  1. Offender: Findus (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 5:28 PM EST Length: 1 day Reason: Griefing and player harassment More Info (Optional): Player took issue with another person's base that had spotlights on it. Instead of asking for an admin to take a look, they took matters into their own hands, building a huge tower next to the build. They then set up over 16 spotlights, set to flash on and off, as well as 10+ foggers, 10+ spooky speakers, 15+ strobe lights, all going off constantly. I lost count trying to make note of them all, and it took me over 20 minutes to find them all and turn them off.
  2. Offender: kchil9 (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 7:16 PM EST Length: 6 days Reason: Stealing and griefing More Info (Optional): Player had two previous warnings on account. The first was a 24 hour mute for chat spam on 04/02/2021 at 11:38 PM EST. The second warning was earlier today. I verbally went over the rules for them concerning garrisons, that nobody is able to call dibs, and all those who participate and actually do damage with explosives are to share the loot. Player was extremely disrespectful to the raiders. I learned afterwards from multiple witnesses that before I was present, kchil9 also called them f****t multiple times, so I gave a console warning for homophobia and player disrespect. As there was no video evidence, I did not place a ban at this point, to give them one more chance. The ban is for stealing and griefing. Less than two hours after the previous incident, player went to interfere with a garrison raid again. Combatlog as attached shows that they did no damage to the garrison. While there, they interfered and griefed the raider by jumping in front of them, preventing the explosive bullets from hitting the target, and in return, causing splash damage to the raider. Afterwards, once the wall was destroyed, they stole the contents from one locked crate. This blatant disrespect for the rules so shortly after having them all be explained by an admin necessitated a ban, which was modified to 6 days after I interviewed those present and learned they were griefing as well as stealing. I hope that if the player returns, they review the rules more carefully, and conduct themselves in a more respectful manner.
  3. When the calculator gives you a list of clones that equal a desired gene, this is what you do: 1. Have a free/empty large planter 2. Place any random clone of the same plant in the centre of the planter. Genes do not matter, it just has to be the same plant. Wait for it to hit sapling stage. 3. Once it hits sapling stage, plant the clones with the genes listed in the calculator around the centre gene in the planter. 4. Once crossbreeding stage is complete, clone the centre plant. (Can be done as early as Mature for hemp and berries, as early for Fruiting for food crops.) It should hit the shown result gene from the calculator. Hope this helps!
  4. Welcome to RustEZ! Happy to hear you found us. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to reach out!
  5. Hello there, Sorry to hear about the negative experiences you have been having. As the commenters above have posted, the best way to combat these issues is by letting admins know when someone is being toxic or breaking the rules. If there is no admin available in-game, please post in #help on Discord and tag the server you are on, for example @(US) Survival, so that you can be connected with the appropriate admins. We are volunteers and cannot be everywhere all the time, so unless these situations are reported, we cannot act on them. I am not sure what you are referring to when you mention players with multiple warnings and bans should not be allowed to play. Warnings and bans are given out on a case-by-case basis, with the exception of the chat filters, by the admins. Depending on what happened, first-time offenders are not always banned immediately but just given a warning, to give people a chance to follow the rules and adapt to the servers. If a player who has been temporarily banned gets a second ban, it is almost always permanent, so they would not be back on the servers anyways. A lot of good players and people received a warning or two early on in their time in RustEZ servers as they made the adjustment to PVE playstyle, and are now upstanding and helpful members of the community. When a PVP player comes on just to troll around, the best bet is to just let them say their piece and not react. They often do it just for a few seconds of attention, and as they say, if they trolls aren’t fed, they leave quickly. If they are being abusive, racist or sexist, or otherwise breaking rules, let an admin know immediately so that we can deal with the situation. You mentioned earlier that you were playing on US Survival. Our modded servers (Survival and Scourge) do have a locking feature for minicopters and scrap helicopters. Ones bought with credits from /shop come to you as a flare. When the flare is thrown, the vehicle drops slowly from the sky, and is locked to whoever throws it. Minicopters and scrap helis from Bandit Camp can be stolen if flown around directly from Bandit Camp, but just fly them away a safe distance, and hit them with a salvaged hammer to store the vehicle as a flare. Then, as I said before, these flares can be thrown, locking the vehicle to whoever throws it. In this way, stealing minis and scrap helis should be a non-issue on our modded servers. I hope this helps clear up some things. -Alexa
  6. Store cars, when thrown from signal, are dropping a regular supply crate instead.
  7. Offender: Ghostgod21 (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 8:23PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Player harassment and admin disrespect. More Info (Optional): Player entered another player's garage, and stole their car modules and parts. I gave them a warning for this. Right in front of me, they destroyed the chassis, so I gave them another warning for griefing, and told them any further rule-breaking would result in a ban. A few minutes later, they returned to the garage, and refused to leave the ramp in front of the other player's base. I told them not to enter other player's bases without their permission. When I asked them to move along, they said "You have literally no right. Go do your laundry, f****t." At this point, I enacted a permanent ban as their language and actions were completely inappropriate.
  8. US Scourge. Player had two level 5 pumpjacks in inventory. When they hit a level 4 pumpjack with salvaged hammer, it disappeared, and did not appear in inventory.
  9. I think it's related to TC zone/building privileges. I have seen players hit other player's drops with salvaged hammer, removing the drop and letting the goods fall to the ground, which they can they collect. I believe a few players have been taking advantage of this exploit, by putting a TC down by unprotected drops, and looting it.
  10. Offender: bigbertha (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 7:12 PM EST Length: 3 days Reason: Player harassment More Info (Optional): First warning was for entering another player's compound and stealing their car parts. Second warning was for continuing to hang around after being asked to leave and damaging their car. Third warning was for continuing to hang around and bothering the players. Final ban came after the player returned to the compound again, took some items on the ground, refused to give them back and leave, and then re-entered right after leaving as soon as I left.
  11. Offender: Ricky (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 7:02PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Toxicity and Disrespect More Info (Optional): 7:00 PM Ricky: y r ppl teaming if its pve 7:01 PM Ricky: bc wanted to see this autistic shit 7:02 PM Ricky: warning kys slit ur wrist u little whore 7:02 PM Ricky: this shit gay asf 7:02 PM Ricky: im lookin at a mf 2b2 w stone foundations and twig walls 7:02 PM Ricky: this server is for retards
  12. Offender: ScoobyJewy (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 6:58 PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Toxicity, Player Harassment, Admin Disrespect More Info (Optional): Console warned and them verbally warned for gaining access to another player's base. Kept re-entering after being removed. After the verbal warning, he screamed "Shut Up" in my face, followed my "I don't care if you're an admin" while continuing to insult and harass the other players and scream into his mic.
  13. Generally, we operate with a "3 strikes/warnings and you're out" rule, in which the third strike results in a ban, depending on a variety of factors. Since this was your third documented case of rule-breaking in a short period of time, and due to its severity, it warranted immediate ban action. As there were two people involved it took a bit of extra time than usual to go through the logs. I also wanted to go over everything with Spliff as well first. It was during this time that you and Kwkinnard136 had logged off, so the ban had to be done while you two were offline. At this point, the ban will remain in place. A big part of life and growing up is that learning that actions have consequences. I hope you take the next five days to review the rules and reflect on your actions and choices and how they affected other players.

  15. I did not see the beginning of the heli fight, just the end. The very tail end of what I witnessed, placing a TC down to loot and partially destroy a base that had just been damaged by heli, was enough in itself to warrant a ban. I saw you and Kwkinnard fighting the heli by the other player’s base, not your tower as that was intact and not damaged. I got there just as a volley of rockets killed both of you and the sleeper inside. I saw the flames all over the destroyed base, as the heli was downed. Then I witnessed Kwkinnard placing a TC, while both of you picked up and looted as much as possible. He then removed the TC so that the last few remaining foundations would decay. Even if the heli destroying the base was NOT intentional, the other actions afterwards certainly were. Instead of calling an admin to help with a base that was destroyed by heli, you both took advantage of the situation for personal gain, by gathering and stealing everything that you had deemed was worth keeping, and leaving the rest to decay. Looting decaying bases by putting a TC down on them is not allowed. Looting a base that you just saw get destroyed by heli by putting a TC down is definitely not allowed. These are both considered stealing and griefing which is against the rules. The ban will remain in place.
  16. Hello, I will provide some clarification for you as from your current point of view, there was only one warning. The second warning was only given shortly before the ban, right after you disconnected. It was for looting a pumpjack that was not fully TC protected, which is stealing and is not allowed. That warning got delayed as I had been alerted to other suspicious activity on your accounts, that of looting decaying bases as well as potential heli griefing. Due to the time it took to look at every piece of information, as well as document what I myself had witnessed, the second warning was sent out after you went offline, so should appear on the screen next time you log in. However, it was a separate incident, therefore warranting a separate warning. The incident in which half of Ykkyle's base got destroyed after a rambunctious bonfire gone out of control was unfortunate. But completely unrelated to the offenses related to the ban. I will say though that I was indeed there, putting out fires, and repairing with my own personal use hammer and wood I had chopped. In any case, the proverb "two wrongs don't make a right" is one to think on. The ban will remain in place.
  17. Offender: Kwkinnard136 (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 11:15PM EST Length: 12 days Reason: Griefing, looting, theft. More Info (Optional): Player had two prior warnings on account: first was for griefing and destroying other player’s cars, the second was for looting a pumpjack that was not fully TC protected. I was investigating possible instances of him and teammate ykkyle looting decaying bases, as well as potentially luring heli to bases. I witnessed them both lure heli to a wood base, destroying it and the TC inside. They then placed their own TC down, looting as many items of worth as they could, before removing the TC and leaving the base to decay. A sleeper inside was also killed. A few instances a TC on decayed bases and then looting can be found on this player's account. To protect the privacy of other individuals I will not provide direct screenshots here. Just some of the instances I have found (so far) were on these dates at these times. Each new entry is a new player that was stolen from. All times are EST. February 17: 6:16PM February 17: 10:27 PM This player had less instances of looting compared to their teammate, so the ban was softened to reflect this. Taking into account the player’s prior warnings, and how they affected other players with their actions, I have set the ban at 6 days.

  19. US Scourge: Multiple reports of fuel missing from HQM, sulfur, and stone quarries after server restart this morning. Multiple players said they put fuel in last night, checked it this morning and fuel and resources were missing. Seems to be okay for some players and not for others
  20. Was showing him as authorized on building cupboards with 'ent auth'' but for whatever reason, he did not have building privilege. Re-authing fixed the issue.
  21. Player on US Scourge reported that they were unable to access composters placed by a teammate despite both being authorized on the tool cupboard. The bugged composters only had a stack of fertilizer in them. Played was only able to access "shared" composters. Thanks!
  22. The details on inactive purge can be seen here: https://rustez.com/faq/question/58-how-does-inactive-purge-work/ Provided there are still active members on the tool cupboards, the bases should not be purged. As I said before: The first warning was for stealing crates (01/09/21), the second for being toxic to another player (01/15/21). I was not witness to these events. Your third warning was for player disrespect (including insults over global chat) and for entering another player's compound without their permission with the intent to grief them. The ban was for player griefing by way of purposefully surrounding their base with massive twig builds with the sole intent of harassing them, directly after having been reminded of the server rules and given your final warning for breaking them. Considering that there is no remorse shown, or owning up to your actions and choices, the ban will remain in place.
  23. This ban report is focussing solely on your actions and choices in these situations. I have addressed the other players involved separately, issued warnings where appropriate, and had chats with them as well about server rules and what is and is not okay. Building a base with a teammate (provided it follows all server rules concerning building) is fine. Building with the sole intent of surrounding another player’s compound with massive twig builds in order to grief and aggravate them is not okay. We do not tolerate player griefing, disrespect, or harassment on RustEZ servers. After your third warning, I had a lengthy chat with you and your teammate about server rules, and informed you on how to mute a player in-game and over voice chat. I reminded you that you already had multiple warnings so it was important to follow the rules, and important to ask for clarification or for an admin’s help when needed. Almost immediately after I went to teleport away, I witnessed you and your teammate change conversation, and start brainstorming ideas on how to aggravate the other player and his associates, including the idea of surrounding their compound with massive twig builds and putting signs on them. I had to teleport away to assist other players so was unable to talk to you two at this time. In your conversations, you were both fully aware that what you were planning to do would be against server rules. When I was next free, I witnessed you two building the massive twig builds, trying to fill in as much area as possible with builds and TCs, before you left to do some timed server events. I took the time to take screenshots and logs of each build. I teleported back to chat with you two and witnessed another conversation about the griefing twig builds, and warning each other to “watch out” as you might “get in trouble.” You and your teammate were both fully aware that it was griefing, against the server rules, and would have repercussions. I am certain that if I had not taken ban action at this point, you would have continued expanding on these builds and adding signs, further escalating tension between you and the other players, and further griefing and harassing them. If you do return to play, I recommend you look over the rules carefully. I am always willing to provide clarification on rules. It is important to contact an admin if there is a problem with another player, instead of trying to further escalate a situation. I will keep this thread open for now to allow you to make an appeal for the ban if you wish to do so.
  24. Offender: smeat (Battlemetrics) (Steam) Server: US Scourge Time: 3:35AM EST Length: 7 days Reason: Player griefing, multiple warnings for rule-breaking. Player had three previous warnings on account. The first was for stealing crates (01/09/21), the second for being toxic to another player (01/15/21). I was not witness to these events. The third warning was earlier today for which I was witness to. It is directly related to the ban so I will go into detail. This third warning was for player disrespect and entering another player’s compound without their permission with the intent to grief them. He entered past another player’s walls to chop down their trees with a chainsaw, fully knowing they had just erected those walls to prevent players from coming near their base and/or chopping their trees. He then mocked them over voice chat. When Player B returned and saw what had happened, words were exchanged over global, with screenshots to follow, that were very disrespectful on both ends, with smeat trying to bait them further into a fight. I have provided part of this conversation for reference. Both players involved received warnings for this. Afterwards, I had lengthy chats with both players over voice in-game going over rules, including griefing, player disrespect, not entering other people’s bases/compounds without their permission, and informed them how to mute someone in-chat. I told smeat this was his final warning for rule-breaking actions. Just after this conversation, I overheard smeat discussing with a teammate how to further grief Player B, including the possibility of surrounding their compound with twig builds and signs. They were fully aware that what they were planning to do would be against server rules. Sure enough when I returned shortly afterwards to visit Player B's compound, smeat and his teammate were erecting twig builds around Player B's compound. Taking into consideration previous warnings, and that I had just gone over the rules with him, I am setting it at a 7-day ban. I hope he takes that time to seriously consider his actions and review the rules if he wants to be a positive member of the RustEZ community.
  25. US Scourge. I put a Two-Sided Town Sign down next to Stone Quarry on US Scourge to put a sign up referring players to view Discord for quarry announcements. I didn't like the placement, so with noclip on, I hit the sign with a salvaged hammer. Ubertool was still on at this point. Both the Stone Quarry and the Sign disappeared. Granny looked into replacing it temporarily and was unable to find a good way to do so. Thanks and sorry about that.
