  1. Moved this into planning. I'll see what I can do.
  2. The home system has been recoded to fix issues, improve performance and expand features on our Survival and Scourge servers. Key Changes There is no longer a cool down in-between teleports. Instead, the cost will increment by 50 credits every use. (Cost resets nightly) Players no longer teleport while sleeping to prevent inventory tampering. The loading screen will be slightly longer to ensure your client has received a full snapshot to avoid clients being overworked when loading a new area. The cooldown before teleporting has been removed. Once the request is accepted the action is instant. Players teleporting from cargo, hab or floating junk piles now have their parented entity removed to avoid parented offset issues. Beds and bags that are shared to other players will now reflect in their homes menu.

  7. Starting November 7th Surge will go full PvP and the base protection system will be deprecated. I will be expanding on the honor system to add more perks and revise what it has now. Additional PvP servers are planned such as vanilla and primitive servers. The underlying issue is my lack of confidence running PvP servers. It's different and is something I am passionate about expanding into. My main focus will always be PvE but for the longevity of our beloved community I feel its imperative to branch out into new modes. Hybrid servers will definitely be revisited once I get my barrings for PvP servers. Until then, expect some new EZ servers cropping up! Questions? Feel free to leave them bellow.

  8. I'm not a fan of that layout. I have plans with the team system but as for the level GUI it's in the best place to keep things symmetrical. You can hide the hud with /hud

  10. You're free to make your own skins and upload them to the steam workshop. As far as item sockets I have no plans on changing them.

  14. That's a great perspective. I can perhaps look into ways to manage massive twig structures rather than implement a form of decay. Thanks for your input.
  15. This sounds like it would add more stress for admins having to micro-manage "junior" admins.
  16. Twig doesn't cause anymore lag than any other building grade and if this were to be implemented you'd be seeing wood bases instead of twig. The twig decay model only effects new players which are the ones we try our best to give them the best experience possible to keep them playing.

  20. I do plan on branching out to themed servers but right now I'm trying to get my barrings for operating PvP servers.
  21. The remover tool is bound to the salvaged hammer to add value to the item. There are plans to add the item to the store but there are no plans to change how it works as far as functionality.
  22. Had I got to this earlier I may have added this option. However, since modular vehicles will be implemented soon this would be a waste of resources as we'd remove the car completely from the store when this time comes.
  23. This has been implemented. You can pick up vehicles using a salvaged hammer to redeploy later.
