    LAG ...Wow

    Your Operating System choice has no bearing on the lag you experience connecting to the server(s). It's not possible to connect to the server without Easy Anti-Cheat enabled, so consequently Microsoft Windows is the only option Issues impacting the Valve Content Distribution Network - or other steam game servers for that matter - do not affect the lag you experience on the RustEZ server(s) The main causes for network lag are the following factors: Congestion - too many connections queued at a hop/node which result in delayed packet delivery Distance - each hop/node adds a slight delay, some more than others due to congestion Home Network - non-standard network configuration or strange routing from your gaming PC to WAN Regarding PC lag - Rust is based on the Unity Engine, which seems to be very CPU-intensive. Having a good GPU is great, but you can always turn down your graphics settings if you don't have a decent card. Loading entities is achieved purely by CPU computation, hence the stuttering when getting in close proximity to large bases. See here for more information.
  3. Players were unable to exit the airfield green puzzle room by pressing the button next to the door. The button appears to depress, however the OR-switch underneath does not show a green light and subsequently open the door. Players are also reporting that door controllers are not opening doors in their bases. The issue seems isolated to Pure servers; Survival seems unaffected.
  4. The Community Flying School on [AU] Pure is open to the public in grid S20! Two courses are provided for the purpose of training new pilots at their own pace: Bronze Pilots must fly the provided minicopter contained inside a hangar and maintain a hover at the convergence point of two laser sensors for 5 seconds consecutively. Doing this 5 times in a row will complete this course. Silver Pilots must supply their own minicopter, taxi into a hangar and activate a pressure pad. Upon activation of the pressure pad a random neon sign will activate instructing the pilot to fly to, land and return from the monument indicated. Doing this 5 times in a row will complete the course.
