  1. I agree with Postanou, I've been around long enough to see the many changes to net worth over the years and the effects it's had on the economy. I do like the competitiveness aspect of a leaderboard but as net worth currently is I do not think it fits. I have known players recently make 25+ million in a single wipe with their (as you call it) scrap farms and then never spend 90% of it, then in the new wipe go bigger just to see if they can get more than their last wipe.

In my opinion if this was to be implemented I would like to see net worth wiped every 1 - 3 months to remove the redundant stock piles.

  2. Not sure if it's possible to adjust the sounds for specific things, to my knowledge creators use what has already been added by Facepunch. If a model was used from the asset library but no part of the current vanilla gameplay it may not have the same propertise hence the quietier sounds. But I'm only assuming this and someone like @Raul  might be able to answer if its possible.

  3. With the last update Facepunch might have something happening in the last 24 hours that might be somewhat along the lines of what you are asking for, we will just have to wait and find out.

  4. Thanks for your feedback and hopefully I can shine some light on a few of the things you mentioned. The changes we make from Facepunch vanilla form are to help create a better PvE experience as Facepunch version is tailored towards PvP. Since we have a wide spectrum of play styles it’s not always easy to please everyone.

Loot from Helicopters and Bradleys bought from the shop has diminishing returns. The loot you used to get is not as good as it once was.

Loot is based on Facepunch, though we have made changes to the stacks sizes of ammo, rockets and some other items this was done when instancing was brought in. It was to minimise groups from gaining to much to fast, unfortunately it doesn’t favour solo players but these events are designed to do in groups.

Pumpjacks (both Public and Store Bought), produce at least 50% less Low Grade, than what we usually got, meaning that it's no longer worth buying things from the RustEZ store.

To clarify they do not produce 50% less they still produce 1:1 (1 lgf > 1 crude) but the rate at which it’s processed has been slowed down.

Animals being removed from the server. Now I get this may be to do with server performance, but this has impacted quality of life for some of us.

This as you have said is to help performance. They do get turned on every now and then, however when we can guarantee no performance hits they will come back.

Farming, for example  Hemp, doesn't seem to be profitable anymore. Now we're spending more time farming, than actually getting to play the game.

I can’t think of anything we have done to nerf farming it’s what ever facepunch have changed in relation to rates. If it’s the over sized stacks from vendors you are referring to then our solution is far better than the vanilla one facepunch nerfed it to a while back.

When we first joined the server, there also used to be Raidable Bases, but again, maybe due to server performance issues, they got removed as well.

Our version just became outdated over time but works on a new version is on the list to be done. Unfortunately due to the many performance hits we have had a lot of the time has been diverted towards having stable servers to play on. I can’t give a ETA on when though.

again thanks for your feedback as we will review this when making changes to better our servers

  5. Hi The.Demon.Grim

The decision to issue a ban was not taken lightly. It was the result of a careful evaluation of your behavior and actions on our servers, including discussions with other members of Leadership. It was found that you had engaged in repeated instances of player disrespect, which manifested into toxic arguments in global chat. Furthermore, your recent behavior is what ultimately brought us to the conclusion that you are not adjusting your behavior to fit in with our community.

Regarding the specific incident of player disrespect that led to your ban, our investigation revealed that you engaged in a personal attack on another player in global chat. It is important to note that the target of your attack has to this day never logged into the server you described during the altercation, nor had they even joined the EZ community at that point. This false accusation violated our server rules, which prohibit any form of player disrespect or harassment, in this case by naming a specific player and telling everyone they were the reason you gave up your role.

However, that alone is not what led to the ban, your ban was implemented due to multiple instances of player disrespect, including engaging in toxic arguments in global chat over the last 12 months and recently griefing another player's building. These actions were in clear violation of our server rules, which aim to foster a respectful and enjoyable gaming experience for all players.

We take these matters seriously as they not only create a toxic atmosphere but also harm the overall gaming experience for our community members. Our primary goal is to foster a positive and inclusive environment where all players can enjoy the game without fear of personal attacks or false accusations.

We encourage you to reflect on your past interactions and consider their impact on others within the community. While we acknowledge your long-standing presence on our servers and your support through store purchases, it is crucial for us to maintain consistency in enforcing our rules to ensure a fair and enjoyable environment for all players. We understand that this outcome may be disappointing for you, but it is crucial for us to maintain the integrity of our community and ensure the best possible experience for all players.

  6. I understand how you feel and I remember when Facepunch originally implemented the limit system. Due to that change it was acknowledged that system wouldn't work on PvE servers as it was implemented to address a problem on PvP servers. The raising of the current stock you experience today was a quick fix to bypass Facepunch's restrictions and the limit resetting daily was made to not flood the market however its becoming more apparent that some players are taking advantage of the current system.

Apart from the little history lesson above I would like to thank you for your suggestions for addressing the current issue and it is something that will help with rewriting the current system to accomidate our servers better.

  7. This has been talked about a lot and I believe it is on the agenda to do at some point along with other GUI and HUD features. The blackmarket was revamped and has been for a while now and soon skins will hit our finger tips which are 2 of the major GUIs we currently have. Other elements will eventually get updated and these suggestions will be considered when that time comes, but this one is a must.

  8. Theres nothing stopping anyone setting up stocking exchanges with items they have collected during game play.

As for removing them from the large presents loot drop % I don't see a need to. Yes part of their functionality is only enabled during the christmas season but they still act as a storage container and decoration that many players use in their builds.

  9. Previous to the industrial update the difference between our Survival and Scourge servers was Survival had pipes for automation and Scourge had zombies running around. Now Facepunch has released the industrial update all our servers have the vanilla pipes however to keep Survival somewhat different from the rest we have made it so you can place the adaptors on pumpjacks and quarries amongst other non vanilla containers.

If you really want that feature then Survival is the server for it. If you would like any more information this thread is where it was also suggested

  10. EZ servers have NPC Garrisons on our modded servers Survival and Scourge which I must admit is a bit behind its time compared to some other NPC base plugins that are out there. In saying that it has been something @Death  has been wanting to update and expand for a while but unfortunately server performance has taken precedence.

    Please let us know what features you would like to see in raidable bases, some that I would like to see are;
    - Multiple levels of difficulty
    - Multiple bases on the map (tie in with difficulty)
    - Active raid zone to lock it to a player for a given time while raiding
    - Random loot tables
    - Traps and NPCs

  11. @TiffDustis right, Survival is our only server that has extended pipes to keep it different from Pure and Scourge as prior to the industrial update Survival had its own pipes. Extended pipes basically adds more containers that can have adaptors attach to them, most notably Pumjacks, Quarries, recyclers, mixing tables and others.

If this is something you're keen on then we suggest giving Survival a go, Pure and Scourge servers will only have the non modded pipes.

  12. We are not really limited and can usually adapt a event to the terrain/map, so it doesn't really hinder an admins ability to run them in that aspect. As Postanou mention most of the event ideas you have mentioned already take place with some of them run each wipe, the only ones I have not seen yet are the harbor take over and Rock climbing. What is an issue sometimes is the set up, and take down which can take a bit of time depending on the event that is being run.

If I was looking for a dedicated events map then I would want it tailored for events, meaning custom map with zones that already have event stages set up. For example if you have ever participated in charitable rust that is the kind of map I would be looking for, pre built race tracks, arenas, galleries, sideshow games and the list goes on. This however is not an easy task to set up but with the growth in map makers this might be plausible in the future.

So its not a bad idea and I think admins would love it, however one of the purposes of running events is to draw players to servers and increase player numbers on those servers. Having a dedicated map draws players away and doesnt give them that chance to expirence our other servers.

  13. I'm guessing you are using the bind

    bind <key> chat.say /backpack

this is why it's now always showing the hint because there is a new shorter alias for that command. If you change it to /b then the message would go away. However the best practice bind for backpack is.

    bind <key> backpack

this will also remove the message from always popping up
