Offender: KarlThaGamer1788 Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 5:53PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Griefing and stealing More Info (Optional): Players were submitting numerous help requests in regard to helis being stolen all throughout the server. upon logging in, it was determined that Karl had stolen at least one of the helis in the complaints, so a warning was issued letting them know stealing is against server rules and urging them to type /rules in chat to avoid any further rule infractions. Player then apologized in chat claiming they didn't know about the rules. a short time later, i watched Karl swim to another players base and begin twigging onto the base in an attempt to access it. Karl was kicked with the message "read the rules and rejoin" as well as warned against griefing, again letting them know to type /rules in chat to bring up the server rules so they're aware of them. While taking care of the other players who also had helis stolen, the team came across at least 10 bases Karl had twigged onto as well as 8 to 10 helis they had used to fly from base to base to steal the next (not including ones successfully demolished in the crash which is unknown but we believe to be at least two). Given the extreme case of stealing and griefing in just a few hours on the server a permanent ban was issued to prevent Karl from returning to the server and causing severe disruption to the community on this scale again.

I lost a great long time gaming friend early on during covid, and the emotions were everywhere for a long long time. I had to take a break from the game for a while, but after returning, it helped me to do something for him in game each wipe so he was still there with everyone in spirit I'm sorry you're dealing with the loss of your friend, and hope rust and this community can help guide you through it like it did for myself! there is no singular action that "locks in" or "guarantees" loot for any player, at any monument, if others wish to participate, so no, if the other player participated in the monument it is not considered stealing unfortunately. -A3

hello @J4MB0N3Y and thanks for bringing up this concern with us. from the website FAQ regarding monuments Can I call dibs on a public monument or event? No. Public monuments (i.e. Oil Rigs or Military Tunnels) and server events , like the Attack Helicopter or Bradley APC spawning, are server-wide events in public spaces and typically aren't meant to be solo'd. If others want to participate there's nothing you can do about it – they want to have fun, the same as you. Compromise is a big part of playing on a community server! unfortunately if another player participated in the monument to any extent the expectation is that loot is shared amongst yourselves. sometimes the other player will not respond in chat which is unfortunate, but we dont consider that stealing. If you'd prefer to solo monuments it might work out better to try during lower population times if possible if you have any questions regarding this feel free to send them my way in game, or DM here or on discord! -A3

Offender: poster boy Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 1:40 AM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Stealing and griefing More Info (Optional): while dealing with another player stealing from a base nearby, i witnessed poster boy come to the same base, and begin to steal items via a base exploit. poster boy was immediately console warned that stealing was against the rules and asked to type /rules in chat to become familiar with the server rules and avoid further infractions. After receiving their first warning a curious neighbor came out and began to interact with poster boy. Poster boy began building a base which they invited the neighbor to check out, at which point poster boy built the base up around the neighbor and locked them in, upgrading the room the player was lock in to high qual to prevent their escape. I removed the neighbor from the base, and warned poster boy that building trap bases and/or locking players within a base is against the server rules and that they should type /rules in chat for a list of server rules. After the second warning poster boy was trying to lure the neighbor back into the base so they could lock the neighbor in again, hiding behind a corner with a door ready to place, however the neighbor returned to their own base and no longer interacted with poster boy. At this time, poster boy returned to the base they stole all their items from, and began to attempt to despawn the remaining items they had left in the boxes within the base. Given the amount of rule infractions within such a short period of time, it was clear that poster boy had no intent to follow the server rules and only wanted to grief the community, at which point a permanent ban was placed on their account.

Offender: fame runner Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 1:27 AM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Stealing More Info (Optional): I was called over for a player who was having an issue with someone inside their base attempting to despawn items. Upon teleporting to the location of the player i found fame runner near the base. While watching, fame runner ran back inside the players base and began to unlock their vehicle via the lift to try to steal it. At this time I kicked fame runner with the message "read the rules and rejoin". While the player was returning to the server i moved them to the hobo hut so they wouldnt be stolen from, as well as issued them a console warning notifying them that stealing is against the rules of the server and to use /rules in chat to bring up the server rules to avoid future infractions. Upon returning to the server, fame runner immediately found another players base to steal from via base exploit. After confirming they did in fact steal items from this base, i issued fame runner a second warning for stealing, again urging them to type /rules in chat to help become familiar with the server rules. Shortly after this warning fame runner returned to the base and began to steal more items, at which point it was obvious fame runner had no intention of abiding by our server rules and had logged in solely to grief and cause harm to the community. A permanent ban was issued for their account.

this incident had nothing to do with a sign, if it did it would have been a manual ban by a member of the admin team, and generally signs that break the rules would only be a warning (with a couple exceptions that are immediately bannable)

hello @cernr_ i would like to start off by making note that we are not allowed to discuss player bans with anyone beyond the admin team and the banned player, however what i can say is that if this is in relation to [REDACTED]'s ban, what you're being told is not what actually happened, and it was 100% legitimate, and 100% content created by that player at the time the autoban trigger happened. Appeals for that type of language ARE accepted from time to time, however in the players appeal post, instead of being sincere and giving us a reason to consider the appeal, they attempted to downplay the situation by lying about what actually happened. While we appreciate character witnesses, we can only consider the circumstances surrounding the incident when making a decision on a ban appeal. thank you for your understanding! -A3

it looks like you used F7 report, those reports go to facepunch and do not always alert the server admins unless they're actively watching the server at the time. For quicker response times we're generally watching #help on discord, or if you catch an admin in game taggin them with @(theirname) in global chat an asking for help i've passed your help request on to your admin team, so hopefully you recieve a response soon!

we are generally unable investigate lag complaints unless it's reported to us or we stumble across it naturally during gameplay, which doesnt always get a chance to happen. From that point it can be a days up to week long process of verifying lag with other admins, and working with the base owner(s) to make modifications that will be less impactful, so please keep in mind that (post report) just because you may not see anything being done immediately, that doesnt mean that nothing's being done

Offender: Text<colo Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 12:08 AM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Stealing More Info (Optional): After logging into the server to investigate a twigging incident, i had found that Text was actively twigging onto another players base after being asked to stop. Text was kicked at this time with the message "read the rules and rejoin" as well as sent a console warning advising them of our rules regarding twigging onto other players bases and griefing. Alongside this incident, i also found another base text had twigged onto as well as a base text entered without permission, took TC auth, and locked the TC on the base owner. After returning from this kick, Text proceeded to swim out to an island base and use exploits to enter the players compound where text stole food from the players chicken coop(s) and began to eat all of it. Text was warned at this time regarding our rules on stealing as well as urged to type /rules in chat to prevent future infractions or possibly receive a ban. After their second warning, text respawned themselves and immediately came upon a base with a couple rhibs in their boat garage. Text went to the neighbor's refinery which had a small amount of lowgrade in it and stole it, bringing it back and entering one of the rhibs they saw earlier and attempting to drive away with one of that players RHIB's. at this time, given the intentional ignoring of server rules and the impact on our community, text was issued a permanent ban for their actions.

Offender: Fungushumongous Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 11:33PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Griefing More Info (Optional): on 9/3/24 Fungus was warned for griefing after twigging onto 7+ bases, in addition to accessing any containers in bases he was able to enter, authorizing on TC's that werent their own, and locking players doors in an attempt to take over bases that werent theirs. Fungus was urged to type /rules in chat to become familiar with the server rules so that they may continue to play as an upstanding member of our community. on 9/10 Fungus was again found to have twigged onto another players base and accessed containers within that base. Fungus was warned a second time for griefing and stealing, and again fungus was asked to type /rules in chat to become familiar with the rules on our server, as any further instances of griefing could result in a ban from our servers. on 2/26/2025 while cruising around the map, i noticed that Fungus had twigged significantly onto a base that wasnt their own. Given their repeated history of these same exact infractions, and that they continue to brush off our server rules in order to maintain a toxic state of gameplay that's abusive to the community, a permanent ban has been placed on their account.

Offender: i want to greif you Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 10:58PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Griefing More Info (Optional): The player joined the server and immediately went to one of the first bases they saw and began twigging onto it. A warning was sent notifying them that twigging onto another players build is griefing and against the rules of our server. The player was urged to type /rules in chat to bring up the server rules and become familiar with them. Shortly after the previous warning the player returned to the base they had twigged onto earlier and stole the base owners scrap heli. i want to greif you was kicked with the message "read the rules and rejoin" and sent another console warning letting them know that stealing is against the rules, including players modes of transportation. The console warning included a second reminder to type /rules in chat to bring up the server rules so they could continue playing on our server. i want to greif you was moved to the hobo hut to protect their sleeper/loot and remove them from the base owners they were previously griefing. After returning from their kick, i want to grief you immediately left the hobo hut and began to place twig on it, at which point it became clear the player had no interest in playing on our server as a rule abiding member of the community, and a permanent ban was placed on their account to prevent further griefing of other players on our server.

Offender: Atraxz br Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 1:55PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Griefing More Info (Optional): on 5/15/24 Atraxz was warned along with their teammate for entering another players base via exploit and stealing a significant amount of items as well as the players mini helicopter and crashing it. Atraxz was sent a console warning outlining our rules regarding theft including typing /rules in chat to become familiar with our server rules to prevent breaking them in the future on 2/12 atraxz was warned along with their teammate for blocking the mouth of a river and given 24 hours to make modifications to their build so they can continue with the wipe and their base how they'd like, on their terms. Atraxz and their teammate immediately became combative in chat insisting that they were being targeted unfairly and that their neighboring bases blocking the river hadnt been warned. After being explained that we do not show favoritism to any players, and that the rules are applied evenly across the board, atraxz and their teammate began to destroy their own base and eventually rage quit the server. Atraxz and their teammate returned a short while later, and continued to play the game, however i was eventually notified by another player that the area atraxz base was located in was now covered by foundations. After teleporting to the area to confirm this, it was also noted that atraxz and their teammate had surrounded some bases with walls and foundations, twigged onto other players bases in the area, destroyed at least one players base, and laddered onto it. Given the severity and retaliatory nature of this griefing, over a relatively minor issue such as riverway blocking a permanent ban was placed on their account to avoid them coming back and causing more severe disruption to our community.

Offender: ☯۞SON-CFBR1۞☯ﾠツ Battlemetrics | Steam Server: US Pure Time: 1:55PM EST Length: Permanent Reason: Griefing More Info (Optional): on 5/15/24 the player had entered another players base via exploits with their teammate and stole numerous items from within the base as well as stealing the players mini heli and crashing it. Player was warned at that time in english and spanish that stealing is not allowed on our servers and they should type /rules inn chat to bring up the server rules and become familiar with them. on 2/3 player was warned for blocking off large areas of land encompassing the entire lower portion of a river they decided to build on, without any base build to make use of the land they had blocked off. The player was warned again that blocking off large areas of unused land was against the server rules and they would need to reduce the amount of TC's they had blocking the river to something they would be able to actively use. on 2/12 player was warned for blocking the entire mouth of the river they chose to build on. they were given 24 hours to make modifications, however immediately became argumentative in chat insisting that none of the neighboring bases blocking the river were warned, and that we were targeting th em specifically. After letting them know that any and every base in violation of the rules at that time had been dealt with accordingly and that we do not play favorites, player decided to rage quit with their teammate anyways prior to making any modifications to their base. a short while later the player and their teammate returned to the server, and i was eventually notified by another player on the server that the banned player and their teammate had covered the entire grid square in foundations and walls upon their return. i teleported to the area and found significant retaliatory building, as well as multiple neighboring bases griefed, destroyed, twigged, and laddered on to. at this point a ban was issued to stop the griefing and allow me time to sort out the situation. Given the severity of the griefing displayed here after what was a generally minor issue a permanent ban was placed onn their account to prevent further actions such as the ones displayed today.
