

The fireworks limit tends to be reached fairly quickly on US Scourge, with the only way to reset the limit being the server restart. What happens is when the limit is reached, the firework's fuse will light up but never go off. What players used to do, and be advised to do by staff, was to hit the firework with a salvaged hammer to "save" the unused and bugged firework, and replace and re-light after server restart for it to go off. With this latest fix, once the limit has been hit and a firework's fuse is bugged/lit up, but not going off, there is no longer a way to save and remove the firework! I tried with multiple fireworks, and the hitbox on them for the salvaged hammer is incredibly small. If you somehow manage to be able to hit it and remove it, it no longer goes to your inventory. This means that 100s of bugged lit fireworks, due to reaching the fireworks limit, are either stuck bugged and unable to be removed, or if the player actually manages to hit it with the salvaged hammer, it is no longer returned to their inventory, meaning they lost out on those resources. Thanks for taking another look at this tricky bug!

Once again, ban will not be lifted. A banned player is not allowed to return in any way, shape, or forms on our servers. In the Discord help message, you clearly stated "sombody take my boat" not "Somebody has taken my brother's boat." You stated here that you "have to talk fore him he cant speak english" This means you have been on this account, chatting in-game, as the newly banned liptonman account has been been speaking a fair amount of English in chat in-game. Banned players are not allowed to return to play or chat in-game. This thread will now be locked. I trust that you will find a server that you can play on and enjoy. -Alexa

We have a zero tolerance policy for racism on RustEZ servers, and in our Discord, and on the forum. I was alerted to the fact that you had returned to play on our servers under a different Steam profile when you made the following comments in Discord: Once a player has been banned, they are not permitted to return to play on our servers under a different Steam account, as this is ban evasion. There is zero doubt in my mind that both Iceman-1980 and liptonman are your accounts. I encourage you to reflect on your choice of words, your past actions, and wish you the best of luck in finding a server to play on that best suits your play style. -Alexa

Hello there, This situation has been handled in-game and I assure you that all appropriate actions have been taken in accordance with server rules and policies. I took the better part of two hours to check all of the combat logs, and talk with each player involved, including a witness. If you would like, I have no problems having another conversation with you about the situation and about the server rules. Warnings were given out appropriately, after reviewing the logs and discussing the situation with another admin who was present. There is a chance that you misinterpreted some of what I said, which is that the two other players involved are friends with each other, and are long-term players on the server. This was a precursor to me explaining that, despite the fact that they are long-term players, I would not ban based on word-of-mouth that a homophobic slur was used. I then explained that, had there been actual evidence of it in the logs, it would have been an immediate permanent ban, in accordance with our policies. I also explained that homophobia was mentioned in the warning to make you aware that there is a zero-tolerance policy on our servers for such language, and if you did homophobic slurs in the future, it would result in a permanent ban. The warning was for player disrespect and homophobia, as you had contributed to the escalation of this unfortunate scenario by being disrespectful to the other players. Banned their alternate account aaronforreal (Battlemetrics) (Steam). Player made a new Steam account to attempt to bypass this permanent ban. Steam profile picture also features the Chinese president, showing that player has still not taken the time to orient and familiarize themselves with our server rules, and one of the reasons for their ban (no politics or political figures.)
