Thank you for appealing your ban. There is zero tolerance for the use of homophobic slurs on RustEZ servers. You called me over to deal with a player that was harassing you and your teammate. I asked them to leave, they left your build but were hanging around your doorstep still. As I was writing up the warning for them, I witnessed you calling them an "annoying a** f*g" over voice. This was captured and recorded on video as well. An immediate permanent ban was enacted as per our policy for the use of homophobic slurs.

The ban will not be lifted.

Welcome to Get Shafted!

Event: Saturday, August 7 at 8PM EST on US Scourge

Everyone is welcome to join! Prizes will be delivered to any RustEZ server upon request.

Get Shafted is a new twist on a classic RustEZ event (think Kill-A-Watt and Knocking on Death’s Door.) When your time comes, will you get lucky, or will you Get Shafted?

In this gruesomely glorious event, players are locked in their own elevator shaft. Each room is wired and connected to a random switch on the game board. In a gameshow-style format, shaft by shaft, players take turns picking a switch to try and eliminate the other contestants. The last three players left alive will win the top three prizes for that round.

How the Event Works

Players join the event with an empty inventory and no access to backpacks or chat commands.

Each player will choose their own shaft that they will be locked in until their death, or until the end of the round if they are the winner.

If there are more than 30 contestants, players may double (or triple!) up in a shaft, and both will receive prizes if they manage to survive.

Once all players have a shaft, the round will begin.

During the game, players will select a number (1-30), from the unselected numbers, until everyone has been killed except for the sole remaining player.

When a number has been picked, the neon sign will go out, and players must choose from the remaining lit up numbers.

There will be (at least) three rounds total. 

Prizes

There will be multiple rounds. Players from all servers and regions are more than welcome to join! Prizes can be transferred to other RustEZ servers upon request. For the final round, all participants will be competing for BIG prizes!

A few things to add...

Before binding a key, I HIGHLY recommend you check first to see if it is already bound to something else for use in Rust! Do this by just typing bind <key> in the F1 console. If it isn't bound and is free for use, it will usually say (nothing) in response.

To unbind a key, type bind <key> ""

That is, two quotation marks with nothing in between!

No clip is necessary at this point, since you have been talked to numerous times about this exact sort of behaviour, and even acknowledged yourself in your very first post the language that you used towards another player. Their report was almost word-for-word the same as many reports about you and garrisons from other players. Very few players will record their gameplay, so it is hard to get actionable video evidence, which is part of the reason why you have been given so many chances to this point. If you had fully corrected your behaviour, then I would not have had to talk to you so many times about the same things, about the server rules, about garrisons, and about being respectful. I will acknowledge that yes you did make some positive changes after our talks, but they were always temporary, seeing as I had to have the same discussions with you multiple times.

The server rules are clearly displayed when entering the server, and I have gone over the player disrespect rule with you many times. It should go without saying that calling another person a b***h is indeed disrespectful and therefore against the rules.

Thank you for making an appeal. However, at this point, the ban will remain in place.

You have been given many, many chances, far more than would usually be given, far more than an admin should give to change your behaviour and attitudes towards garrisons and other players. Previously, you had a 3-day ban in February for player harassment. Usually when a player has a ban for such a severe infraction, any further warnings or rule breaks result in an immediate permanent ban. Since you moved servers and I didn't know you personally, I wanted to allow you the chance to change and follow the server rules. I listened to your side of the story of what happened that lead to you being banned, and felt rather sympathetic towards you, believing you may have indeed been misunderstood by other people. However, since then, time and time again, you have shown a disregard for the rules and for other players, constantly being borderline disrespectful, and toeing the line of rule-breaking territory many times.

Following the ban, I spoke with you on May 13 about garrison rules and server rules, and the importance of sharing loot with those who also participate, as well as being respectful of other players. We had another conversation on June 6 about garrison rules, loot sharing, being respectful towards other players, and allowing them a chance to try taking out garrisons.

During our conversation on June 7, I made it very clear that any further rule infractions would result in an immediate permanent ban. I said there would be absolutely no more chances or leniency, and that any more disrespectful or toxic behaviour would result in a ban. This was following you being disrespectful and toxic towards other players in chat about garrisons. On July 4, I actually DID give you one more chance, after you placed a few High External Stone Walls and took a distress signal heli right next to another player's massive twig build, which ended up destroying half of it, when there were plenty of other places you could have battled it, but instead heli griefed their build. I gave you the benefit one last time that what you did was not intentional, but made it very clear again that you were on your LAST last chance.

The permanent ban is for player disrespect. There was yet another incident today at a garrison, in which you were incredibly disrespectful to another player. First you attempted to block them from entering to take and share loot, by placing your tool cupboard in the way. Then you proceeded to call them a "little b***h ass". When the player, also heated, tried to work out the loot sharing with you, you said "take it you f*****g little b***h" and then teleported away. This is disrespectful. This is unacceptable. At this point with your track record and the number of times I have talked to you about this sort of behaviour, and heard your side of the story, and gave you chances to change, there was no need to talk with you first-the permanent ban was placed. No more chances,.

Kayaks. A friendly river cruise will turn into a nightmarish race to the finish. You will be out... for blood!

How to Play

Join with /event when the event is open with an empty inventory (no clothing, inventory, belt. Backpack is fine and not affected.) Everything you need will be provided to you.

Rules and Info

The Athletics portion of the Event is comprised of mini Events, with Solo and Team portions run in heats. More information will be provided at the event.

The Team Kayak Race, Squads will be divided up into Teams of two. Any solo players may be matched up together with Squads or with other solos to form teams of two for the event. All winners will get prizes. If any Squads have at least two players show up, and are in any of the winning Teams, they will earn bonus prizes for the Squad Leaderboard.

A cool twist on this Race is that all along the way, on the pylon markers, are chests filled with...blood! Whichever person collects the most blood by the end of the race will each 250 Solo Leaderboard bonus points! Players may wish to donate their collected blood to a teammate or Squad member, to up their chances of winning this solid prize.

Prizes

Winners of heats will win bonus prizes. The top three of each mini Event will win prizes and bonus points!

For the Kayak team race, all winners will win Solo Leaderboard points, as well as Squad Leaderboard points if they are in a Squad and if at least two members are present.

How to Play

Join with /event when the event is open with an empty inventory (no clothing, inventory, belt. Backpack is fine and not affected.) Everything you need will be provided to you.

Rules and Info

This Solo Event will be run in heats. There will be an area for spectators to watch and take photos.

Prizes

This event will be run in heats of up to six players at a time. The top three from each heat will advance.

The top three players in the final round are the winners of the Event and will win the following prizes:

1st Place: 1 Gold Egg + 1 Supply Signal + 100 Leaderboard Points

2nd Place: 1 Silver Egg + 1 Supply Signal + 75 Leaderboard Points

3rd Place: 1 Bronze Egg + 1 Supply Signal + 50 Leaderboard Points

This fun & frantic timed course is sure to tie you up. No horsing around! Concentrate and get the fastest time on the course to win prizes. 

How to Play

Join with /event when the event is open with an empty inventory (no clothing, inventory, belt. Backpack is fine and not affected.) Everything you need will be provided to you.

Rules and Info

One player will run the course at the time. Everyone else is to spectate in the stands. Every player will get the chance to choose the horse they want, from those available. If you, or your horse, die you are immediately disqualified

Prizes

The ten best times on the course are finalists and will get to run it a second time. The fastest three times in the second round will win prizes!

The top three fastest times in the second round are the winners of the Event and will win the following prizes:

1st Place: 1 Gold Egg + 1 Supply Signal + 100 Leaderboard Points

2nd Place: 1 Silver Egg + 1 Supply Signal + 75 Leaderboard Points

3rd Place: 1 Bronze Egg + 1 Supply Signal + 50 Leaderboard Points

How to Play

Up to six players will run in a single heat. The top three players of each heat will advance to the next heat, until only six players remain. The top three winners of the final heat will win prizes, as well as points for the Leaderboards! Full event details will be disclosed the night of the event.

Prizes

The winners of each heat will win a small prize and point bonus, as well as advancing to later heats, with the hopes of placing in the top three in the final heat for prizes and big points.
