Are you ready for the US Scourge 2021 Olympics?
July 18-July 31, 2021.
Two weeks. Solo and Team Events. Tons of prizes up for grabs.
Earn points by participating either by yourself or with your Squad to advance on the Solo and Squad Leaderboards. Win heats and Events to earn bonus points. Big prizes and, most importantly, bragging rights at stake. Who will come out on top?
Players from all servers and regions are welcome to join. All Events will be hosted on US Scourge. Prizes can be transferred to other RustEZ servers upon request.
More details coming soon, so keep an eye on this forum post for more details as they are released.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Enter
To join an Event, simply show up to the server at the posted time. Clear your inventory, clothing, hotbar, and join with /event . Backpack is fine and is not affected. Individual Event details will each have their own separate post with more details.
There are also two Leaderboards that you can join and compete on.
Solo Leaderboard
All players who join an Event will be added to the Solo Leaderboard.
Earn Solo Leaderboard points just for showing up and participating in any Event! Earn more points if you stay to the end of an Event. Be the top player in a heat, or in the top three placing in an Event to earn bonus points.
There will be other opportunities to earn Solo Leaderboard points throughout the Olympics, so keep an eye on this topic for updates.
Squad Leaderboard
Join up with friends to compete on the Squad Leaderboard. Up to five players can join a Squad. To enter a Squad, click on my name on the forums, and send me a direct message with your Squad Name, the players’ in-game names, and a flag of your design. Alternatively, drop a note with the information in one of the dropboxes at the Olympic Village in C9, just south of the Stone Quarry /home teleport point. If no flag is submitted, I will create one for your team!
If a player is in a Squad, all points they earn on the Solo Leaderboard, will also count towards their Squad’s total on the Squad Leaderboard.
To earn bonus points for your Squad, have at least two members show up and participate in a Team Event. If not enough members from your Squad show up to form a full Team for a particular Event, you may be matched up with other Squads and players. If your Team wins that round, or comes in the top three placing for that Team Event, your Squad will earn even more bonus points.
Prizes
There will be prizes for the winners of each Solo and Team Event, as well as prizes awarded at the end of the Olympics for the top three players on the Solo Leaderboard, and the top three squads on the Squad Leaderboard.
Solo Leaderboard Prizes
1st Place: $15 RustEZ Store Credit, Gold Egg for August Wipe
2nd Place: $10 RustEZ Store Credit, Silver Egg for August Wipe
3rd Place: $5 RustEZ Store Credit, Bronze Egg for August Wipe

When you are using a word that is a sexual identity as part of an insult to degrade, demean , and disrespect another person: that is homophobic. That is disrespectful. That is unacceptable. It does not matter whether or not you are a part of the LGTBQIA+ community, or if it is something that you and your friends think is okay and is commonly used around each other. It is homophobic, disrespectful, and not allowed on RustEZ servers.

The warning was for homophobia, which has previously been addressed with you directly. We do not remove warnings; they stay on someone's record permanently. As I explained to you before, if the player gets multiple warnings, we look at the frequency, timing, and severity of them when deciding whether or not a ban is necessitated for a player's actions. Previous warnings are also referenced in a ban report, if a ban report is necessary.
The term you used to insult another player, while not a direct "slur", was homophobic in nature, and very disrespectful. Absolutely nowhere did I say that it was a slur, so I am not sure what you are referencing. Had the word you used been a slur, by the dictionary definition of the term and on the list of autobanned words the server deals with in the chat filters, it would have been an immediate permanent ban at that moment in time. The word you used was not a slur, but was still homophobic and disrespectful, hence why I made the choice at that time to just give you a verbal warning for your behaviour instead of a ban.
I hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

Thank you for your apology.

Offender: Sigma (Battlemetrics) (Steam)
Server: US Scourge
Time: 5:13 PM EST
Length: 3 days
Reason: Griefing and harassment.
More Info (Optional):Player previously had two warnings on their account. One on 06/27/2021 for player disrespect and homophobia, and one on 07/11/2021 for camping Bradley.
Player and their teammates set up at least 20 cassette recorders, hidden in the admin community centre, set to constantly play the dinging noise from Discord. It took me and another admin over an hour to find and dispose of all the recordings, and required us to remove and tear down parts of the build as they were glitched into the walls and the furniture. Without admin tools, the cleanup process would have taken a lot longer. Regardless of who this "prank" was pulled against, it was unacceptable behaviour, and is not something that we want to see turn into a trend on RustEZ servers.- 3

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the premiere of Fired Up!
It was super close each round, coming down to mere seconds, but Team A, lead by team captain 3DSHROOM, pulled through and won 2-0.
Congratulations to the winning team! All prizes have been now delivered.
Stay tuned for more new and exciting events coming soon...

Thank you for appealing.
With the current cancel culture in the world, racism in all aspects of society is being closely scrutinized. While we do understand that it still heavily permeates music, comedy, movies, and other media, it is something we do not feel is appropriate to have in our servers.
Words such as what were used on your account, are not welcome in any context. This includes renaming bags, even if it is your own, or a friend's.
Here are resources that you can explore to learn more:
The ban will not be lifted.
You are solely responsible for what happens on your account. The rules are clearly stated when joining the server that no racism is allowed.
We wish you the best of luck, and I hope you find a server that better suits your playstyle.-Alexa

Offender: Stu Pickles (Battlemetrics) (Steam)
Server: US Scourge
Time: 9:33 PM EST
Length: Permanent
Reason: Looting
More Info (Optional):
Player previously had a 1-day ban for griefing on EU Pure (12/11/2020) followed by a warning for an excessive build (05/10/2021), and a warning for stealing personal distress signal loot (07/04/2021.)
Permanent ban is for looting. Player entered a base that had accidentally been left open, and stole as much as possible from a vehicle that was being stored on a lift there. Stole the engine parts, and two of the modules. Items all found in one chest in their base, recovered and returned to the victim. As they have been already banned once, and warned for breaking the same rule (no looting), a permanent ban was placed.

Heck yeah let's do itttt! I'm all for lowered boombox decay. I get why Facepunch put decay on them but at the same time, it's a paid DLC in which you have to continuously repair the item to get use out of it. Big sad.

10 minutes ago, Death said:
There was a reason for them not to stack, but I've honestly forgotten. Will have a look at them again and see if they're able to stack without issue.
Allowing them to stack was messing up the sell orders at the Fishing Villages, allowing players to buy multiple fins/goggles/tanks for the price of one. A similar issue to the mixing table sales at Bandit Camp. So the solution was to change the max stack size back down to 1 for those items.

Join us this weekend on US Scourge for a Fourth of July Special Edition of Panic Platforms! Everyone is welcome to join the chaos. Pull the "rug" out from under your friends, be the last one standing, and avoid the spike pit of death!
Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 8PM EST, on US Scourge! How to Play
This event is a free-for-all style and the goal is to knock your opponents down off the twig platforms and into the spikes below. Everyone will start at the top of the structure, and players will slowly fall. This Fourth of July Special Edition will feature some new twists that will be revealed live!
Rules and Info
- The last three players alive on the twig platforms will receive the top three prizes
- Players will be given a kit consisting of a weapon, clothing, and ammo (for the standard rounds: hunting bow, 100 wooden arrows, one fire arrow).
- Each player will have ONE fire arrow that will instantly break a platform. Use them wisely!
- If you hit the spikes, or are not on a twig platform, you are out of the competition. It is possible to fall multiple levels which could get you in a wounded state. If you don't get back up, and die, you are out, although you can try to convince other players to help you back up.
If you fall and hit the next floor you may shoot the platforms above you if there are players above. However, if you are out of the competition, including in the spike traps but still alive, you are not allowed to continue shooting the platforms above you. This will disqualify you from future rounds. Also, playing and glitching by standing on the wall frames will get you a disqualification.
Prizes
There will be multiple rounds. Players from all servers and rejoins are more than welcome to join! Prizes can be transferred to other RustEZ servers upon request. For the final round, all participants will be competing for BIG prizes, including RustEZ store credit!
Final round prizes:
1st Place: $10 RustEZ Store Credit
2nd Place: $5 RustEZ Store Credit
3rd Place: 3x Supply Signals
*Prizes can be delivered to another RustEZ server upon request.*
Just a reminder that all server rules apply during events as well.
Good luck, and have fun everyone!

Thank you for appealing your ban.
You have had multiple chances to curb your behaviours on our servers and on Discord.
Your first PSA was for camping Bradley, sharing loot, and being disrespectful to other players on June 8.
Later that day, you received your first warning for player disrespect and stealing loot on cargo.
On June 9, you received a PSA for admin disrespect after a sexually suggestive comment.
On June 14, I muted you for 24 hours in Discord after you went on a long rant about the server rules and policies, and finished it with advertising other servers, which is against the rules.
This spilled over in-game, in which I asked you twice in chat to move on, followed by a final warning via console that disrespect and negativity is not allowed.
After this, on June 14, both you, myself, and Death were involved in a 30 minute conference call in which he heard your side of the story, and he explained the server rules and policies in depth. We both made it very clear that this was your final chance to change your behaviour and to follow the server rules. And that your behaviour and disrespect towards other players and admins was unacceptable.
The permanent ban today was for player disrespect and toxicity. Unprovoked, you went at another member of the community in global chat in-game, and when others stepped in, you went at them as well with insulting and disrespectul comments. Due to the sensitive nature of the chat, I will not post the transcript here publicly.
Your comments were completely unacceptable behaviour. Considering the number of chances you have had, a permanent ban was placed. And it will not be lifted.

Inactive purge is set at 10 days right now. For more information on inactive purge, see the following link:
https://rustez.com/faq/question/58-how-does-inactive-purge-work/If you want an admin from your server to look into this further, please either post in #help on Discord with your in-game name and tag the server you are on, or post a ticket here and include all relevant information:
https://rustez.com/help/There are a few possible causes for this, so I encourage you to reach out to an admin on your server so that they can help you figure it out, to prevent any more similar tragedies in the future.
-
Oh heck yeah!
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to everyone who participated, either by submitting your beautiful entries, by joining the build tour, or by voting!
I had a ton of fun going around and seeing everyone's different designs and interpretations of their ultimate Heli Tower, and seeing how well they withstood an onslaught of patrol helis!

Here's my little Mia.
She may seem sweet at first...
...but usually, she is just very spicy.
Of all the cats I have pet (and I have pet many) she has the softest fur... and the sharpest teeth. But I love her so.

Welcome to Get Shafted!
Event: Sunday, June 27 at 8PM EST on US Scourge
Everyone is welcome to join! Prizes will be delivered to any RustEZ server upon request.
Get Shafted is a new twist on a classic RustEZ event (think Kill-A-Watt and Knocking on Death’s Door.) When your turn comes, will you get lucky, or will you Get Shafted?
In this gruesomely glorious event, players are locked in their own elevator shaft. Each room is wired and connected to a random switch on the game board. In a gameshow-style format, shaft by shaft, players take turns picking a switch to try and eliminate the other contestants. The last three players left alive will win the top three prizes for that round.
How the Event Works
- Players join the event with an empty inventory and no access to backpacks or chat commands.
- Each player will choose their own shaft that they will be locked in until their death, or until the end of the round, if they are the winner.
- If there are more than 30 contestants, players may double up in a shaft, and both will receive prizes if they manage to survive.
- Once all players have a shaft, the round will begin.
- During the game, players will select a number (1-30), from the unselected numbers, until everyone has been killed except for the sole remaining player.
- When a number has been picked, the neon sign will go out, and players must choose from the remaining lit up numbers.
There will be three rounds total. The final round will have RustEZ store credit up for grabs!
Final Round Prizes
1st Place: $10 RustEZ Store Credit
2nd Place: $5 RustEZ Store Credit
3rd Place: 3x Supply Signals for the July Wipe
Good luck and have fun. Hope you don’t Get Shafted!

Quarry Issues Megathread
in Feedback
Posted
From Announcements on Discord, from Death:
"Starting this morning, public quarries will be temporarily deactivated as we slowly implement the reworked public quarry system. They will be disabled for 72 hours to give players time to remove their resources and for us to run tests to ensure stability. The new system will greatly improve server performance and stability and solve the data persistent issues that would sometimes cause fuel and resources to be wiped. There will be additional updates as well shortly to address hud bugs, map lag and other recently reported bugs. Sorry for the ping, I thought this would be helpful for players to know so they don't lose resources during the change!"
Quarries will be turned off for 2 more days. During this time, remove your resources and fuel so that you don't lose them!
